  1. I worded the way I did because he was saying that my post was subjective. His post is subjective as well. How come you didn't say anything to him? I don't appreciate words being put into my mouth. You probably took his side because you didn't like what I said.
  2. The only reason why I compared it was because all three were released right around the same time.
  3. I NEVER said that my opinion is gospel. In fact you were the one stating that it's subjective. That's why I said what I said in my reply. No need to lash out. Chill out. Additionally, I forgot it was released officially on MySpace. I have other things on my mind. Apologies for that part. I NEVER said my opinion was fact. Wow!
  4. Did he REALLY come out on top, though? I mean it's kinda obvious that the entire episode did a number on him. Nu-GNR wasn't successful. Ultimately, he got Slash and Duff back in GNR.
  5. It's your fandom talking. It's not being realistic. Both albums were better. If you look at the three albums lead off singles , "Rock N Roll Train" and "The Day That Never Comes" were more successful than CD. I like CD a lot. Additionally, there were no Slash and Duff on the album, which hurt sales of the album. As an album CD was good, but not great. It was missing elements that made GNR great. Casual fans saw this. Additionally, it was leaked onto MySpace, which hurt the sales of the album more. As I previously stated, the worst business decision that Axl made at the time was keeping the GNR name. Even if he had promoted the album, I don't think it would have mattered as much as some fans think. Casuals expected Slash and to a lesser extent Duff on a GNR album. that wasn't what they got.
  6. Not a chance that it would have sold 10 million copies. Black Ice and Death Magnetic were better albums than CD ( this is coming from me who has been a diehard GNR fan since 87). Those albums didn't sell 10 million. I thought Better or Chinese Democracy would be the two best songs as a first single. There Was a Time was too long for radio at that time.
  7. There is personal responsibility. If you KNOW you can't afford something, why go out and buy it? My employer published an article on how Americans making $150,000 are living paycheck to paycheck. When I read that article, I was thinking that some people need to cut down on their expenses if they are making that much money. My father had two jobs. He was a machinist and janitor. He was the sole breadwinner of a family of four. Additionally, he had to deal with a child that was born with a disability (me). Even with two jobs, my brother and I figured out that we were living close to the poverty line. Yet, he was able to save money because he made sacrifices. He also put my brother and I through college if there were costs that were not covered by scholarships. I don't feel badly for this guy, especially since he made a joke about people with disabilities in a previous thread and now whining about $15.
  8. Whose fault is that? If you can't afford $15 for a record, why are you even buying it to begin with? If you have other responsibilities or expenses shouldn't you take care of that first before anything else? I broke my foot in mid August. I'm currently on disability leave from work. I'm not getting a full paycheck. My childhood friend wants to go see Iron Maiden for the second time. I told him no for now since we saw them last year and I'm not getting a full paycheck at the moment. I have expenses to pay. That's my priority first and foremost until I'm able to go back to work. If you can't afford $15 then you shouldn't be buying something that you may not need. Additionally, you should know your priorities. GNR nor any other bands can do that for you. Neither can a fan message board.
  9. It wasn't Axl that said it. It was Seb Bach. He said that Axl told him that. Since this coming from Bach, I would take it with a grain of salt.
  10. The is an odd question. First off I don't feel foolish for buying the Use Your Illusion box set, merchandise, nor spending money on concert tickets. Concert tickets for GNR are on average prices compare to other shows. If I want to enjoy something, it's legal, and no one is getting hurt then why should I deprive myself of that enjoyment if I can afford it? Second, you need to accept responsibility for yourself. I don't recall GNR ever saying that it's exclusive. Why would it not be on streaming sites like Spotify? Most people listen to music nowadays through streaming. You kinda have to figure that out yourself that GNR would put The General on streaming sites if they didn't outright say that it was exclusive. Even if they did, that's your choice. No one forced you to buy the vinyl. You chose to spend the money. You can't fault GNR for that.
  11. I was at that show as well. I did have to step away for a bit since it was so loud. That was a great show though!
  12. 0%. This is AC/DC's final tour. It would be a big disservice to Brian if Axl got involved.
  13. I agree with @D4NNY! For whatever reason, you are taking this very personal. You came at me and others quite aggressively. I think it's obvious that this is a personal issue for you. I agree with @D4NNY regarding the suggestion of taking a step back from this topic for a time being.
  14. I was excited to hear Axl but wished that Slash and Duff were on it. To this day, I still think this should have been released as an Axl Rose solo project with the GNR name going into hiatus. I will always think that this was the worst business decision that Axl made. TWAT, CD, Better, IRS, Catcher, Sorry, Madagascar, Street of Dreams and Prostitute are good, but not great songs. I was most disappointed with This I Love. It just has too much of an Andrew Lloyd Weber feel to it. Scraped and Riad are on par with My World as the worst GNR songs. Shackler's Revenge isn't my cup of tea. If the World is kinda blah. I mostly listen to TWAT, CD, Better, Madagascar, and Prostitute.
  15. You are missing the point as to what I'm saying. A lot of times, women don't understand the viewpoint from men and vice versa. Additionally, guys have to worry about being drugged and robbed. Look at what Cardi B did to men that she dated. Lots of women date for meals and money. I know of two women who warned me about being taken advantage of. Both women would use guys for dinner when they didn't want to cook. Additionally, in the corporate world, you have to watch what you say. Even if you mean no harm, a woman can misconstrued something and go to HR. When that happens, a guy's reputation is ruined. I had a minor situation that came up. It was a miscommunication. Rather than coming to me for clarification, the woman went straight to HR. I got into minor trouble for it. I am fortunate that since I have a good reputation and promote disability awareness that I didn't get into further trouble. The woman should have came to me rather than go directly to HR. It would have been better and created a better working environment. Having a physical disability, I heard crap and have been discriminated by both genders. I think I got a realistic viewpoint on both genders.
  16. NYC Mayor Eric Adams has a lawsuit against him as well related to the NY State law. https://www.yahoo.com/news/york-city-mayor-eric-adams-152759160.html The incident happened in 1993.
  17. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/former-espn-analyst-rhobh-husband-221925334.html This is related to the expiring NY State law. The alleged incident happened in 1994.
  18. It's the same thing though about women. Women don't get how tough it is to be a guy. A lot of women don't get how guys have to be thick skinned for a rejection or the entire thing about paying for a first date. A female friend and I got into a conversation about dates and who pays. When I stated my experience, she said that she can understand it better. Additionally, I have a physical disability. I have been discriminated against and had stereotypes hurled at me by both genders. Unless you have the personal experience of being discriminated against as a person with a disability, you won't have that same level of understanding.
  19. https://www.yahoo.com/news/johnson-learns-job-drawing-ire-184526745.html I'm reading this right now. There are plenty of comments from liberals and conservatives in all the articles. Additionally, if you are using the word boomer then you are being a hypocrite. I don't want to derail this thread. I'm just going to say have a good night!
  20. I wouldn't say that Yahoo is right wing. They've had plenty of articles that are liberal and comments from liberals. Also, I'm seeing plenty of comments on Facebook with articles about this. Again, majority is favoring Axl and questioning why this has been brought up after 34 years.
  21. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/axl-rose-accused-1989-sexual-160950543.html In the comments section, the majority of comments are in Axl's corner.
  22. By her own admission she said that she was ok with it and they had more sex. Do you think that a woman would have sex with him again after being raped? When I was a teenager, I was a close friend with a woman. She was 17 and I was 15. She was dating a guy who was slightly older. They had sex. She accused him of rape. Being that she came from a strict Catholic family regarding sex, she was embarrassed about having sex. She was and still is bipolar. It came out that she lied about being raped and that the sex was consensual. She didn't face any consequences since her father had connections. I knew she had feelings for me, but I was concerned that she would have pulled something like this on me.
  23. I don't know. The issue that a lot of people will have is why wait 34 years to file a lawsuit. Additionally, she said that she was ok with from what you posted. I think that GNR needs to issue a statement on this. The book excerpt will be posted by someone.
  24. 34 years later to come forward???? It seems to be a cash grab.
