Axl spent quite a while picking his preferred mix and master for Chinese Democracy. As flawed as that mix was at least you could listen to it and enjoy it. It's entirely possible he's over it and just doesn't care now, which is a shame. Don't really see another explanation, the mixes are glaringly bad and I assume he listened to them before they went out. Maybe he's just deaf.

Do you ever feel foolish spending money on GnR?

Not particularly. I'm not so attached to the band in a way that I care enough. If they put out something and I want to get it I will. The whole it being released digitally thing isn't something I really consider a problem and I expected they would eventually. -
I've always liked it. Not really sure why tbh

People are really desperate to take sides instead of just being okay with not knowing. Going out of your way to paint someone as a money grabber when you know nothing about the situation is very strange.

I really enjoyed it. There are some parts that have been cut that I liked from the demo but they were very unfinished so I understand why they were taken out. From lyric sheets from the 90s it seems they were going to cut the same parts then, anyway. Quite emotional song along with the video (including some silly beatles style humour that ngl didn't click on my first watch but works when you're in the mindset for it) I think they did a good job. Love that they included the footage of them working on it in the 90s as well. Something I've wanted to see for a long while.

This isn't really true at all. If a vinyl has the same master as the cd (most vinyls nowadays) it will sound pretty much the same as the digital version. I own many vinyl that sound exactly like the cd. There can be subtle differences just due to the nature of the playback (different cartridges, turntables, stylus etc) but I wouldn't say that means it sounds "better". There isn't really a rule when it comes to this stuff like you're making it seem with this post. Obviously if a different, better sounding master is used for the vinyl (or cd, works both ways) then that's where the main difference will be. Not saying there aren't examples of vinyl sounding different than the cd due to the nature of the format, I just don't think it's a rule or something special about vinyl.
