When my friend and I called the ticketing office to enquire about arrival times, we were advised to be there by 3:30 pm. We were there at 3:25 pm sharp. Thus we did not experience any traffic incident on our way to the concert. However, once there, there was some confusion about the VIP lounges- Welcome to the Jungle vs Paradise City. This was eventually sorted out and we settled down well in time to enjoy the never-ending rounds of snacks and drinks. Met very friendly Gunners at the Paradise lounge- from Bahrain, Denmark, Finland, France, Sweden, The Netherlands, UK, USA, etc. My friend and I travelled from Amsterdam and Addis Ababa, respectively. We had a swell time dancing and interacting with other people Simply put, the show was phenomenal. Now, going back to our hotel was a whole different ball game. After queuing for about 20 minutes, we decided to go back to the lounge where we found some people still hanging. Left again after an hour and was lucky to find a taxi. We paid 10 times more than the normal fare, but we did not let this dampen our spirit. We sang to GNR tunes throughout the ride back to our hotel. That said, the organizers have a thing or two to learn from this experience. However, they also deserve kudos for all the other things (and important ones at that) they got right!

I write the vocals last, because I wanted to invent the music first and push the music to the level that I had to compete against it. Axl Rose
