The solo reminds me of Slash's solo on The Last Fight for some reason.
Last fight was one of the most boring VR songs and solos and it’s far better than this imo

On par with “If the World” not great. So many classic Chinese Democracy songs that should’ve been released to Radio in 2008 and as singles with music videos.
fast forward to 2023: we get b-sides like Absurd, Hard Skool & Perhaps released . And re-worked by the big 3!😂
so disappointing

Axl's vocals sound like the dude from Spacehog.
Not a fan of the whiny vocals

If the quick intro earlier was recently recorded, wouldn't it be Axl's first media appearance in a long time?
Nah it’s probably the one from 38yrs ago

I think that was just the quality of the song. Wish You Were Here and Soul To Squeeze sounded crystal clear. I just think this song doesn't have that same quality
Exactly

Sounded good, but nothing that much different than the demo.
Also, not sure if it was the stream, but did it sound like it was under water? The demo seems more in your face/up front.
Thought the same. Hopefully just the stream. Either way, pretty much what I expected. Underwhelming from GN’R and CD era. Like Hard Skool

Like with Hard Skool. I’ll probably listen to this twice and never again

I thought 100% it was going to be perhaps. My heart kinda sank that my first time seeing Perhaps played live would be from Craig's stream lmao
LOL
I Was at the Baltimore show when they played hard school the first time. Thought I was getting lucky again with Perhaps!

Thought there was a 11:00 curfew? When did the show start? Before 8?
-
Thought they were going into Perhaps and it was AC/DC😢

That's great news. Looking forward for some unexpected collabs. I don't know if Axl would be on it, as it would drag way too much attention to the lack of GNR new music.
But I wouldn't take the "more blues-oriented" comment as meaning it would be all traditional blues. Maybe it's a good opportunity for Slash to show his more mellow ideas, with less gain on his guitar, but still a blues-rock album.
I hope so. I want a Snakepit sounding blues rock record with guests vocalists and a Izzy appearance too

I’m gonna separate the 2…
Frank
Duff

Finally! Now we’re talking. Long time coming as a Snakepit and Slash Self Title fan

It makes no sense. Give Fortus the CD solos. It won’t take away the fact that Slash is still the gnr guitar legend on stage. You gotta think Slash wouldn’t make a big deal of it being as he has so little interest in the solos

While his solo on NR wasn't good at all, Richard really ruins the Nightrain vibe with that god awful solo he plays. I've seen Izzy, Gilby and Sidoris all do much better by keeping it simple.
Richard has no tone at all.
Very true

Yep....all about how slash cheated on Meegan with Roxana. Nothing shocking about that though. Why are people so offended by rock stars cheating?
Slash cheated on Meegan too. You sure?

They’re both awful imo

I think setlist complaints is a bit of a double edged sword. On one hand it'd be great if they made a massive overhaul. But if they did the shows would have no new surprises going forward; they only have a tiny catalogue to choose from and aren't really releasing new music. So I think adding "new" old songs in dribs and drabs like they have been doing makes most sense. It allows them to continue milking the back catalogue much longer while also keeping us diehards somewhat happy and hopeful.
Finally someone gets it. If they came out and emptied their entire catalog they might as well retire cos they wouldn’t be able to keep booking these tours.

The General better be amazing and erase the previous 3 from my memory
I agree on all accounts and I would throw in Shackler’s Revenge as another single
