  1. They ranged from 250-500 on the last US tour two years ago.
  2. Neither are doing very well. Motley/Def Leppard start their short US tour on Saturday and there are tons of tix available for the shows. Most floor seats in El Paso were dropped to $60-70 and uppers are $30.
  3. I agree...it doesn't make sense that the price of pit tix went up $125 from the last tour two years ago.
  4. This is 100% true. I've been friends with the some of the Steel Panther guys for a while, and remember a great story Russ Parrish told. He was teaching at the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, walked into the auditorium and asked everyone if they knew how to play Eruption. They all raised their hands. He then mentioned that thousands of 15 year old boys in their parents garages are also playing Eruption. He told them to put their guitars down and learn how to write songs. Speed may boost your ego, but nobody outside of guitar nerds either care or want to listen to that. Songwriting ability and melody matter more than anything.
  5. They better start dropping prices very soon. Some of these shows have entire sections unsold.
  6. Damn, lots of empty seats in the uppers
  7. And he'll outperform every other singer that weekend as well.
  8. That's disappointing. Priest is still a solid band, but they barely fill theaters anymore. For the price of those tickets, I was hoping for a bigger act.
  9. Is this on the Red Sox website? I'm flying out there to stay with my buddy for the show and he keeps asking about tickets. I was going to wait like we did for Wrigley two years ago.
  10. Were they in the studio other times besides the one where the photo was taken before Glastonbury?
  11. And there is the problem. We all want the new songs, extra Illusion songs and songs that haven't been played in decades, but 75% of the people in the building have no idea what they are. I lost my mind when they pulled out Dead Horse and Locomotive in Oklahoma City a few years back, and I was the only one in our vicinity who did. No one knew them, but the entire arena was up for grabs when SCOM started.
  12. Crowd looks fairly full from the last stream other than the middle of the back of the floor. It's weird that that sound tent was moved up so far on the field.
  13. Sounds like they got a large crowd again. I just saw pics of Motley Crue's set at Wembley, and it was half empty. The seats weren't even set up to midfield. I can't ever remember seeing a stadium show where more than half the floor is just empty space.
  14. Why in the world are they only making 150 lithos for shows that have 60k people attending? I understand that most band's gig posters are low print runs, but 150 for stadium/park shows is ridiculously low.
  15. Not a bad vantage point and good sound for someone without a ticket.
  16. Yes it was. They also moved the opening bands start times up like an hour on the summer leg that year so they can play longer without going over curfew.
  17. They had no opening acts and started early on that leg.
  18. I had a handful of buddies and their wife's over on Saturday to watch the Cubs game from London, and then mirrored the Gn'R show onto the TV. Half of them just know the hits and never cared about much about the band. They mentioned how bad they heard he sounds and looks. We all commented on bad notes and struggles, but we all, them especially, commented on the many times he hit the notes. Reviewers have every right to report on what they saw. Some were extremely negative, and some were very positive. That's how opinion pieces work. By the end of the show, everyone in my basement were impressed and entertained, and didn't understand all the hate and negatively Axl gets at his age. The fact that they were entertained, shows that he's doing his job, and that's a good thing. The same thing happened when I started reading Twitter comments afterwards. There were a ton of people expecting a car wreck, and were shocked by how entertained they were.
  19. Do we have your permission to read the many positive reviews as well?
