First off that isn't true.. Second, maybe it's time you stop being so fucking butt hurt all the time over people's opinions.. I am a longtime fan of Slash and love just about everything he has done until the last few years. I am entitled to an opinion just as much as anyone else.
Also, I pretty much have stopped following SMKC.. Doesn't mean I can't check out a new song hoping that I like it.
Yea that post was a joke. I bet this guy was in diapers when I was following Slash’s every project from Snakepit, Blues ball, Camp Freddy, Rock Recovery, the project, VR, Elan, By the sword to SMKC. I think I’m entitled to the opinion that Slash’s work has progressively gotten worse and more rushed the past 5yrs

Not impressed . Yet another song I will put away forever after a handful of listens. Didn’t think they’d possibly put out something worse than LTD but with these 2 songs they managed to. Hope the rest of the songs are salvageable. Even LTD had some moments. They seem to be getting worse and even more generic with every release

Nice Job releasing this in the wake of the Michigan school shooting

I'm curious to hear these songs...
Fill My World is just bad though. Solo doesn't really go anywhere and the Ashba-inspired SCOM riff is annoying.
Interesting. I’m a Sixx Am fan but never heard Ashba play that riff before. His riffs are usually Melodic but frantic
-
Scraped is by far the worst gnr song ever recorded
-
No way! Stick to your guns is one of my favorite Crue Songs! Unless Nikki is deflecting here. Deflecting attention away from the fact he stole slash and duff’s riff that became the song Dr. Feelgood as per Doug Goldstein.
Edit: Steven Adler disagrees with Doug so who knows

You mean Axl’s voice in 2002 was shocking right? From 06-10 he was very much the Axl of old

Really or joking?
Joking but I think they should be casted for a new saved by the bell with hardskool as the opening theme. You know since they’re going FULL CRINGE MODE

My favorite live performance of Perfect Crime is the Noblesville, Indiana concert in 91.
That is my favorite gnr performance ever actually.
no way he would pull it off today. Besides frank would probably screw it up anyway

Lmao my local rock station just commented on this debacle ... "Wasn't it just a year ago Duff's wife was saying she heard all these new songs and how amazing they were? And now Slash is saying they haven't even started writing the album."
lol the 4 songs we know are complete. Absurd&HS being 2 of them hahaha

I get fans not liking "Absurd," but "Hardskool" is pretty great, on par with a lot of the UYI rockers, i.e., "Perfect Crime."
Maybe if Izzy was involved I’d agree. My personal opinion is quite boring

I’ll take a reworked album at this point because it seems that’s all we have to reasonably maybe expect. With that said, this is all depressing to me. They got back together 5 years ago when Axl theoretically still had some lead left in the pencil. He’s months away from 60 and they haven’t even tried writing or recording new music. One of the greatest rock bands ever essentially wasted 20 years of their prime..then finally kinda got back together and wasted 5+ years of that regarding new tunes. At this point not only is it unlikely to change but it’s probably too late anyways for anything worthwhile. Axl can barely pull off half the live set let alone create cool new shit assuming he even had the desire to try. Like I mentioned earlier…F’ing depressing.
That’s the issue. Even if he didn’t have writers block and started hammering out lyrics to “a lot” of these instrumentals. How in the world would he be able to perform these songs live? Look at HardSkool.
I’m giving up hope of a new album ever from this band. I think we will continue to see 1-2 songs per tour until they retire. At best an EP for the next tour.
Motley has done this for years with the exception of the Saints album. Difference is they put out an album in their early 40s not 60s.Sad Sad reality for GNR

This i Love was suppose to be part 4 after estranged or on that level musically. We know how that worked out. A Trilogy is 3 songs anyway not 5

CDII probably will look like
1.) Absurd
2.) The General
3.) OMG
4.) Soul Monster
5.) Hard Skool
6.) Perhaps
7.) Atlas Shrugged
Throw a few covers in there a Duff song, maybe an unknown CD era song from 2006 or two and we have a great album.Hey I’ll take that if you guarantee me OMG makes the cut lol

He's not really being vague there though - he's saying, pretty plainly, that they haven't written anything together.
I wonder if this interview becomes problematic if it gets back to Axl. I was shocked how Slash so easily admitted this instead of giving the usual programmed gnr response. Yea we’ve been working on a bunch of stuff and just trying to figure out how to release in these times of 2021

So it’s an easy decision on Slash’s part when it comes to gnr. He’ll play on Axl’s stuff no problem! They’ll continue to tour and cash in. No worries cos he has SMKC as his creative less lucrative outlet
-
Disagree Axl would be interested in working on Slash’s stuff. Slash is just smart enough not to hand them over to Axl. He likes having his songs heard in months time. Not every 20 or so years

-
He’s older
-
Yea seriously. Every time Hardskool starts I’m expecting the Saved by the Bell theme. Not what I expect to hear when listening to gnr

This song will definitely get more radio play than Hardskool. It’s more modern and truly classic Slash at the end and that’s what the casuals will gravitate towards.

-
They suck at picking singles. Usually always go with the most radio generic cut. Rest of album will hopefully be better

Gets good towards the end. Video is out now
Did we back the wrong horse in our support/belief of Axl over Slash?
