  1. I generally agree with you (see what I did there), but I am pretty sure they planned to play Hard School at the Hollywood Palladium in 2019. It was rehearsed by the band that day, I heard it myself. Unfortunately, this was one of the few shows not promoted by Live Nation so Axl felt ok to show up a couple of hours late and the show itself was shorter than normal. Obviously I don’t know if it was 100% planned to be played that night.
  2. As a long time fan, I completely agree with your sentiment here. However, something is definitely off if they’re not even offering the Perhaps / General single on CD. CD lead times are almost nothing compared to vinyl. Mick Jagger said the Stones upcoming record was done in March but couldn’t be released until this month due to the vinyl. Considering Atlas was on their Instagram story and they’re not currently planning to tour next year, I do have some hope that another EP may be coming. I was surprised that the NITL version of Better wasn’t one of the live songs on the Hardschool EP. Maybe it’s being saved for an upcoming EP? I know, I know. Wishful thinking!
  3. Honestly, I want to wait until I can spin the vinyl myself but the lore of 15 years will probably make me listen to the first rip that hits YouTube
  4. Really nice thread here @ZoSoRose! As an older Guns fan, I did enjoy following the whole CD saga and bought my copy on the day of release en route to Monterrey with my wife and young kids. I played the disc back to back three times before I got the look that told me it was time for something different As much as I do really like a lot of CD, the entire era is still not considered to be GnR for me. The only time I saw NuGuns live was at the Bridge School and you all know how that went.
  5. Beck had his moment but his lyrics were never that great imo. Agree with you, why are they listed here?
  6. I wouldn’t be surprised to see both Slash and Duff have co-writing credits on The General. There is no chance Guns releases anything without them both on it unless they leave again which I don’t see happening anytime soon.
  7. It’s funny how dramatic this place gets over the littlest thing. The General will absolutely get a digital release
  8. Cool, that’s awesome that you love them both. That’s the thing about art, it’s all subjective.
  9. Agreed! Slash hasn’t put out anything bad, but the last two SMKC weren’t nearly as good as the first two. I’m really looking forward to his next all star album.
  10. No shit, thanks for the heads up. I’ll repeat it for those in the back: Dizzys album is the second worst of all the Guns related solo albums IMO. The worst being Believe in Me
  11. Yes I do think that Believe in Me is a mess. And all of Izzy’s albums are better than anything Slash has put out. Only Contraband and It’s 5 O’Clock come close IMO.
  12. Marc actually came over to the booth and struck up a conversation with me. I thought I shouldn’t take up too much of his time and didn’t ask him any questions as I’d already read his book. After he walked away my wife said something to the effect of, “I think he wanted to keep talking you, why didn’t you ask him any questions about Guns n Roses?” I thought I was just being polite!
  13. I checked mine off a few years back when I went to Canter’s Deli and sat in the GnR booth. I was also lucky enough to meet Marc and chat with him for a few minutes. Super nice dude!
  14. I think I agree with you about it being Atlas. Makes me hope there really is an EP coming later this year
  15. For me one of the only best additions by Bumble are the fills he added to IRS but I do love the original leaks as well His vocals were mostly done during the recording of the UYIs but I think they added more songs to make a full album after the tour was over and even during it, no? @Blackstarkindly correct me if I’m wrong
  16. Abuse survivors tend to not respond positively to further physical attacks
  17. I’d say it’s the second worst of all the solo albums. Believe In Me is my least favorite and I say that as a big fan of both Loaded and Tenderness.
  18. Hey, to each their own! I love most of what Izzy has put out, but there are a few songs I’ll skip here and there. And I completely agree about Izzy’s contributions to Guns. What was the timing on that tweet? I’m wondering if it he was specifically referring to the Coachella payout. There wasn’t a full tour planned until after they had all played together for a while, right?
  19. Add Smoke and I agree with you. 117 degrees is my favorite overall
  20. Thankfully the CD single does not have the long intro
