I'm curious if "The General" has any movie samples since Steve Foreman (aka Extrakd) is credited. Brain spoke about him and the song "Seven" having Ben-Hur samples in an interview.

I agree. Also for the leak part, that's because no hoarder has it, if they did... then it would have leaked years ago.

It's still surreal we're getting it soon. I'm hyped for it. Not expecting "Estranged II" but hope it's a good track at least.

I heard from a reliable source that juke boxes inside select few Chinese takeout places will have "The General" available for streaming, but only if you order General Tso's chicken combo meal with a drink.

I want to add something to this. What if the live intro from 2006 was actually "Thyme" or "Seven"? Maybe in Axl's quote he could be referring to him teasing "The General" on the piano or a band jam at the time? For example: "Prostitute" and "As It Began" were teased on the piano in 2002. It's fun to speculate.

I agree too much production. But I doubt anyone is actually hoarding demo mixes of "The General". If someone DID have the demo of "The General" wouldn't it already have leaked by now? Like how hard can it be to leak it...

The big question is... do those even have vocals? Would be cool to hear what "Seven" sounds like even if it's just an instrumental.

It's more possible for them to re-released/remastered Chinese Democracy with an alternate artwork (perhaps even having four bonus CD tracks featuring Slash and Duff). Or an EP of unheard Chinese Democracy stuff with Slash and Duff than actual new material.
