  1. You're right about Todd. He is one dimensional, but very good at what he has. He does shows in Vegas with Bruce Kulik, doing just 80s Kiss songs. I'm not a big fan of that era, but he sounds fantastic singing the Paul Stanley stuff in the videos I've seen. Either way, I do agree that Myles is a talented vocalist, but his style just gets tedious to me after a short while. I'd take a live show with Todd as a vocalist over Myles any day.
  2. Dave A was a monster during PJ'S best era. No matter what beef is there, it's a joke that he wasn't inducted, and included in the HOF ceremony. Krusen played on Ten, dropped out pretty much quicky after, and got in. Dave should be in.
  3. Monsters would be #1 for me, but even with Axl's vocal struggles, I had a blast at the four shows I attended. The setlists were fantastic, and the change in Axl's demeaner on stage made me almost as happy as he seemed to be up there.
  4. I'm always on the lookout for vintage boots if anyone has anything they want to unload.
  5. Very jealous of the Axl/DC box! I've been looking for that for a while. I have part 1 and 3 of the Belgium show that were sold separately, but can't find part 2. Great job getting the box. I think they only made 180 of them.
  6. Got mine on Friday as well. Artwork is good, and it sounds better than the streaming version for sure.
  7. No, it's just typical ineptitude from band management. 95% of merch on that site since '16 has been completely ridiculous.
  8. I bought the vinyl, but I don't remember seeing it being sold as an exclusive.
  9. Not getting an official release of Monsters would be a travesty. It's a fantastic tune.
  10. It's very good coffee. Dark Matter is awesome!
  11. I saw them for the first time on the Razors Edge tour, and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I've seen them 10 times, and it's easily the best of the 10. The AXL/DC show would be the second beat.
  12. Something like this was bound to happen when they use a guy who doesn't have the credentials to manage a local bar band to manage their huge international rock band. This certainly puts Axl in a tough spot.
  13. Since this originally was only supposed to be two shows, Slash would've been long gone of he was miserable. He left in the mid 90's, and he wouldn't have stuck around this time, either. He has it pretty good. He has free reign to do his solo stuff, movie company, etc all while performing on the biggest stages in the world. Even after the divorce, he'd have enough money to not live a miserable life doing something that he didn't want to do.
  14. I'm guessing not. 9 1/2 minutes would fit, but wouldn't sound good on one side of a 7" record.
  15. PM sent...got skunked on both, even though we were at the gates at 3:45 both days. I've never seen anything like it. Security guards and cops were walking around with them, and the main table was handing night 2 lithos to employees the night before. Evidently, they were letting VIPs buy 5 each and there were next to none left when the gates opened. Yep, I bought one in Cincinnati, and halfway through the show, our daughter had to go to the bathroom and the stand still had a stack of them.
  16. Agreed, Kiss and Motley Crue had no choice because they couldn't get asses in the seats anymore on their own. Aerosmith is more than likely doing it because they're in their mid-70's and this was going to be it. Guns may not sell every seat in a stadium with high prices, but they can fill the majority of them with acceptable prices. They don't need to throw a farewell tour out there.
  17. They've averaged between 16-18 songs a night for the 15 years.
  18. Absolutely. I don't want to sound spoiled, but I walked out wondering if something happened since that show was shorter...even though it was still longer than the majority of bands do. I saw 4 shows on this leg, and none were the same. They certainly weren't completely different like Pearl Jam does, but getting Locomotive, Street of Dreams and Madagascar actually made the first LA show feel very fresh. I've seen Guns 40 times now since the Alpine Valley shows in '91, and said I was only going to go to my local show at Wrigley this year. The setlists in the middle east/Europe changed my mind, and I'm glad they did. Fenway was insane with the monsoon rain, it was 110 degrees at Wrigley and the classic venue in LA made all four special, and even with Axl's diminished vocals, all four were fantastic shows. I'll be very sad if they're actually winding things down like some people think.
  19. I agree. I love the marathon sets. I'm not sure that the average casual fans do, but the hard core fans seem to. However, shorter sets are bound to happen, at the very least to save what's left of his voice. Guns' songs are not easy to sing. Damn near every one of them have multiple tempo and octave changes. I've seen Pearl Jam more times than I like to admit. They've been known for marathon sets most of their career, and they've cut them down considerably...some shows just barely over two hours. Supposedly Matt Cameron can't handle the long sets anymore. Jam bands can do it until they're 80 years old because they stand around all night amd certainly don't have Axl style vocals. I do personally think that it's ridiculous that Metallica only plays 16 songs a night. James doesn't sing like he used to, and can easily do more than that.
  20. Motley Crue was a nearly dead band for a while until they had to use the farewell tour title to get asses back in the seats. There is no chance that Motley even headlining one show over Gn'R would be discussed. I hope to never see Gn'R share a stage with those clowns.
