Which version are you thinking of? Sail Away... was never too raspy to my recollection, but he'd follow it with a very raspy rendition of 'Bad Time'.
(Also I've always thought The Game was a good album overall, the original version of SASS is good but I was introduced to it by Axl's version so I'll always have a soft spot for it.)
Maybe the fact that his rasp mushed his words together led me to believe it was just more Sail Away!
I did like the actual Sail Away part before he went all out screaming, though. If it's Bad Time that I dislike, I'll never know! Thanks for correcting me, though.

I love the original "Sail Away Sweet Sister", but I don't really enjoy Axl's rendition... i love his rasp, but he used so much of it that I couldn't make out a word! I found it grating to the ears... besides, the original was great because of the instrumentation behind it, and Brian May's softer vocal style.

I loved the voice he did at the beginning of Jungle when he may or may not have said "you know where you are?!" It actually startled me and I immediately thought that it couldn't be Axl. It was great!
Also, the Better intro comes from a riff that is played under one of the solos. It's just turned into an intro.

Hey, everybody, I made an amateur cover of LALD using lots of synths and some guitar, trying to make it more faithful to the original, as opposed to the Guns version. I hope you enjoy!
My channel also has a Shadow of Your Love cover (here!) and a cover of the most beloved song on this forum, the Seeker! (Here)
Now, finally, I hope you enjoy! Thank you!

GILBY IS COOL but he is not good enough to lick izzy's boots. some people are irreplaceable. axl, izzy, slash and steven happen to be unique and irreplaceable musicians
Of course Izzy was a key component of Guns, I agree, I just like hearing all the guitars during shows, haha

every show pre illusion
in 1991: rio (glorious on both nights), alpine valley (one song)
How about Gilby in '92 and '93? I love both!

This is more or less on topic.. apologies if ir isn't, but what are some shows where you CAN hear Izzy clearly? UYI Tour or otherwise.

Yo man I love all the Illusions, some less than others... I think Get in the Ring is a great song to rock out to even if it's not of the same caliber as AFD! Same with Back Off Bitch! So Fine just doesn't sound that Guns-y to me so I don't listen to it on it's own very much, but that's just what I think.
Bad Apples is really good too, it's just sometimes too funky at the beginming for me to get into it, but once I do, I love it!

I don't know about you guys, but for me, the sound in the stadium was super reverb-y and it was kinda hard to make out a lot of the stuff played... it got sorta better near the end but it was still noticeable.
I pretty much only recognized the songs because I'm a big fan (obviously) and I know the songs by heart.
How was it for you guys?

They just did a report on the show on the Spanish news network Univision! I'm really really excited now!

I'll be there in section 128. Much better seats than I thought I'd be able to afford!

All of the above. I liked CD so I think CD2 is worth hearing in both of its forms, with Slash and without. All of it is bound to give us some gems.

So, I'm looking to buy tickets in the $80 range for the Aug. 3 show... would you guys recommend I use a presale code and get them now? Or wait until the public sale starts and move fast from there?
If I should go with a presale, then which would you guys recommend? (I can't go with the Nightrain presale as I don't have membership.)
Trump Using "Sweet Child O Mine" at Rally In Montana

Coming out of nowhere to elaborate. Perhaps Axl (and co.) don't want their music/image to be associated with Trump because of their perception of him. If I don't like a political figure's actions then I know I sure wouldn't want my songs used "in support" of them.
