"hey, hey" adlib vocals still in progress, estimated Axl remembers he needs to record it mid-November, actually schedules studio date in February, scraps it in June as too much effort to go into studio (as studio disrupts movie night with extra butter popcorn & M&Ms), releases TSI remastered instead with a horrible mix as an excuse for a new album for the next 15 years, no bonus tracks just a selects quality audio of "I Wanna be your Dog" from last tour, band breaks up in 2035 as the last remaining members Richard Fortus & Dizzy Reed are the only ones left who give a shit, Axl fueds with the media again and gets cancelled for unloading slurs on twitter at random CNN news reporters, Axl then hides in a mansion for the entire rest of his life never speaking a word again aside from a random tweet about Taco Bell being deliveredr late, WW3 starts, Universal Studios is bombed and all the GNR pro shot footage is destroyed, Fernando sells the band name & rights to disney, in order to purchase a private island in Honduras which Beta posts beach pics for the next 10 years on twitter as if nothing happened, Disney releases a shitty AI generated movie about GNR that gets destroyed by the remaining fan base still insane enough to give a shit, Steven Adler makes headlines for spending his AFD royalities on heroin and breaks a world record for most heroin ever overdosed and dies, Melissa Reese starts an onlyfans, a crazed billionaire GNR Fan manages to buy Geffen and accidently drops all the USB-drives of unheard gnr music into a puddle after taking a selfie to post on gnr reddit, the puddle is ran over by a bus further destroying the hard drives, it is 2050 and most the GNR fanbase is either dead or full of AFD-crazed zoomers who dont even know what Chinese Democracy was and roleplay about the band having intercourse instead because society at this point is already too degenerate to recover from, AI has taken over and actual human-produced music is declared illegal, Elon Musk's spaceship promising the last hope for humanity imploads mid-space OceanGate submarine style, humans go extinct and God finally shows up only to blow up the Earth to put it out of it's misery, he then closes every single universe & alternate reality to utter abyss and removes himself as well so nothingness is all that will ever remain.

All downhill from here folks, Pretty Tied Up was nice to be added back to the setlist in 2023, RIP.
(lmao i spent way too long on that shit)

(War Room-era Skylar rumored to return as well, probably worse than all of that block of text, if you know you know)

You may be onto something here.... or just on something? Either way, this is probably exactly how it's going to happen.

Thanks for making me chuckle 😁 this forum is really something.

I don't know why they allowed it or how they were made to accept it.

The moderator is "The Syn". That's the name of the company that manages GN'R's social media, the same one that accidentally posted that press release on Linkedin about how many views Perhaps got on streaming services after their successful campaign

Can you elaborate? Seems like I've missed that part before!

  3. Hey guys,

I'm preparing a presentation on myths surroundig Guns N' Roses for one of my courses at university. I remembered the phrase "most dangerous band in the world" which got thrown around a lot during their early days.

I was wondering where the origin of this phrase was and who coined it first. Was it an article in a magazine? Was it a promotional stunt by the band's management? Was it just their reputation as to destroying hotel rooms and the general enigma surrounding their demeanor and appearance? Was it Donington or St. Louis? I guess the origin must have been earlier anyways...

Some insights from the archival experts of this forum would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :slash:

Please refrain from just trashing the band's current state in this thread. This discussion should only revolve around that title in the early days. Thank you :P

Thing is, what isn't socially acceptable today was totally acceptable in the past. For instance, back in my grandfather's day, adult males routinely married girls who were 13, 14 and 15 years of age (Elvis, anyone?), quickly knocked them up and no one cared. Now if someone tries to do that, they're called a pedophile and sent to jail, socially shunned for the rest of their lives and ruined.

So for me, I always look at the context. In this case, there are probably lots of things that GNR did in the 80's while drunk and high or whatever that would be considered wrong today. But were they wrong then? Outright rape yes, but short of that? I don't know. Seems like that scene was all about male-dominance and female-groupie-subservience. Most of those women on the strip knew what they were getting into and they did so willingly. This woman here, though we will never know for sure, probably falls into that place. She was young, thought it was the right move to allow herself to be used up like a blow-up doll at the time and then later regretted it like I'm sure most women do. Now, viewing it through a new lens, she thinks of it as horrendous and wrong and wants Axl to be held responsible for something she willingly went along with... but that ain't how shit works.

Oh fck off! This kinda stuff has and will never be acceptable. I don't know if her allegations are true or not, but saying (sexual) abuse (in any form!) needs to be seen in its "historic" context is just plain stupid. It's like saying "if she didn't want to get raped she shouldn't have worn such a short skirt" or "well I kind of understand where the Nazis in Germany 1933 came from perspectively...so I guess it can't be looked at from today's lense." It sure can you brick! And it should if there is any proof or reason to do so in this case. Again, I don't know if there is and it's not up to me to judge here. But I can sure judge you for your idiotic assessment above. Just because GNR did "many things" in the 80s you can't rule over singular things that might stick out and irritate your egoistic fan image of Axl Rose. You don't know enough about the guy who had so much dirt on him over the years to make any fair judgement about these claims.

  5. Oh wow! For me it's actually even more impressive how much he got the mannerisms down! I mean the guy moves just like Axl. Slash guy too. For the singing I'd say the end was spot on but the first half was not too convincing. Nonetheless, it's fun to imagine 80's GNR on a modern TV show. Makes you think whether their looks and attitude would have worked in this context today :D (of course I know their success didn't come from anything like this but still..)

Yo yo yo - does anybody know what the music is that's on Meegans Instagram story?

It says 'noise in the background by @slash'...

Doubtful that it would be some kinda snippet from Guns, that wouldn't be very smart, but I didn't recognise the song

I don't know what it is, but I believe I can hear some piano in that which is very unusual for Slash's regular music 🤔

  7. Probably, this is not an official release at all. In my opinion this isn't any different to all the other inofficial bootlegs on spotify etc. This says published by Blue Music Corps which seems to me as a more or less professional music publishing company. If you use thirdparty websites to publish music on platforms like Spotify there is an option to put it up on YouTube which ties the music to the artists profile/channel (it says auto-generated by YouTube in the description). This is probably what happened. This company wanted to release the Ritz broadcast like many others before them and their auto-generated uploads got tied to GNR's account by YouTube automatically...

Someone with more knowledge on this correct me if I'm wrong. Just my assumption...

    Thank you! :)

But seriously... "Slash appears to be working on new music" from a photo of his amp? I know what it might implicate but I find your headline a little far fetched to be honest. This could mean anything at this point. Also the post doesn't say anything about recording unlike last time...

For me this is not proof enough to conclude on new gnr music, ALTHOUGH the pic was pulled. Hopefully we'll know at some point, what this is all about, though. Oh well. :D
