  1. I would do nothing to change the memory of the two shows I went to.  I enjoyed the songs.  I really loved the jams.  I really don't understand the hate for the Rocket Queen noodle.  Seeing the band that the song and really expand on it is really great to watch / listen to.

3.5 hours is long, this is true.  But after I spent the time and money to be there, might as well make the most of it.  It's 2023.  We know exactly when the show has to end by.  There's no blowing through curfew like in the past.  If they have to end by 11pm, why not start at 8 and not 9pm?  The show will end at the time regardless of when they start.  Wouldn't you rather have music instead of nothing?

  2. I don't dislike the song.  I also don't love the song.  The General feels incomplete.  It has some cool riffs, guitar and vocal parts.  Starts strong, has an intriguing middle but really lacks in the climax.  I don't know if it's because it doesn't have the bombastic vocals popular in many CD era songs or a strong solo.  The song just seems to end.

No, he felt that the money he was paid by the company that works with GN'R and handles the concert merchandise was not enough and that he should be able to sell copies himself:

The ability for the artist to sell a limited number, specifically designated as Artist Edition or something to the effect, is a widely accepted practice with most of the other bands I follow that do concert specific lithos.

IIRC correct, a GNR artist that wanted to separately sell a stock of posters - did via eBay auction - where the prices were much higher than the original value.  I have never seen that before.

^^ As an example of artists that have that ability

What the artist asked for doesn't seem unusual.  What was unusual is that I believe it was sold on eBay w/o a fixed price.

  4. There is a lot I don't understand.

Benzova also accused Lebeis of once trying to force his way into her hotel room after she rejected his requests to drink wine with him at 6 a.m. In another alleged incident from May 2018, Benzova claimed Lebeis tried to force himself on her and “continued to pressure Benzova to succumb to his sexual demands for 10 minutes — physically touching her, coercing her, continually trying to force himself onto Benzova in a dark alley outside of her house.”

This sounds very bad.  However, this is in May of 2018.  Bezova stayed with the band for several more years after this - until 2022.  I have questions about this incident, the exact nature of their relationship, and why it took another four years to report this.

So what you're implying here? That she put money in a higher position than her own self-respect and integrity despite knowing it could harm her emotionally and physically?

No women involved with artists, pro athletes, and so on would ever do that!

I don't think sarcasm works that well on the internet, especially on a serious topic.

    It's unfortunate all around.

  6. "The suit asserts that Benzova had tried to use written contracts with Guns N' Roses repeatedly since 2016, but her efforts were ignored. It further states that in October of 2022, Lebeis cut ties with Benzova and cited various reasons for her termination, including "budgetary concerns." It adds that Benzova believes that Lebeis discriminated against her because she rejected his alleged sexual advances, and claims another photographer for the band, Jarmo, wasn't treated in the same regard as she was.

Is Jarmo a common name?  Is or wasn't there a forum led by a Jarmo?

Unless you’re in the USA I’m skeptical it’s been delayed in general…

Edit. Nevermind haha. If this isn’t released tomorrow on streaming to make up for this physical delay…fuck this band. Pathetic.

Are you asking if I'm in the USA and got a delayed email?  Yes.  I am in the US and I was just notified it's been delayed.

  9. I'm not disputing that they weren't a stadium tour act in North America during the original run.   I would point out that outside of the GNR/Metallica tour - they didn't really tour America during the time bands would play stadiums.

GNR toured America from 24 May until 3 August 1991.  While they didn't play stadiums, they played some really large amphitheaters and big venues.  A few of the venues sold as much tickets as a stadium on the GNR

The next North American tour was from 5 December 1991 - 1 February 1992.  I don't think anyone would tour a stadium then.  There was a mini tour scheduled for April 1992 that ended early due to arrest according to GNRontour.

The next time GNR toured America it was from 23 February 1993 through 18 April 1993.  Not exactly stadium tour season.

Also, if you believe the numbers.  GNR sold 47,498 tickets on the first night of the Metallica/GNR summer tour.  GNR sold 40,000 tickets two nights in a row at Alpine Valley in Summer 1991.

GNR is awesome, in other words.

Planning out my day for the Vancouver show and based on what I've read the last few months: should I be at the stadium before noon to snag a litho from the merch truck?  Aiming to get a few shirts from the truck as well. Or should I grab them inside the venue?

When GN'R was in Vancouver in 2017, I had my brother grab the merch while I was at work. He grabbed a litho and some shirts for both himself and me and the quality of the shirts has held up since then. Is there a merch truck/inside venue quality discrepancy now?

I'm thinking to go around 11am.

    Enjoy

  11. The Alamo Dome is a convention center / football stadium built in the 1990s with the hope of drawing an NFL team.  That never happened but UTSA uses it and sells a lot of tickets I'm told.

Source from inside the stadium have told me that the event specific concert tee is sold out.  I'm pleased to report my inside man liked the blue shirt with the tour dates on the back.
