This thread is about Axl being sued for sexual assault, but has gotten hijacked into being about Creepy Fans collecting Axl's used bandaids. 🤨😵‍💫 I have a thread that is specifically about Creepy/ disturbing/weird Fans of Guns N'Roses . 💡

We dont really need a another random thread for this. Not everything needs to be new threads.

What is so immoral about it, though? People collect the weirdest things. If there's no harm to anybody involved, it seems rather silly for other people to get worked up about it.

A used bloody bandaid is pretty disgusting in most peoples eyes. Even on a fan forum like this most sane people would never consider doing anything like this let alone bragging about it on social media.

Axl in his status is not innocent and plays a part if giving these to the minions with their obvious mental health issues.

These are supposedly grown adults we are talking about behaving like this lol

You know what i think is weird and stalkerish, going to multiple different posts of mine, taking screen shots and then posting here. You didn’t block out my name in my passport so why draw the lines through to the name to pretend you are being respectful?
You need a life, we have a silly hobby, so what, why do you care? You know what’s weirder than collecting band aids, spending time talking about it and searching for multiple posts about it.

No collecting the bandaids from another human is not a hobby its creepy, disgusting and immoral. Go learn to play a sport or instrument or something. You know a real hobby normal sane people do.

A person holding an Umbrella over  another person is a normal occurrence around the world for many different reasons, some are religious, some culturual, out of respect, out kindness and courtesy, due to the rain, due to sun, due to a skin condition and for some to protect their privacy.

The holder of the Umbrella could be any person, a family member, a husband, a wife, a mother/father, a grandmother/grandfather, a stranger, a worker, a person showing respect or being kind and thoughtful.

Maybe some of you should visit an island in the Pacific and see what happens when an elder leaves the house, a younger person will grab an umbrella as a sign of respect to protect the elder from the sun and heat. Like many cultures around the world, the Pacific Island culture is rasisd to respect your elders and family members.

    Whats the big deal....

Can we now stay on the topic at hand.

If anything he should be a gentleman and holding it for her.

A little bit more Slash news. Mods can move threads if they wish but thought I would post here due to the non activity of actual Guns n Roses the band.

    https://deadline.com/2024/04/slash-paramount-drama-the-crow-girl-1235882290/

EXCLUSIVE: Slash is set to shred some solos for Paramount+’s latest British drama series.

The Guns N’ Roses guitarist has boarded The Crow Girl as an exec producer. He will also contribute to the soundtrack for the show, alongside composer Adam Price.

It comes after the streamer ordered the project to series, which comes from Marcella producer  Buccaneer, last month.

Deadline understands that the musician, otherwise known as Saul Hudson, is a big fan of the novel, written by Erik Axl Sund, and brought it to Buccaneer.

Starring Eve Myles, Katherine Kelly and Dougray Scott, The Crow Girl begins with the gruesome discovery of a teenage boy’s body discarded in plain sight. Determined to find who is responsible, DCI Jeanette Kilburn joins forces with psychotherapist Sophia Craven to hunt the killer, despite opposition from her superiors including confidant DI Lou Stanley.

The Crow Girl is the first major TV writing gig for Milly Thomas, who acted in the likes of The Crown and Sex Education. The six-part series is currently in production in Bristol.

Slash will exec produce alongside Tony Wood and Richard Tulk-Hart for Buccaneer, Thomas, Federico Ambrosini, Niclas Salomonsson and Erik Axl Sund.

Charles Martin and Rebecca Rycroft will direct with Andy Mosse serving as producer.

Slash said, “I fell in love with Erik Axl Sund’s novel The Crow Girl and was really excited to partner with Buccaneer to produce it. There’s an amazing cast and crew working hard to bring the harrowingly dark and suspenseful story to life as a limited series. It looks amazing.”

Tony Wood, co-CEO of Buccaneer, added, “Working with Slash has been a privilege. He knew Erik Axl Sund’s powerhouse of a trilogy before we did, and he brings an amazing insight to it. Working with an artist of such standing from the music world has brought a fresh perspective to the project and has massively elevated the work.

    Do you like it?

Yes its great. Both songs sound better than any of the reunion gnr songs. Mixing, production, everything.

I prefer Oh Well so far.

(Slashs band is also really on point).

His sounding more of the old Slash too. Hyped for the album

I saw SMKC last week and it was amazing how much energy the band had. Just 2 hours of straight up Rock. Then I watched Guns at the Whiskey in 1986 and was reminded that they were a great hard rock band with lots of attitude and energy at one point.

And while I get the whole evolution thing, I’d love to see them go back to their roots for awhile at least.

Leave the pianos and keyboards at home, play as a 5 piece, limit the show to 4 ballads, cut the songs over 7 mins, limit the guitar changes etc. Don’t drag songs out like KOHD. Even if the show is shorter, just keep the energy going.

Id love to see that. And sure Axl did ACDC which is a similar vibe.

    Am I alone?

I think Axl needs somewhere to hide. His voice up front and centre in a accoustic setting leaves his vocal issues very exposed.

The title cut was a bad choice for the first single for the 2008 album. Better, IMO was the obvious best choice. TWAT, while amazing, doesn't strike me as radio friendly. My second favorite song off that album is This I Love, which I also don't think is radio friendly.

If you judge by current streams This I Love would have been the best first single.

But everyone get's a certificate for these awards too, and maybe the envelope saying whos the winner. It would be quite lame to have an actual ceremony just to give them a certificate as if they were finishing high school. lol

''One of the oldest bands without an actual Grammy, here's your certificate, congrats, bozos!''

Yep it is lame and i dont expect any of the AFD 5 to be there to get their certificates.

Wu tang, cypress hill, public enemy, ICE T or ICE Cube would all be great fits and add something to the line up and show. However i dont think it would add much to ticket sales. It'd still be a majority older white crowd who would like this. A young black hip hop fan isn't going to go and check out gnr for $200.

I understand the argument people saying that motley sell to the same crowd, but when you have seen gnr already, it gives you more bang for your buck. So i don;t think you really need a crossover audience, you just need to give more incentive to your existing audience to turn up. Any big band that are slightly lesser than GnR in the standings would be great. When i saw GnR at Hyde park in 2023, a big sell was the darkness and the pretenders being on the bill. Ive seen GnR 17 times since 06. and axl is getting worse each time, so if you aren't giving me a brand new album played in full, you have to give me 1/2 other really big live acts to make it a must see.

To me Motley is really a bad fit and the reason is the well known vocal issues Vince has plus no mick mars (the only talented one live lol)

I can only imagine the media and backlash of a overpriced stadium tour with 2 struggling singers.

I haven't seen them, but I know people who have. If you like their music, their show is enjoyable. But 'pyro, big choruses and big hits' also applies to bands like Motley lol. Someone like Carrie is supposed to be a left-field choice, she's successful on her own and would bring a different audience, but there's also a connection.

I'd like to see them get 'weird' with the opening bands - Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Yelawolf, Foxy Shazam, Jelly Roll, Stop Light Observations, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, there's tons of cool artists they could bring on tour. I've seen 6 shows since 2016 and Alice In Chains opened 4 of them... I like AIC but give me some variety lol.

They did mix it up earlier on with nitl.

I remember seeing skrillex for example.
