if Azoff's pitch to get hired by Axl was a reunion in its center, I don't think Axl would have went for it. Axl didn't need Azoff to make a reunion happen anyway, he needed Azoff to make the release of Chinese the biggest it can be and not just financially.
it seems like he just used Axl to hopefully get a chunk of the reunion money. Would you be satisfied if someone you've hired to do a job for you decided what you wanted was not the right direction to go and just fed you some bullshit? I think that would have pissed me and a lot of people off.
this. I understand that the reunion always was gonna bring in more money, but had Azofff done right by Axl and tried to do the job he was hired to do, the reunion could have happened down the line with him still at the helm of it, but the man got greedy and it cost us Robin being in the band. would have been funny if Slash came back only for Axl to fire Azoff anyway before the touring started.

How can you be so sure about that? We don't know if Slash loves or hates to play those songs. You are probably just making assumptions based on your own mind.
Slash would never play CD songs at a SMKC gig (he wont even play NR or Estranged for that matter - Axl's songs) but he seems to enjoy them in the context of GN'R.
I said he butchers them, not that he doesn't like them, he might even listen to them from time to time in his own time for all I care, but his own interpretations of those songs are truly not up to standards, not his own, and not to the original solos or past interpretations of them by the other guitarist that have been in this band. Honestly I know it's impossible but I wish Bumblefoot had stuck around, specially considering that the band is doing right now the idea he had all the way back in 2010.

Nahh he does, he might play them out of respect for Axl or to keep the peace within the band, but his solos on Chinese material are usually quite the downgrade on most cases.

mmm.... Instrumental is better on the released version, chorus is better on the leak, but the verses do sound better on the album, I so wish I knew how to do mixes, that would be one I would love to do.

love the track, I don't think they'll ever touch it now that Tommy is gone, I do believe it would be awesome if Axl ran into Tommy and they that track together along with ten percenter.

Has anyone posted on this youtuber that has been using Axl's voice on other songs? They are really good and interesting. Search for this channel "Zoyer".
I have, thought it was fun, truly wish he would do other songs though. Something by Aerosmith or SMKC would be nice, maybe even a Bumblefoot or Buckethead song.

I liked fall to pieces, just think the AI fails with Axl because it needs two or three different AIs, so to speak, one to emulate the higher registry, one for the lower voice, and a third one for the mid range, then mix the best part of each version to recreate the full song. Old dogs can lay under the sun for all I care, is fun to be able to hear this. Not really art, in the common sense, but it is still fun.

Jahh fuck it, is just another tool for entertainment. And at the end of the day, that's all that this is, entertainment. AI won't stop artists from doing their own thing and creating something new (maybe keep a few of them having regular jobs though) so I really don't think it's as bad as some of you try to make it seem. Is not art if it's not human, perhaps, but there's still value in entertainment that doesn't come from art.
After all, technology is another form of human expression.

He’s not ruining it. He’s adding his own style to it. Same thing the other guitarists did on all of the old material from 99-2014
Dude you're giving Slash to little credit, we know what this guy is capable, and 5his just wasn't it, no emotion, no melody, no nothing just random noodling for the sake of noodling. Made me miss Ron and Bucket.

Can't we get someone to break Fortus's arm so we can get Bucket or Ron onstage with Slash for TWAT or Shacklers?
To be fair after that first Street of Dreams. I would break Slash's arm for another Ron or Bucket's performance.

live... not so much as I used to, I think 2016, beginnings of 2017 was the last time I cared, but I still want new music, I still love the leaks and CD, not the biggest fan of the reunion but is ok, just wish they would have put more content out before it.
Also I just wish the best for everyone, past and present members of the band they all brought something I enjoyed. I still listen to Buckethead and Bumblefoot and even Sixx.A.M, I'm a fan of Tommy Stinson, liked the Dizzy solo album, listen to SMKC... so yeah I care.

Interesting that out of the 5 albums, 3 are closers. Would you say that some of their best songs are closers?
Yes I would, I think they have a history of saving the best for last. Aside from UYI II.

hmmm... depends the record:
AFD- Rocket QueenLies-Patience
UYI- Coma/Estranged
CD-Prostitute/TWAT/Catcher

Unfortunately I do know about addiction. Posting on this forum... GnR & Music is something I like and enjoy discussing. It’s not social media. It’s a forum about a topic I’m interested in, I visit sports forums and music forums also. If I don’t check them whatever, I get the news elsewhere. Like I said, there’s a million more ways of keeping in contact with people now than 30 years ago. You can still receive and send videos or pics to family and friends without social media. Social media addiction is mental. Your not physically addicted. It’s pathetic.
this is literally social media, just because is smaller in scale doesn't change the fact.

It does. He clearly did more than Shacklers.
Post 99, he did TIL2, Shacklers, Scraped, Better, General, Going Down backing vocals and whatever Blood in the Water was supposed to be (probably a line from General or an unfinished idea).
Outside of Better, he shouldn't have bothered.....
and again, how do you know exactly what he did or didn't do???

She initially claimed not to be seeking any payment, but justice. I guess she found her price.
I'm annoyed at this conclusion. Him losing £12m isn't justice.
We can't judge her if we don't know the reasons why she did what she did, maybe it was the money, maybe she felt threatened, maybe she just didn't want to fight anymore. We can't really be sure.

I don't agree with the premise he's not a good song writer. The songs on the new album such as c est la vie and fall to earth are as good as any rock songs that have come out over the past few years.
I think what he is actually is supremely creative and creates music as easily as most people breathe. Everyone says that he is unusual for such a successful musician as he s always playing and practicing.
I think if he has a weakness it's probably not wanting to spend time refining and refining. He creates and then moves on to the next thing straight away. I think he s a bit like Bucket head in that way.
Myles gets too much criticism. He s a good singer and lyricist. He also seems to be very stable. It's totally clear why someone like Slash would value someone like that.
To be fair, GN'R fans are rarely exposed to Myles best work (Alter Bridge and his solo output). Slash and the conspirators seems more like a vacation for him sometimes. Hell he doesn't even play guitar with Slash if I'm not mistaken.
