Slash used open C# on Beggars and Hangers-On, but if you don't count that as a dropped tuning, Slither is the first song where he used a dropped tuning. Also, Headspace and Superhuman from Contraband are in drop D.

As for Guns N' Roses songs, Chinese Democracy and Sorry are played in drop D. At least, I remember seeing a rig rundown video with Fortus, where he said they use drop D on Sorry. Better and Scraped are in drop C#. Shackler's Revenge is in drop B.

Scraped is actually Drop C (may be C standard). Shacklers (knowing Bucket) is likely B standard

Im sure Fortus may have played them in drop C and Drop B

  2. Chinese Democracy - one of the 2001 ones

Street of Dreams - Boston 2002 (for Axl actually not using only clean vocals)

Better - Budapest 2006 was great vocally, but Robin didnt play his solo. Madrid 2006 was decent vocally as well. Download 2006, was solid since Axl was pissed and not moving, which meant a solid vocal performance with great breath control, but also lacked a bit of heart on the verses.

  3. Coincidence I'm sure, for lack of tinkering with. After all, the title track was only 3:22 until they decided to add another minute of intro. Similar to Riad, with the extended intro, and TWAT when they decided to A: add another solo, and B: and decide with either a shortened verison of the solo (as shown by the leak), or the version as it appeared on the album, which added a minute and a half to the song. Same with IRS with the added 2nd solo.

Thats not to say that Axl didnt labour over other songs that we haven't heard before

Can you blame them? I heard they remortgaged their house to get the band going again and then Stapp gave up on the promo a matter of weeks after album launch and they lose their label as a result.

The Votta brothers are on this, with Ron and two new members.

Well I think the Vottas should realize that you can't buy/litigate your way into being a "rockstar". And I say this as someone who enjoyed both albums.

I mean Stapp probably saw that they were touring as a "bar band", and not actually playing clubs and dipped.

BUT i hope it goes better for them this time
