    • 4:56 - How did you end up hooking up/meeting Guns n’ Roses? Went to a Sushi place with Axl & Doug - I’m assuming he means Goldstein? He didn't say his full name. - He doesn’t answer whether or not he has met the other members of the band.
    • 5:24 - Was Axl a fan of The Killing Joke? Doesn’t know if Axl liked the band but knows he was aware of them. Then starts randomly talking about jamming with Axl saying the first thing they did was go into a studio and play around. Martin on bass, Axl on guitar.
    • 5:55 - Axl was constantly listening to new music around 50-100 CDs a week. So he thinks that’s how axl became aware of The Killing Joke as well as Martin’s other projects.
    • 6:25 - Was Axl a good guitar player? Axl was just learning how to play when they met and was taking lessons from Buckethead.
    • 8:10 - Talks about Axl working from 9PM - 9AM and how he thought that was a symptom of Axl’s depression. Martin then says Axl hadn’t sung in 18 months so during this entire time he was only directing everyone else.
    • 8:30 - Talks about turning Axl’s pool house into a studio so they could work during the day and write songs acoustically to get Axl singing again. Says he did well “away from the circus of the studios” and they got a few good songs out of those sessions.
    • 9:15 - What songs did he and Axl Work on officially since he was only credited for Madagascar? Says he’s thankful that Axl credited him but very little of what they worked during that time ended up in the final cut of Madagascar. Then says the only other song they worked on that ended up on the album was Postitute
    • 9:57  - How long did you work with Axl? Only worked with Axl for a few months (audio cut out here so I didn’t get his full answer) He then started to push Axl to record and master the songs and that’s when he started getting told by management “We’ll let you know when he’s ready to record”
    • 10:40 - What was Axl’s hang up? Why did he never want to start recording? Basically says Axl was too much of a perfectionist.
    • 13:00 - Were you pressured by the record company to push Axl to record? No, they were completely hands off and letting him take his time.
    • 16:00 - Did you ever talk to Axl about why he wanted to re-recording AFD? Martin thinks Axl wanted to prove that he could do it on his own without the others. That he wanted to convince everyone that he w as Guns n’ Roses. :facepalm:
    • 17:00 - Were Matt & Duff still involved or had they already left when he started working with Axl? They were already gone. They only had Buckethead and a top session drummer (he doesn’t name who the drummer was)
    • 19:08 - What was your impression of Chinese Democracy once it was finally released? Thought it was a “noble, brave statement.”
    • 19:55 - What made you move on and stop working with guns n’ roses? They never called him back. :lol:
    • 20:05 - What was your impression of Axl during the time you worked with him? He was straight, clean, sober and a great piano player. Martin thought Axl was depressed and "the Brazilian housekeeper was running the show". Axl was also getting into spiritual stuff and was “reconnecting” to try and heal himself from his life and addictions. It was “classic hollywood recluse stuff.”
    • 21:25 - Did he and Axl ever talk about the former members? Rarely. Martin then said that Axl told him he never rehearsed with the original band when they were writing Appetite. Axl would always stand outside the room and work on the vocals by himself. Also said Axl didn’t allow the others to hear the vocals until he was ready to record them.

    Hope that all makes sense. :lol: Martin is really scatter brained so between the audio cutting out and him jumping around from thought to thought it was a little hard to transcribe the conversation. :lol:

    I think the Izzyconda pic is when he was at his worst. These pictures look like the very beginning.

    Ok, first of all... none of these women are Julia Roberts. :lol: Secondly, one of them is wearing a "I <3 black cock" shirt sooooo what leads you to believe she's "skilled and intelligent"? :lol: And lastly, since when has Axl treated women well??? Do you have any proof of that? Or are you just hoping he's changed?

    I mean... I'm as introverted as they come. I never speak to people unless they speak to me first. Rarely leave the house unless I'm working and stick to myself as much as possible... But if I wanted to watch a fight I'm not going watch it in a separate bus looking through a window like a creepy peeping tom. :lol:

    It was on amazon for a week and then it disappeared. I think I saw Mick on twitter say he was hoping to get it re-released in the states this year but he didn't give a date or anything.

    He was very complimentary and said they are happier than they've ever been. He also complimented Axl a lot and said nobody believed Axl could do this (AC/DC + reunion tour) and he proved them all wrong.

    Edit: And Izzy called Niven when he saw that Iron Maiden had cut-out Icebergs on stage with them.

    Jeez! What's going on in this thread? I'm so not in the mood for all this discussion. Everybody considering to be wrong about Izzy all this time because in the end he's all about the money? WTF??? What about all we heard all these years from people who know him and say he's the most humble and down to earth guy possible? What about the simple way he lives? What about not promoting his music at all and only releasing it online? Does it look like someone who ONLY cares about the money? Fuck!!

    Of course money is a very important part of the negotiations for him to join this stupid band on tour or some shows, but OF COURSE is not the only reason. I'm sure there's much more. Emotional reasons. He must have considered disrespectful to be offered only guest spots, and this is just one of the things I can think of. He seemingly doesn't like to talk openly about FEELINGS. I bet he only made the infamous "loot tweet" to make the story short and end the speculations at that time. But now that tweet is coming back to bite him. 

    End of the rant. Sorry. :facepalm:

    I think we are all just trying to look at things objectively because nothing makes sense. Nobody is accusing him of anything. Just questioning the rumors is all.

    I'm actually wondering if maybe there's some truth in the rumors about Izzy only being about money... Don't kill me, but maybe we've had this all wrong? Maybe the reason Izzy is staying quiet is because he fucked up by asking for too much?

    Izzy's reputation has been dragged through the mud since 2016 and he's said nothing. Niven said that Izzy cared about the legacy, and if that's the case; why is he not defending himself? And now with this rumor of him having the opportunity to play and walking out, people are once again painting him like the bad guy.

    I get that Izzy is a quiet guy and doesn't like drama, but at a certain point him not saying anything doesn't make sense. Either he's the second coming of Gandhi and truly doesn't care what people think of him, or he can't say anything because the rumors are true.  :ph34r:

This is very different from Vicky Hamilton saying something about this situation. Niven actually has (present tense) a relationship with Izzy and Slash.

    Niven said in the podcast that he hasn't talked to Izzy in years and only gets his info from a mutual friend.

    Edit: I can't stop thinking about 'What if...' he had played that night. :( Maybe they would have remembered how much fun they had playing together and he would've done more shows... Maybe we all could have seen him play live last year...

    Instead we all got nothing and Izzy is still off being a MIA grumpy cat somewhere. :max:
