  1. Ok… I'll play along. If I had a one one on audience with Axl Rose, I wouldn't bring up the new band vs old band thing. Why would I? I'd thank him for making such amazing albums like AFD and UYII and basically annoy the fuck out of him by telling him how much I admired him back in his heyday and that he was one of my heroes growin up, I'd ask him to sign my Cds and basically have a nice chat with him about the band and his music.

  2. I've seen people dislike Sweet Child (though I never understood why) and even November rain, but I've never seen someone dislike Welcome to the Jungle. Am I the only one who thinks this is the only mediocre song on Appetite For Destruction?

It has an amazing delayed intro, but that's where the enjoyment ends for me. Mediocre verse and chorus riffs, boring solos and most noteably, lyrics feel unstructured and all over the place.

    Anyone agree?

  3. I mean… really? I am sorry. I really respect the US and stuff, but I think America's obsession with race and with being politically correct has gone too far. I am not racist, but the human torch is not black. It´s a white character that should only be played by a white actor. What's next? An Asian Batman? A black Hulk? A Latino Thor? A Black Spiderman? I mean… jeez...

And what's worse is that those who can't or won't get it through their thick skulls that the human torch is not black pull the race card if you are against an African American playing a white character…. sigh...

Just like I've always complained when Jesus is played by white actors, because Jesus was not white, I complain about this… like a lot of people on Twitter and online forums.

  4. That's the kind of fanboy comment that results in endless bickering and arguing.

If me, making such a statement like, "I believe Axl Rose is the greatest frontman of all time" makes me a fanboy, then so be it & I have no shame. That statement is my honest-to-God belief and opinion. He's my favorite singer in my favorite band, then & now. Honestly sorry if it bothers anyone, but he's never done any wrong in my eyes.

It doesn't bother me, at all. It's just that I love Internet forums and I have to say that more often that not these endless arguments begin with someone saying: X is the greatest Y in history. Thereupon, someone says: No, Z is the greatest Y in history. If you actually think X is the greatest Y in history, you're an idiot. Then, hilarity ensues.

I suggest you try it. For instance, go to a Star Trek forum and say: J.J Abrams' Into Darkness is the greatest Star Trek movie ever, then sit down and enjoy the show.

haha that scenario actually reminds me of the time I went to a Metallica forum shortly after Death Magnetic was released and I was like, "Meh. Sounds like Load..." hahaha.

EDIT: The Internet wouldn't be as much fun if there weren't angry keyboard warriors like fanboys ready to defend their tastes.
