I think it's him on Monsters but I get the doubts there. But I can tell you it's definitely, 100%, without a doubt Slash on the right channel on The General. I heard it on repeat the whole night over headphones and I know it's Slash. Maybe he playes note for note BH stuff and Slashed it up like he did with TWAT but its definitely Slash playing.

I could imagine they recorded these two tracks but decided to cut and paste them together as one song for the vinyl release. I could live with that decision when they release them eventually in full length digitally or later on a full album when they put every separately released reworked CD track together. You're 100% wrong about The General.

Yeah, both Axl and Slash are going in the same direction during the chorus. Its like a relief from Axl's part, like 'I told ya, i did my best but you wouldn't listen, it's not my fault' kind of thing. And Slash's complenenting and underlining the same feelings with his guitar there. Then there's this part where Axl sings like from a child perspective just to change again into expressing his pain and anger. In that context mood change makes some sense.

Miles ahead of Hard Skool and Perhaps! I think Absurd mashes better with both musically. Would have been a cool little EP. At first listen I was like wtf!? But both songs were grower and I listened to them on repeat for quite some time now Something I wouldn't even consider doing with their previous releases. How some have pointed out, it's interesting and it's dark, I like it a lot. Songwriting reflects the CD Era but with Slash and Duff adding their input to it, there are definitely important GNR elements back in the sound, which lead it more into the right direction. Holy Shit that's the best thing I've heard from Axl since the CD era. That nasty vocals full of anger on Monsters. Awesome. Slash's work on both songs is incredible. His outro on The General is mean. Very bad ass. I hope it’s a little bit more prominent in the final mix. If someone still has doubts it's him should check out his outro solo and overall work on Alice Coopers Vengeance Is Mine I felt the main solo on Monsters was a bit underwhelming at first listen but then Axl kicks in phenomenal. There's a lot cool and groovy riffing going on during the verses and a truly beautiful guitar outro by a guy who was criticized many times by some guys on this forum and whose abilities were questioned within the fanbase during the last few years. That right here was the answer to all that.

That's 100% Slash on the right Channel on The General. No question about that imo. If that's all Richard on the left, than more props to him. On the 9min video, that I can't listen to on my phone anymore, the mix was way better than on these instrumental demos that I'm listening to, right now, therefore you could listen to them much better quality and make out its 100% Slash

I think the blues influenced solo record is already recorded but since 4 has only been toured in the US so far, they have to finish that first. The rest of the world tour should have happened in 2023 so they are a little late, but I think we're gonna hear more about the solo record once the GNR tour is over and the SMKC tour starts.
