  1. Also has links to official profiles on IG (we knew he had one, although he doesn't use it) and on TikTok (also no posts)
  2. I don't know why, but this whole conversation reminded me of another occasion a few years ago (also during a GN'R break, I think), when Beta (?) shared a picture of Axl Axl's legs in slippers next to his cats, and the mini meltdown that caused on the forum (Slash and Duff being out there doing things and Axl at home in slippers, not to mention that a rockstar should never wear slippers, etc. )
  3. He has said that he wrote about 60 songs during the pandemic and then continued writing, so he has to release at least some of those. He also said that he has a "GN'R" folder (as well as for Iggy, Ozzy etc.) on his laptop (and mentioned the "Amen" song along the lines of that) but most of the songs are solo songs.
  4. He said he wanted to take a break from touring after the GN'R tour. He also plans to release another album by the time he hits the road.
  5. He's been always like that, though. Especially since he quit GN'R. As years went by, he went more and more busy.
  6. It was registered as "The General and Monsters" on SESAC (which collects publishing royalties for Axl) and other databases that got the data from Universal (which has Axl's publishing). On GMR, though (which collects royalties for Slash and Duff) it has been registered just as "The General" (It should be on BMI, too, which collects royalties for Brain and his friends, but it hasn't appeared there yet). So I think your theory that the songs were registered together so that UMG could take down Monsters as The General (without giving away that it's a different song) is very plausible.
  7. Tim Collins, then manager of Aerosmith, appears in the backstage footage at the end of the video (as well as Tom Zutaut and Vicky Hamilton). I don't think I've heard of their friend who played sax during Anything Goes before. I looked in Marc Canter's book and his name is not mentioned. He's referred to as a "musical associate" who also provided the band with some experimental "recreational" substances after the show.
  8. Yes, I think so (I'm not 100% sure). Yes, it's not a coincidence. I guess they just thought it would be cool to release it on the same date the show took place. But other than that, I don't think that's something that makes more special or anything like that.
  9. That was at the later Whiskey show, in August 1986 (there is audio of it).
  10. Yeah, it was ("the first GN'R reunion recording", etc.). As far as I know, the rumour started from Mitch Lafon, then the producer of the T-Rex tribute album responded that there was no truth to it, but that there was another rumour about just Axl (without GN'R) recording a version for a different project. But then "insiders" kept saying that it was a GN'R song.
  11. It clearly looks like it's part of a Zak Starkey and Sshh project/album, so I think it's certain that it wouldn't be released as GN'R.
  12. He also posted this yesterday: https://www.instagram.com/p/C5VFeVSMO3O/
  13. Sshh is Zak's wife, I think, and they got a band together. He says that he and Sshh have done the production of the whole album, but from what I understand Axl is mixing the track, at least the vocals.
  14. I hope that Axl hasn't been mixing his vocals since then Maybe it was shelved at the time because of that other T-Rex tribute album that was released then and included a cover of the same song by different artists. But still, it was 2017 and now it's 2024
  15. If I'm not mistaken, Axl (and Caram) mixed his vocals on Rock the Rock, too. It looks like Axl wants to mix his vocals on whatever he sings on himself (or have "his guy" do it). I wouldn't be surprised if the Michael Schenker/UFO (?) song he recorded vocals on is delayed for the same reason.
  16. So it was true then. I guess I owe an apology to the "insiders" and their sources. I hope it sees the light of the day
  17. It's the first time an induction ceremony takes place, though (I suppose until now the certificates were given during the regular Grammy Awards show), so there will likely be more than giving a certificate. They said there going to be performances, but not who the performers will be.
  18. 2001-2014. They didn't play a show until 2001, and then the longest period without touring was Dec. 2002 - May 2006. But they played a lot of shows from late 2009 to 2014.
  19. What this article is referring to, though, are arrangements that are for the benefit of the partner (certain additional benefits a partner has from having the employee status, like compensation etc.). Doesn't have to do with the partner having less rights.
  20. Your opinion that they're "employees really" is only based on the fact that Slash and Duff can't force Axl to record and release new music, right? Well, they couldn't do that under the terms of the 1992 partnership, either. (But I think such things are never a provision in partnership agreements anyway. They are a matter of how the dynamics between partners work in real life).
  21. There are legal documents affirming that they're partners. Also, for what it's worth (or not), Fernando has also referred to them as partners. So, what we know for certain, is that they're not employees ("well paid" or not), officially and legally. The details we don't know are the terms and conditions of the current partnership, e.g. whether it's a continuation/amendment of the 1992 partnership or there are different stipulations regarding touring, merchandise, releases, etc.
  22. I think that, in the improbable event that Slash left GN'R now or in the near future, it would be the end of GN'R at least in terms of touring. But, since they're all grown men now, the split most likely wouldn't be as ugly as in the mid-90s, so they would probably find a formula to regroup for occasional one-off shows (e.g. at a festival, if they were offered enough money) and, potentially, for vault releases. So, in terms of releases, there would (potentially) be only archival releases. And that would be the only form the CD era material could be released (as an archival release and not as "new" music by an active band). Because, even in the very unlikely scenario of Axl continuing GN'R as a touring act with a new replacement guitar player for Slash, Axl would "need" to have that guitar player add to the material, and I don't think he would do that at this point.
  23. There's ownership of the name (one of the assets) and ownership of other assets. I don't know what the point of your pasting all of Chinese Whispers is. But if you're interested in knowing more and in more depth about this issue, and have the time and patience to read all the documents: https://www.a-4-d.com/t8119-2008-01-18-slash-duff-vs-axl-lawsuit-document-other-related-court-documents https://www.a-4-d.com/t8118-1995-08-31-axl-s-notice-of-resignation-from-the-guns-n-roses-partnership#33949 Slash and Duff don't have to do what Axl wants either.
