London has gotten really good. I've seen him play with his band a few times over the last couple years and the last time I saw him (April of this year at NAMM) he was killing it. Wouldn't mind seeing him up there with GnR as long as he doesn't do any weird stuff. Yeah that's why he was there, just hanging out before meeting up with his band for their shows.

That's on the recording too, that will sound cool also. Apparently one of my friends is going to this show, afaik she's not a huge fan like us so I'm curious what she thinks about it afterwards. Jealous that they might do Coma, Locomotive, etc tonight.

What was that? Fwiw I do think there's some kind of plan to try writing all new material after this tour, like Slash said a while back. First we get Perhaps and whatever else this year then maybe something new later. I don't think he would've said that if it hadn't already been talked about before between them. I would love a studio version of this.

Yes yes yes 1000%!!!!! A big part of that was Matt, that's where a lot of the energy and groove is coming from.

It's just the first show, let's see what happens going forward. Maybe he'll try the high part in the chorus later. Yeah exactly. He's pushing it a little faster which isn't necessarily bad (it does sound kind of cool) but it's not the same as back then, where it drags just a little.

He forgot to do Perils at the beginning though, did it at the end instead. Hopefully he'll remember the "and I can tell you a thing or two about something else if you really want to know" bit for the end next time. I know I'm biased because I'm a huge Matt fanboi but PTU, BO, and DOTF would sound better imo if he was there. The feel just isn't the same with Frank.

Yeah the Rammstein thing is pretty sad, like come on it's 2023 why is this sort of thing still going on? Plus Till is like Axl's age, he's not some young 20 something. This setlist is pretty awesome, personally I would want SOYL and either version of You're Crazy but I think we'll see some of these songs shuffled around as the tour goes on. And things are looking more promising for a new song too. I was going to go anyway when they came through my city but I'm definitely going now, going to try to get good seats too. BO has a lot of energy and sounds great (although Frank can't seem to remember where to play the cowbell vs the other cymbals but that was expected). PTU was cool too, and these songs will only sounds better as the tour goes on.

Josh was my prediction too, although it would've been cool to have Chad Smith. They've known Josh for a long time and he was really close with Taylor.

They played Bad Obsession for a whole year before Teddy joined the tour.

What year was that? I've seen SMKC 4 times, Phoenix 2018, Phoenix, LA, and Vegas 2022. Seen Gilby perform about half a dozen times at NAMM events (3 times he had Teddy ZigZag with him).
