If this is the only way we’ll get an albums worth of songs, then fine. I’d rather have that than nothing, even if it’s painful. But we really should’ve just had a full album of these songs 20 years ago.

I wonder how many solo and external band albums came from Axl refusing to work on new music.

The wailing guitars in the demo feel the most “Chinese Democracy” to me in the original. After some time I do prefer the NITL version overall, but I’ll always just wish Perhaps would’ve just released with a CD lineup.

Seems to be the theme with a lot of singers in this spot. Similiar words have been said about Axl with his mid range. I wonder if it’s just an ego thing or just a lack of wanting to relearn something you’ve done for decades.

That performance was almost as bad as Jon Bon Jovi. Which says a lot. Look, it’s cool when a legendary band comes back, but it doesn’t give them (or specifically, the singer) a pass to just do a bad performance. Brian had a brilliant career but it’s more than evident it’s time to hang it up.

Sorry, but Brian sounds fucking horrible. Worse than Axl. AC/DC needs to retire immediately.

Axl sounded great on I Feel Good. Shame that never came back, think it was cooler than the AC/DC covers.

Probably just conspiracy from me but I’ve always thought it’s sounded so good and nuanced that at some point they’ve tried recording a studio cover. It’s possible it’s just gotten fine tuned over the past few years but either way it’s one of the best pieces of musicianship from this band in years.

Glad I drove all the way to San Diego thinking GNR wasn’t gonna stop in LA this tour. Really awesome. Tempted to double dip but the tickets for these shows are probably going to be insanely expensive.

Street of Dreams has come a long way. Slash kind of blows ass still, but Axl sounds really good on it, dare I say close to the studio version at points. Fortus does fantastic too, might be the real star of the show on that song.

This is more depressing than me than the Spotify X Files. At least those have been proven to mean something on occasion. Right now we’re discussing something some child on the internet threw up and is laughing at this entire forum for.

Yeah, I wish it was real more than the next guy. But I just can't look at that artwork and take it seriously. If you zoom in to the limbs, it's made by AI. At a minimum, we got two "new" songs this year so the lack of an Atlas EP isn't some major loss. Just annoying people are deciding to fuck with us.

Anything with that artwork should be disregarded and considered fake. It’s an AI generated painting. I wish this was all real but it’s just rumors and people playing pranks on us.

I was there. Monster setlist. Just an absolutely wild one. 33 songs is insane. I feel very lucky. I heard for the first time: PTU, Bad Obsession, DoTF (my favorite Spaghetti cover), Reckless Life, Perhaps, Hard Skool, SOD, Absurd, and Anything Goes. 10 songs I’ve never heard before from all GNR albums is wild. Had a great time. Me and my friend agreed Axl sucked on Jungle, SCOM, YCBM, but when you’re there and having fun it’s no problem. It’s just fun to be there and experience it. Out of three shows I’ve seen it’s by far my favorite. For all the jokes I make about this band I’ll never miss the opportunity to see them given I can afford it.

That’s sad, I got my hopes up that it was a new album or something lol. Guess it’s not very good art so I’m glad it’s not.

My favorite Slash solos are the ones on the epics/ballads. November Rain, Estranged, Coma, etc. That’s why his Perhaps solo and stuff like TIL/Catcher solos have been so depressing to me, since it should be magical.

Anyone know the optimal timing to get tickets on the cheap? I want to go to the San Diego show. I presume it’s not gonna sell out. I don’t know how long I should wait before buying them, any advice welcome.

Jon’s been doing that with the high note in Living on a Prayer since 2013. Granted, with how dogshit he is live, he really should lip sync the whole show.
