Yes but its flexible context though. Still a lovely song.

I think biologically there are 7 ages of man so if nothing else at 51 Axl is ahead of his time. Not late for everything then!

Your Song - Elton John
Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
Lovesong - The Cure
Love Cats -The Cure
Boys Don't Cry - The Cure
I like The Cure. Can you tell? ♥
Edit. Estranged, forgot where I was for a minute. Lol
Edit2. Perfect Day - Lou Reed.
There are quite a lot when you start thinking about it. Maybe not all the greatest but that is subjective.

Veneers I would have thought. He has the money to avoid dentures.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!he should sell his own brand he could call it "The Ashba Fag"
Would you be surprised if this was a publicity scam JUST so he could start selling his own line of Ashba "safe" E-Cigs?
I actually could see that happening. Lol

You might be right. I just have trouble imagining Axl being part of the jamming session. I don't think he works on that level any more. I'm happy to be proven wrong though!
-
I sometimes think that DJ was hired specifically to take some of the heat and attention off Axl. He's still a charismatic performer but not so much the showman these days. I think he got tired of it, hence the hats and glasses, lack of stage rants etc...

I have sympathy with BBF wanting the band to work this way. Its everyones idealised vision of how good bands work but he knows that Axl hasn't worked this way since AFD and is hardly likely to start now. It must be frustrating though if he believes that jamming together is what is holding them back, not sure I agree that is the case but he clearly feels that.
And AFD still remains the greatest album he's ever done. This should tell Axl something.
Yes but that was then and I'm not convinced it would work now with the current set up. They should at lesst give it a shot though.

Not sure why this is the one thing he wanted to keep quiet. If dangerous shit is being sold as a stop smoking aid then i would have thought he could have put his twitter hashtags to good use and warned people or campaigned for better regulations. Glad he is okay though.

The current line up have gained a certain level of respect due to being stable, turning up on time etc...which would be a good thing to build on. However if current members start to leave because of creative inactivity that is going to seriously plummet. This i feel is GnR's last shot (bar a reunion) I'm not sure whether Axl cares about that or not.
-
This could be anything from a GnR double album to Ashbalingerie :-)
-
He might. Its possible he has sproglets all over the shop that we dont know about. Actually that surprise extends to all the members of old GnR. Maybe heavy drug use acts as a chemical contraceptive. Really you would expect a ton of illegitimate children all now aged 20-30. Maybe there are.

In the documentary about the making of the Estranged video, he talks quite a bit about Dylan. And even though I haven't watched it in a while, I remember he made a few comments along the lines that he didn't know what to do when he was upset and crying, and how Stephanie would take over.
In any case, I would love for him to have a child so that he can pass on his musical genes. I said the same thing about Elton and my wish came true
A child of someone musical is not guaranteed to be musical themselves. Genetics are a funny old thing!
On balance, weighing up all the evidence, Axl having children would more likely have been a disaster than not. I obviously don't know the reasons he hasn't and if he ever did would wish him well but up to this point not having any may well have been the most responsible thing he has ever done.

That isn't what i was saying. Drugs have always been an important part of creative muse. Just remarking that those who find their muse are fewer in number than those just plainly lost to addiction. It reminded me of that tragic story. Stop trying to pick a fight where there isn't one.Sad thing is though for every Slash or Keith there are 10 x the amount of people for whom drugs are an addiction minus the muse.
The creme rises to the top.
Can you name many influential rock musicians that never used drugs?
Those kids in your example just sound like typical dumbasses. Just because you like music, that doesn't make you 7 a musician. They were supposed to have a muse because they dressed like "rockers?" LOL

I was too busy trying to look like the bastard love child of Robert Smith and Shirley Manson back then. Bloody hard work it was too. I had to get up 2hrs before the school bus arrived in order to perfect my look.

Sad thing is though for every Slash or Keith there are 10 x the amount of people for whom drugs are an addiction minus the muse. I remember when i was at school there were a distinct group of rocker kids, this was about 1992, there was about 5 or 6 of them, they used to wear GnR leather Jackets, bandanas etc..they stood out a fair bit as in my part of the UK grunge and alternative was more popular along with the Manchester scene stuff. I was a bit of a goth back then.
A little while after we all left school i heard that one of those kids was found dead by his twin brother from a heroin overdose. He was 17. I always wondered if the GnR idolisation was an influence? As far as i know heroin wasn't a big drug of choice amongst teens in our area at that time, i never heard of anyone else doing it, E was far more popular. This thread just reminded me of this sad story.

I read Anthony's biography a while back, he never struck me as anything like Axl. More like Slash if anybody. He hasn't previously come across as a brawling type so maybe this was a one off.
-
That happened to Duff didn't it? I don't think he got his album back.
-
Didn't he once say something about often your friends being ex lovers?

Overnight employee at Walmart
You might be onto something there. He would have made a great overnight security guard, complete with flashlight and aggressive dog.

Ha ha, I was going to add in my last post that she reminded me of someone but I couldn't work out who.
-
She's not that good looking if you ask me...
Tut. Shallow! Maybe she has a stunning personality.

When you go to a band show to primarily see one person, then it is apparent that you don't care for the whole band so much. Why are you trolling semantics here?
His point remained the same:
Almost everybody goes to the concerts for Axl, and pretty much nobody gives a shit for the rest of the band.
In the past fans went to GNR gigs for Guns N' Roses. Not for Axl or Slash or anybody in particular.
Not strictly true, there are a fair few that go for DJ. The ones that wear his swag.

There has. He did an interview for that St Louis riot documentary that was posted on here a few days ago.
I expect though once it was settled in court he probably had non disclosure as part of the agreement. I expect all Axl's settlements have that clause.
