  1. Axl ‘86-‘93 kicked ass. Total rock “star”. Unpredictable (good or bad) he was a true icon. Today’s Axl- seems happy as hell but he’s a corporate machine. Static and predictable. Still love and respect the dude though.
  2. Anybody read about Jon Bon Jovi? He had pretty serious vocal surgery about 2 years ago. He has only sang live since and wants to tour again but knows it might be over. He said he needs to get the voice to be able to handle 2.5 hours a night 4 days a week to make touring possible again. Not sure if any type of surgery would help Axl or if father time has just caught up with our hero. No matter- the artists that actually sing live are dwindling, so we best appreciate them. - https://ew.com/jon-bon-jovi-vocal-cord-surgery-recovering-tca-8575667#:~:text=The Grammy-winning Bon Jovi,19 months ago%2C PEOPLE reports.
  3. Gilby was the perfect replacement for Izzy. He is a cool cat. Wish Axl coulda got over Richard and Frank and brought Gilby n Matt back these last 7 years. No one really cares now.
  4. I wonder if he told her "Turn around bitch.....I'm bored!"? Seriously though- 35 years later is BS. Sadly Axl is better off writing her a check and having this go away.
  5. My 2 favorite bands. Axl and Jon are both vocally a shell of their prime, however Axl is still a 'rock star' (looks & dresses as such). Jon let his hair go full gray an dresses like...yeesh. Saw 2 shows of Jovi's last 'tour' (13 shows in April 2022). Totally robotic/cruise control. The energy is gone (Jon just stands there unlike when he would work the stage) vs Axl who still plays the part (running around, tossing mic, moving around the stage) etc... Part of it is Join needs Richie back (Richie still plays the rock star and his backing vocals are missed greatly by Jon).

  7. Wonder how they "split the loot" these day (since the reunion)? 40% Axl, 30% Slash and 30% Duff? Or more 50/25/25? **With the rest on salary
  8. I remember watching this back when MTV was relevant and interviews like this were taken for granted. Just watched it again now (brought me back). How good would a Kurt Loder / Axl interview be again now (30 years later) be? Axl never seemed to have any issue with Loder. -
  9. They were shit “musicians” just happy to soak off of GnR’s teet. Literal no one’s before and after (and during) their stint as hired musicians in AxL’s solo band. Stinson had a little bit of cred. The rest just shit.
  10. Nope. Maybe like 3 extra sold tickets…literally. Bon Jovi reuniting with Sambora would be a jolt, not sure who else
  11. Izzy must be fully retired these days. Guessing he’s long out of picture. Steven still rocking but his old pals don’t trust him. I’m not sure a full AFD reunion tour would even move the needle anymore for anyone other than us diehards.
  12. Do kinda what Metallica are doing - 2 nights each town within 2 entirely different sets. Appetite and Lies one night with Steven and Izzy. UYI’s best of with Gilby/Matt the next night. Something along those lines.
  13. Isn't Duff the "financial guru" in the band? I know he started his wealth management company Meridian Rock years ago (not sure it it's still around?). But I bet he woulda been behind this concept as much as or more than Axl, however the name Axl Rose carries more negotiating power than Duff I would assume.
  14. So where do we (GnR) go from here?- https://blabbermouth.net/news/slash-to-resume-touring-with-slash-featuring-myles-kennedy-the-conspirators-in-january-2024
  15. Ok. This AI shit is starting to freak me out. FallingTo Pieces —- that’s a great song but the AI version. Yeesh…

  17. Whether we like it or not it's great that Slash and Duff have always been writing/recording/releasing new music. Some of what they've done has been brilliant and some not so much, but at least they keep moving forward. I'm sure if Axl had gone that route (see Robert Plant) hw would have a boat load of stuff we'd love, some we hated, some we would be like 'meh'. Unfortunately that's not gonna happen...so here we are.
  18. I think it’d be pretty kick ass to see todays GnR with Axl’s 1991 voice.
