In my perfect world, Axl Rose would have promoted the album, releasing TWAT as first single with epic UYI like music video, followed by Better, Street of Dreams, Catch in the Rye, and Prostitute. Music videos for all. And then CD II come out 2 to 3 years later with epic the General as first single, Perhaps, Atlass Shrugged, and who knows what else. What happened with Axl and GNR is absolute worst case scenario, ugh. I hate how Axl gave up and let himself go. I hate the reunion. I hate TB.

Last fight was one of the most boring VR songs and solos and it’s far better than this imo

On par with “If the World” not great. So many classic Chinese Democracy songs that should’ve been released to Radio in 2008 and as singles with music videos.

I Was at the Baltimore show when they played hard school the first time. Thought I was getting lucky again with Perhaps!

But I wouldn't take the "more blues-oriented" comment as meaning it would be all traditional blues. Maybe it's a good opportunity for Slash to show his more mellow ideas, with less gain on his guitar, but still a blues-rock album.

It makes no sense. Give Fortus the CD solos. It won’t take away the fact that Slash is still the gnr guitar legend on stage. You gotta think Slash wouldn’t make a big deal of it being as he has so little interest in the solos

I think setlist complaints is a bit of a double edged sword. On one hand it'd be great if they made a massive overhaul. But if they did the shows would have no new surprises going forward; they only have a tiny catalogue to choose from and aren't really releasing new music. So I think adding "new" old songs in dribs and drabs like they have been doing makes most sense. It allows them to continue milking the back catalogue much longer while also keeping us diehards somewhat happy and hopeful. 

Finally someone gets it. If they came out and emptied their entire catalog they might as well retire cos they wouldn’t be able to keep booking these tours.
