The entire band is very supportive of one another.

Clothes has been part of GNR's footprint since the beginning.
Who in TB overlooks...? Me. Hello. *hold music*

We live in a scary world nowadays, things are being done and said that changes the course of one's life in a moment's time.

Don' take anything to heart that you read here. There is always something for us mere mortals here to disagree with and argue about. The band are active and despite who is there or isn't there we should at least be grateful that DJ Ashba has gone. It's not taking it to heart, it's just such a downer to read such hatred directed at people I know, love and respect; based on misinformation. It isn't right and as you say, we are a tight community that loves the band, then we should remain strong together and fix issues with creativity and productivity versus name calling and tossing shit everywhere. shit's not cool! haha

This is brilliant. We either behave and hopefully Fernando will stay here for a while and give us some valuable answers, or some of us insult him severely like in 2008 and Axl will come instead

1 minute ago, D.. said:Hi Fernando, if you're here for a little Q/A session, my question is very simple: I missed the Paris show last year, but I'm attending the one next month. Would it please be possible to sell the exact same exclusive T-Shirt that was on sale last year for this show? I would buy a few just to wear for the upcoming 10 years (no joke). I really dig this design. Thanks in advance for your answer ; )
Also, if you released blu-rays with UYI shows with the same quality as the one which recently surfaced, I'd buy them in an instant. It can't be too hard to make this happen, right?
I could possibly have one made for you. Our new tour line is pretty fucking sick. Sorry I get super psyched about our clothing lines, fun fact; did you know I overlook the entire design team and the direction on anything and everything we do?

Just now, Jeez said:@Fernando, is the story about Izzy joining rehearsals/soundcheck at some point during NITL true or false?
I am not going to comment on my friend Izzy, I love and adore him. So I would just ignore questions pertaining to him, ok?

I said this yesterday and I want to man up and apologize for it. It was a class-less comment and I give @Fernando all the credit in the world for stopping in today and interacting with us a bit. I was serious about the appreciation of your courtesy in St Louis and you gained a lot of respect from me today as well. Sorry for a couple things I said yesterday in the heat of the moment.
Thanks man, it is in my nature to help where and when I can.

Just now, SoulMonster said:@Fernando I have a question: Has the band/management discussed releasing a similar box/package of previously unreleased music for the UYIs or CD as you are now doing for AFD?
No.
The guys feel really happy with how the box was put together and everything that is included within it, will that open other opportunities for the guys to release more stuff? I don't know, but it's always a possibility.

Are you able to give us any indication if there's new music from Guns on the horizon? Near or distant future? Even a hint? We're love to know.
That's the question, eh! We just released a brand new single!
Yes, I am sure there will be.

Hmmm, is that how you raise concerns with people you respect? Is that how you raise concerns with you colleagues at Live Nation? Is that how you raise concerns with Axl? I doubt it.
You've punched-down here, dude.
But by all means clarify what you meant for "the rest" whom you say didn't understand your tweet?
I don't have to raise any concerns with Live Nation or any colleagues because we have an understanding of being productive and constructive. Do you fail to see any truth behind what I said?
How I speak with Axl or the rest of the guys is obviously different than me typing on a social media outlet.
I do apologize for the number of fans within all communities that failed to understand my tweet and automatically assumed being personally attacked.
I feel if we keep talking about this it'll end up on a never cycle of my thoughts versus your thoughts and we would both go mad.

Your material continues to be stale my man.
I tried to log in many times yesterday and it was an issue that Downs was trying to assist me with, but it got too late. Which then created another whirlwind of assumptions.
Some of the persons here understood my tweet, the rest didn't and it kind of sucks. I did not tweet to start a war, but to solely raise concern.
Coming to a forum or answering questions etc, just doesn't work because me typing in a forum becomes news and shines a different light on the band and sets too many ways for the band to "fail" in the eyes of the unknown persons in the world that doesn't truly understand our little world. I respect the die hard fan(s), they are the first to arrive and last to leave. I sympathize and help at every turn to every fan, the dedicated 24/7 fan to the fan that came to see GNR for the first time.
(let's see how many people take me saying "I respect..." as ammunition to paint me out to be a person of narcissistic tendencies.)
I still miss that one guy that got banned.

For those who want to have a Civil War type discussion about this.
http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?/topic/212282-dear-fermanager-a-retrospective/
I'll say this about Fernando's sudden departure: Noted. lol. Sad.
A man can't take his soon to be mother of his first child to a vacation without you guys getting back on the train of hatred?
lol. Noted. Sad. Or was it the other way around?
(magisme) you need to chill man, stop reading too much into what I write. It's usually pretty self explanatory. Like that whole JC discussion, can't believe someone of your caliber can't decipher something so straightforward.

Hey Fernando,
I actually have a question about your position as manager of a major 'legacy' music act. How often do you get offers to play private events such as the wedding in France? Do you decide which events are the right fit for GNR or is the money the only thing that matters? Does the entire crew make the trip for a private event?
To be clear I am not asking these questions to call anyone a sellout, I could care less. You are in a very unique position and you are the only manager I could potentially get an answer from haha. I have so many questions your actual 'management' of the band than the band itself.
We get offers to play private events, such as Compaq, HP, Google, etc.. However, it all really depends on the look. How many people, where it is, and what it is for. We rarely entertain such offers, as they are usually not good timing. Essential crew only. If it's the entire band, usually 2 techs for the band members, a few sound guys.
The wedding we played in France was for a friend and all lined up nicely, however I felt bad for the crew that day, as we had just finished a show in spain and we were on our way to Mallorca when we had to make a last minute decision to play the wedding.
Thanks for answering my questions, great insight. I'll throw some more your way but I understand if you don't have time to get to them:
- Who actually names the tours? For example, who came up with the name 'Up Close and Personal' for the club tour? Do you guys use a marketing agency or is it always done internally?
- I have always been curious to know how prices for tickets are decided on. I am actually most curious to know how the ticket prices for the 2002 tour were decided on. There were so many factors to consider for the pricing of that tour since the band hadn't toured since 1993, it had many different faces on stage and there was no new album released. Was there/is there a lot of debate about pricing?
1. That specific name was made up by myself and our agent; along with other options. Which Axl picked that one of the list. However, it's usually Axl that comes up with the names. Del did name one of the tours.
2. Pricing usually gets figured out by promoters / agents based on location, demographic and research. There is a lot of ticket scaling nowadays.
This is somehow sadder than the threads where people would post 10,000 questions to the band that they never even answered.
And yet you keep taking the time to read and participate.
I haven't checked this thread in 2 days. I missed nothing.
Is that how long it takes you to come up with the same lame posts?
What happened to the 2010 South American tour documentary?
Nothing, we never planned in making one.
I brought Rage (Dale) to South America to record and get footage from the band/tour. For us to use somewhere, sometime down the line. (Keep in mind, the line is pretty long) <-- not a hug

Fernando, may i suggest that some day you can pull the strings to release the Holy Grail ( 2001 HOB pro shoot video )?.
I will look for it. Soooo long ago, surely it's here somewhere. Maybe one of you guys can come by and organize our vaults.

(Fernando), can you please ask Axl not to put that Jackie Chan shit on there? That clip sucks.
I love Jackie Chan, but surely my Jackie Chan is far better than your JC.

Just another question, which I hope you can answer, Fernando. Because I hope it is not too personal if you don't go into detail... Is Axl doing well?
Yep, he's good.

I'm currently very optimistic
Reading between the lines a little I get the feeling that the idea is to actually announce a big bunch of shit when it's all actually properly finalised. *Big surprise!* Single on this date, album on this date, tour starts this date. If there happened to be anything as conventional as videos, interviews, band photos and tv promo performances that would be delightful.
That would be so cool.
