  1. To me it’s in the middle. I wouldn’t say Izzy’s not an important GNR member nor that he’s the most important one. I think he’s as important as Axl and Slash. Pulling one of‘em out of the formula and you got… less. Having said that, his solo music is not as inspiring to me as the music the other two are responsible for. I don’t like everything on CD but its heights are definitely untouchable by Izzy’s material and so are Slash’s. Izzy has some cool songs but all in all they sound like rough demos to me. Like, probably what they are, unfinished GNR songs that lack Axl and Slash.
  2. So you admit that Axl prefers Slash’s take on the released singles over Fincks, Bucketheads and Bumblefoots?
  3. In opposition to those who think Axl is the only one who makes the decisions I believe as long as Duff and Slash are in GNR there won’t be song releases without their input.
  4. I think Izzy makes exactly what he wants to do. He’s smart enough and he was very well aware of what life he wanted to live. He wouldn’t have left GNR in the first place if he wanted the fame.
  5. Of course you can. Regardless of the truth. It doesn’t affect anybody’s opinion on this topic. I’m sure there are people who love the original and are happy about a new rendition of the same song.
  6. I don’t doubt she does and her information may be valid in the market she’s responsible for. But the numbers of past and current tours here in Europe are telling a different story.
  7. It’s a cover album full of classics. You can say that about every other song on the record too.
  8. I loved it. Thought the sound of the first few songs were a little bit muddy but that got fixed and the band is like a good oiled machine just running and running, delivering an intense 2 hours rock show full of energy. It’s crazy how critical they’re viewed on this forum but how they’re able to rock the crowd with basically almost own songs, including mosh pits and singalongs. My personal highlight was Wicked Stone, which was very well received by everyone around me. The little blues part he worked into WS’s solo was phenomenal. Starting as a slow blues number, getting faster and faster until it morphed into some kind of a metal tune. I thought it might contained some elements of Metal Chestnut. Would be great. Myles shined on Rocket Man which was very well received by the audience as well. I still prefer Slash on guitar, though
  9. You’re probably not well informed but Slash with SMKC have outsell arenas with a capacity of 14-15 thousand here in Europe. I don’t know how well his current tour is attended but he has pulled arena crowds regularly outside of the US
  10. It isn’t on European YouTube either. Maybe on Friday like usually? Haven’t heard about a release so far.
  11. Nothing more ridiculous than Since I Don’t Have You
  12. Hopefully they have a blast touring this record and they come along pretty well with each other. Maybe they start writing some kind of new music all together while touring and sound checking and it’s the beginning of something really great
  13. Oh I missed this one, thanks. Wonder how Chris Stapleton sounds on it, but the instrumental of Oh Well is pretty awesome.
  14. Sorry, link seemingly doesn’t lead directly to the snippet. But it’s out there, somewhere on Insta and Twitter. And it’s the one I’m the most excited for, based on the material we got to so far. Sounds brilliant, even if it’s just 10 sec. snippet.
  15. Anybody listened to the new snippet? holy mthfr https://www.instagram.com/reel/C40va43PgGm/?igsh=NTkzM250bzJwaHV3
