The Perhaps single will be released on CD on December 20 in Japan only

People outside Japan can order here: https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/UICY-5140

They ship internationally. I've used them before

Good Grief.  After translating the nme article, the first paragraph shows a release of 8 Dec, the product info shows a release of 12 Dec and CDjapan site who I ordered through shows 20 Dec.

I agree that another Lies type of release would make sense for where the band is it today. That said, they probably wouldn’t do any naming conventions or artwork associated with Lies itself, as they’re clearly trying to distance themselves from One In A Million as much as possible now.

I can’t see them releasing the general and then this. Seems like a lot from them. They like to put out 1 or 2 things a year

Conspiricy theory here: what if the band or label is trying to clear the slate of these already done songs to make way for “40 years of GNR” in the much speculated return to touring in 2025?

I really do believe The General will be the last “new” track we hear for some time. Of course I’d love to be wrong and be shocked by a covert album in November but I really don’t see it.

Consider that 2024 is the year Slash will focus on his solo album and touring with the Conspirators. Why drop a full LP and then not tour it? Then again, ya know, Guns N’ Roses. 😆

I wouldn’t be surprised if they dropped an LP with tracks we’ve had since 2021 and live material from the current lineup. They have played some lesser known ones in recent years like Dead Horse, locomotive, Nice Boys, Reckless Life, PTU , Anything Goes or Slither would round out an EP or LP. A 2 disc version could include some illusion live tracks remixed but not yet released.

    That's great! Have a blast!

I should clarify. My family is from SA. However, we don't live there anymore.

I thought it would have been neat to see the remnants of GN'R, in the town where my parents met, and where my grandparents are buried.

I have many good memories in San Antonio. When I lived in Austin, my friends and I went down to San Antonio to attend MANY rock shows.

Iron Maiden, Van Halen,  Heaven and Hell (Sabbath with Dio), The Stones, Judas Priest, KISS, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Tesla, you name it, we saw them in San Antonio...

That’s an impressive list of artists.  My daughter is the youngest at 11, but she will rock LALD, Brownstone, Sympathy, Michelle along with the radio favorites. We’ve been here 8 years (thank you Air Force) and it’s been a blast. I went in 2017 with a friend from Colorado but my kids weren’t quite ready for “the big stage” as my daughter calls it.

Is anyone from the forum going to this show?

My family is from San Antonio, but I won't be travelling from DFW to the Alamo city in the middle of the week, for the GNR gig...

Taking the family to see GNR. Kind of a bucket list for three generations to go together.

Do you think Absurd, Hard Skool, and Perhaps will be on the eventual new album? The mixing and mastering is so different, I can't imagine them working out together unless they are remastered, and mixed different prior.

Fun and maybe pointless fact. Perhaps and Absurb were both released in Hi Res to streaming platforms, HS is currently not Hi Res, along with ChiDem and Spaghetti albums. My guess is HS is being put on an album. I wonder if The General will be Hi Res?

Some old dude with too much time on his hands spent countless hours determining every vocal syllable sound on the cellphone clip, then spliced together re-tuned Axl vocals primarily from the CD stems to make it seem like Axl was singing it. The instrumental was done much the same way, except the orchestra, which included old concert intro soundbytes overlayed with recreations from various other sound generators like FL Studio. Then, he replaced the Finck solo from the clip with some sweet Buckethead wankery (Track 3 of 2007's Cyborg Slunks).

Don’t let the cat out of the bag. Now everybody’s going to want to do it.

How often is the merchtruck up.

With new song, feel compelled to purchase the shirt. It's only available via truck too from what I can see.

I’m not sure outside the US, but here you can shop the tour truck anytime through the Shop app.

Guns N’ Roses Tour Truck in the app.
