One of the coolest things I’ve seen live was Lemmy front the MC5 at the 2005 Download Festival.

I’m bummed. I was hoping to see the revived MC5. He’s a Detroit legend
Hope his album gets finished
There was a brief interview with Wayne in January’s Mojo magazine and it read like the album is already done and was slated for spring release, hopefully that still happens. -
Love the MC5 and met Brother Wayne a few times, really sad news, especially with a new album in the can and tour dates planned. RIP.

Also this. The Stones playing the blues is my ultimate kryptonite. I was ridiculously happy with Blue And Lonesome as an album. I rate it lower as this because it's a cover album. But the Stones playing blues gives me so much joy. I'll never get bored of it. And doing it to end an album of this caliber was a great move.
It almost feels full circle. If they play Rollin Stone live on this tour I’ll wet myself just like a girl in 1962.
Blue & Lonesome was killer and a nice take on some of those classics. It would be great if we got another album from them like it. They could knock one out in their sleep.

I really like half of it, but I could do without the rest.
✔️Angry
✔️Get Close
✔️Depending On You
❌Bite My Head Off
✔️Whole Wide World
✔️Dreamy Skies
❌Mess It Up
❌Live by the Sword
❌Driving Me Too Hard
❌Tell Me Straight
✔️Sweet Sounds of Heaven
❌Rolling Stone BluesI pretty much just listen to those 6 songs now.
And I strongly disagree with all this talk about how it's the best album in decades or since Some Girls or Tattoo You. Bridges to Babylon and A Bigger Bang are excellent albums. I would put Hackney Diamonds about level with Steel Wheels and Voodoo Lounge, as in fine albums overall with some highlights.
I really don’t know if it matters but I only bought a copy on vinyl and the way the album flows makes me not dislike any of the songs. I like some better than others but none piss me off to the point where I’m skipping the needle. Even though I liked a lot of the stuff off Steel Wheels, Bridges, A Bigger Bang I did skip tracks on those albums and found some too long (B2B) So for me this is the “best” Stones album since Some Girls, that’s the last Stones album I can listen to and not skip tracks.
No love for Muddys Rollin Stone cover?!?

Slash gets my vote easily, I prefer him over Randy anytime. I'm just not a big fan of Randy's playing. He gets too much love IMO.
And I'm not familiar with Zakk's work besides Ozzy's "No More Tears".
Im in no way a big Ozzy solo/Randy fan but I think he gets the respect he deserves rather than way too much love. The guy was pretty unique for his day and he had chops. There’s guys out there like Stevie Ray Vaughan & Ry Cooder out there that I don’t like but I respect what they do and done. It’s not my thing but I can see it’s someone very talented. -
(I mean no disrespect to the OP)
You can’t have a poll like this in any way meaningful. 3 very different guitarists with obviously different levels of proficiency. Slash is an emotive player and different to the other two. A different question to ask if you want to compare those 3 is who wrote the more memorable Riffs, Solos & Songs. Musicality in a guitar player will always be far more interesting to me than the speed and tricks they employ. Randy Rhoads straddled both worlds, Slash only one & Zakk Wylde seems to be only in one world also.
Comparing guitar players is like comparing different types of alcohol. Winter I want Guinness & Whiskey, Summer I want Lager & weed. I’m glad they’re all there.

Dave A was a monster during PJ'S best era. No matter what beef is there, it's a joke that he wasn't inducted, and included in the HOF ceremony. Krusen played on Ten, dropped out pretty much quicky after, and got in. Dave should be in.
Their best drummer for me, and they’ve had a few good ones. -

Jesus fucking christ, how many times?! He's had vocal coaching! He continues to have vocal coaching! It is precisely why he sings live the way he does! He's acknowledged this.
And slim down?! Do you want him to be anorexic?! He's perfectly in shape as it is.
People need to remember he's a 61-year-old man who drinks and smokes, he's not a 25 y/o athlete.
Hey!!
Leave MrJesus out of it.- 1

There was a Malcom shaped hole in the sound last time I saw them. People rattle on about Angus and he deserves the plaudits but Malcom drove that band with his right hand and it doesn’t sound the same without him and drum wise Chris Slade is no Phil Rudd. That Malcom/Phil engine just isn’t replaceable. Black Ice was the last great tour. I saw 3 shows on that tour and they were the best ACDC gigs I’ve seen.

It’s a killer album.
Its a little like the classic albums were pulled through a Britpop type of sound filter. It’s got energy and the songs flow nicely together. What I wasn’t expecting were songs like Dreamy Skies which could have been on Beggars, Let It Bleed or Sticky Fingers. Or a song like Sweet Sounds of Heaven that could have been on the last side of Exile. For them to create material of this Quality sounding this urgent and fresh at their age is an amazing feat. I didn’t expect this album to be a classic Stones album right up there with the 60s & 70s albums. Kudos to Jagger for that in large part.
Im really looking forward to hearing some of these tunes live.

There’s way too many to list.
But I saw pretty much everyone I ever wanted to see that it was possible to see. From 1950s guys like Chuck Berry & Bo Diddley onwards. For me the 90s were the golden era of gig going. -
