  1. Never thought I'd say this but The General sounds like crap! I like the live version but this recording is just filled with layers of shit that go beyond "industrial" and just make it this noise that could be used for torture. I got no enjoyment out of it. I also think the vocals are new since he doesn't go all out banshee out hell with the wails.
  2. I made a thread about this a while ago. I also like it, despite it being a rough demo bit. I like how it's like reversely saying the same thing as George Harrison's (of da Beatles) Something. Good song could be made of it, I'm sure, but not with Slash's southern rock sound.
  3. Of course it could also be that he actually doesn't have recollection of that spesific night. Maybe Axl has had plenty of such nights and this doesn't stick out, no matter how much she stuck a finger up his ass.
  4. Good take. Not saying it's not possible but she does not have any credibility, because of the reasons above.
  5. Errare humanum est. It's great if you have a healthy view on women, but not everyone is there right away. People grow up in different situations and it really doesn't help if you use drugs, women throw themselves at you without any regard to their own value. If rock stars have warped view on women, it really is no surprise. Being a celebrity alone brings along all kinds of leeches and hangers on, probably hard to treat people well when it's abuse and be abused situation. And again drugs ans alcohol rarely make people nice. I understand that in the days of rock'n roll decadence, it wasn't pretty and it's on you if you get dissapointed by them. I wouldn't cast judgement. It's sad, really. They are all victims of the culture they inhabited.
  6. Why mad at Axl for being young and reckless? He can't help it now, nor then. You give money, drugs and fame to a 20 year old, put him in a culture that glorifies it (whole LA and celeb scene) and expect good behaviour? And the women who hang around with people like that expect nothing bad will happen? Being drunk and high on drugs doesn't make you a good decision maker, be it man or a woman. I think both parties ought to look themselves in the mirror.
  7. Wasn't there are rumor that video was shot for Chinese Democracy, back when Axl had the cornrows?
  8. I was just reffering to this whole thing that might or might not unfold with Fernando. I don't want to think that Axl and TB is that close to Brian Wilson situation. Axl seems a bit more his own man.
  9. Axl is in his 60's, I'm sure he really doesn't need this bullshit Hollywood court drama. But when you got millions and you are active, it must be inevitable..
  10. Ahahh, don't man. I feel the same and it's just absurd if that happens. But that's what the goddamn cosmic joker seems to love when it comes to dealing with Guns fans. I'm laughing you omnipotent bastard, I'm laughing (and going insane).
  11. Oh, now now. Absurd, Hard Skool, Perhaps and The General.
  12. They have been playing together so that should tell you something. And I'm sure media would love to have the big three on some talk show to talk about it, but since Axl really doesn't seem to care for that kind of publicity, it is what it is. And I think good for them. The music should be the forefront of what's going on in Guns. Should be...
  13. Could be that or she and her legal team are looking for an easy money. They know there is no case, but they also know Team Brazil don't want no hassle, so there's a 50/50 shot of them going "Okay take some money and shut up! My boss is sleeping!".
  14. This. That's why this could turn into a real shit show. If he does get fired, and he is high on ego and coke, it's gonna be lawsuit against Axl for sure. Isn't that what pretty much always happens in showbiz? Sued and countersued.
  15. Maybe. But with how shady (at least to outside) it is to have this "family" around a multi million dollar rock star, it's ripe for a true crime story. With pressure mounting who knows what can happen. Maybe nothing.
  16. The coulda, woulda, shoulda that now lives in a van down by the river. Broken by years of litigation.
  17. Aaaaand it's goodbye to any new album releases from Gnr. Calling it now. The sexual harrassment may or may not have happened, but it sure makes media more interested about this case, it's trendy.
  18. It would be a nice throwback to the olden days with comments like these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf8FqSsQP28
  19. When or if we ever get the Chinese leftovers, would be interesting if Axl had a new, maybe more relaxed and upbeat song about renewed friendships. Since most of the ChiDem song have been about loss and wasted feelings and what have you, with the renunion it would be nice to hear his thoughts about getting something back in his life (i.e. Slash😄)and how that has felt. "You were up in my ass, that's where you were. Now with the times pass Our friendship like a warm fur.." Feel free to use that Axl! 😆
  20. You make a good point, I totally forgot that. And he makes a good point, it happens in abuse cases that the love hungry mother ingores the child when something bad is going on. Sad stuff all around.
  21. Looks more like something he would say about his ex. Why would he call his abusive parent "baby"? Obviously Axl feels he was the victim and Stephanie or whoever this is about had a dirty secret. Maybe that SHE was the psycho or whatever. It's all in the past. But clearly this song reads more like a breakup song.
  22. I can understand that view and keeping things "simple" like AC/DC would have probably produced more released music. However I have liked industrial rock bands like Filter and nu-metal like Evanescence, so I'm all for these styles. Although some of these demos are so pop, they would feel really out of place next Bad Obsession or You could be mine. Regardless, Axl and the guys he worked with 20 years ago really had a good grasp on these different genres they were experiementing with. I dont think it can be said that OMG is a bad industrial rock song or that Axl writes bad pop songs. He can produce great music! It just might not always fit into that box of what Guns is suppose to sound like to some people.
  23. Who else thinks Eye On You could be a James Bond tune (without the "macdaddy") and a companion piece to another James Bond tune If The World? At least in an alternative universe where James Bond was more sort of more cyber spy thing? I can totally see it! Am I alone?
