But the fans are driving around Malibu (and other places associated with Axl) looking for him, and when you look around social media, there are many many who say life is short and they don't care whether it's right or wrong, they are planning to go see Axl's house.

After it got around that I spent an entire day with Guns + TB + family and friends and pets at their hotel I got bombarded for months after by women who asked me to "take me with you next time you visit Axl" (assuming this was a regular thing for me), to "teach me how to be a groupie" (WTF??), and "are you coming to this and that show with me, I got tickets, you take us backstage".

I'm not exaggerating, it was so much I got seriously ill in October and didn't even want to open FB anymore.

After this experience I can only imagine what's really going on there around his house. That's why I wasn't kidding when I posted yesterday that - like Eduardo's statement shows - everyone at the property is probably on alert now and that they assumed the lady who delivered the court papers was also a stalker.

Yes, Axl loves the attention, he's lives the rock star thing. BUT - at the right place at the right time. He's still that very private guy also.

As for security on tour - at the shows, yes. of course. In the hotel however, zero but his regulars - TB, Del James, Andrei. No security. Also not with the drivers when everyone was leaving for the show that night.

In Rome where lots of fans were present, police was taking care of everything, as far as I know.

If there were many, many, we'd see more pictures and less of Axl being caught out on the street or walking up to get his mail.  Both of those are too random to be random in my book.  But there are a few people who visit LA and make it a point to find his house.  If he's some place public there's more of a chance a fan might take his picture.  When he is caught though, you don't see security, he must feel he's safe.

Not so sure about that loves attention and lives the rock star thing.  He likes racing and has to go to a friends funeral.  Where else have you seen him or read an interview?

Can I ask who arranged for you to spend the day in camp?

I guess it is an joke, but i  talk about real security like most rich people has.

He's in an area where everyone is rich.  He's reasonably safe.  His only real concern is fans bothering him.  He's not that popular these days and his fan base isn't that young to be stalking him.  As you've seen, he feels safe enough to be out running on the streets or walking up to get the mail.

Which begs to question, since there aren't fans driving around Malibu looking for him,  are a few of them getting tipped off to be in the right place at the right time?  Inside job, if I was exploring that question.

Out on tour, security is a different issue.

Because lying that someone has had sex with someone is hardly damaging. Lies about rape, on the other hand... There is simply no reason why he would care about someone saying he has sex with them, he probably can't remember half of the groupies he has had anyway.

Hardly damaging?  It's got you thinking he has a reputation and had sex with every groupie who came his way.  And her thinking she could go to a party and prey on him for sex.  And years later it's coming out like this, in graphic detail, being discussed in public and people taking sides.

I get why famous people don't have the time or desire to deal with every lie out there about them.  But I've read enough of their books to tell you the lies hurt them.  Made them fearful, had trust issues and assaulted their self esteem.

When she told the story before (her book, the Daily Mail interview promoting her book, and the Look Away documentary) she didn't talk about rape or sexual assault (at least not explicitly). That is mentioned in the preface of Axl's answer.

Axl is denying they even had sex or he knew her.  Yet she published a book saying they did.  Has done interviews about it.  Why didn't he take some kind of legal action back then to stop the lies?  If I'm on the jury, that's something I would want to know.

If I'm on the jury, I'm not very sympathetic towards her.  She preyed on him and used the encounter for profit.

I'm not very sympathetic towards anybody in this situation.  Look at where they were and what they were doing.  They actively participated when they knew they shouldn't and this wasn't the first time.  And they continued in these types of behavior afterwards.  They've got nobody but themself to blame, yet here it is in court, asking to assign blame and monetary value.

I have nothing to support this other than the odd thing here and there I've read about this guy over the years, but the general consensus seems to be that he's off the reservation and full of shit. In what world would a record company, who's primary focus is to make money, allow the funding and failure of an act to the detriment of their reputation just to get a prior member in?

None of the Beatles' former studios even tried stuff like that. Sounds entirely invented.

There was just something in what he was saying that I went looking on the net suspecting there might be some reservation issues.    Popped right up.

He was, but he stayed in touch with some of us through email and then he went through some personal shit and stopped responding to all of us at the same time. We reached out but from what I know none of us ever heard from him again. (or have you, @cineater ?) He didn't seem like the kind of guy to not even bother to write a message back, so I fear the worst. But I sure hope I'm wrong.

Haven't heard from him.  I think about him all the time but I fear the worst too.
