  1. As annoying and odd as all this is - doesn’t take away from the fact that something is clearly happening in the background. Stuff will be released…..it’s a matter of when and THATS frustrating.
  2. I think this was because there was an issue with the recording? At least it’s to fill a gap and not replacing for perfections sake!
  3. Yeah - i tried (badly) to differentiate between the standalone release and the box set stuff. Something for more ‘fair weather’ fans to buy to document the tour. No danger are they massive sellers but clearly worthwhile. The UYI box set stuff is for the ‘nerds’ like us and not as accessible!
  4. What DVD is that and from when? Must be a bootleg? The only one I’m aware of is 2012 at the O2 and 2016 was far better!
  5. He kills it on Reckless Life and a number of other tracks? Some songs don’t work….Hard Skool being one glaring example. Put it this way - I’m a fan like you and I’d lbw well pleased to get a NITL/latter day live era release. I posted further up - if done sensibly then it could be great.
  6. A full performance from summer 2016 would be absolutely fine IMO. If you wanted a tour spanning set…..You could easily cherry pick songs from throughout the NITL run - the tougher ones to sing like Rocket Queen were done best in 2016 and then you could span the remaining years by using staples like ISE/Nightrain in 2017/18 etc as they were almost consistently good. If done properly it could be great.
  7. I do. They only have one single live release…..and how much is live is debatable! I’m an advocate of the Maiden approach and having a live album per tour as a document of the time.
  8. Is there any other chat elsewhere about this Duff comment? Dunno where they post but that person called sp1at seemed to be someone to look to for info (in the past anyway)? I might just tweet Duff myself and ask him what he meant by that comment! 🤣
  9. That’s a great setlist. I’m very happy with Glasgow setlist and funnily enough KOHD is one of those songs I’d skip due to overplay but at the gig it really was excellent. I’d have traded Hard Skool for Locomotive though in an instant!
  10. Wow - interesting! Hopefully re new music and not another tour or something.🤞
  11. Hmm. 72 Seasons is tremendous….there are a couple of tracks which are absolutely filler but the rest is awesome. Different styles of course but GNR would have to really improve on the Locker stuff to match MetallicA. And I say that as someone who thinks Perhaps…Atlas Shrugged…Zodiac 13…..State if Grace and Eye On You (a bit dated/2000 but nails that time and style) are very good!
  12. That would be a fair observation….if RHCP hadn’t released mostly dross for the last 20 years. IMO anyway!
  13. Fair enough if you saw it last year….and if you were gonna piss yourself 🤣
  14. Pity - Absurd has a cracking energy live. In Glasgow I was struck at how much Slash was digging it!
  15. More to the point - I’m more interested in a fixed version that doesn’t have the mixing issues!
  16. I was at the Glasgow gig - they are on fire.
  17. Better than I’d expected TBF. Not really a fan and I only saw latter half of the set but they sounded good as a unit and Hyndes vocals were bang-on.
  18. I thought the gig was a triumph. There was genuine elation from everyone that the gig finally happened and the band knew and acknowledged it. In hindsight it was a good thing it didn’t happen last year and vocally and setlist wise it wouldn’t have been near what we got yesterday. My takeaways of the gig:- Axl is in a good place as a person and on vocals. He was in a proper good mood - and he largely nailed the vocals. Attempting SOD….at the end of a gig….shows the confidence. And apart from a few wobbly notes he did it justice. He seems to have got to the place where he can work with his current voice and then push it at the times you HOPE he would go hell for leather (end of Civil War/end of audience participation part in KOHD being a couple of examples). Anytime he did it the place went absolutely nuts! The band are a well oiled machine these days and seem to have great rapport and chemistry. Lots of laughs and interactions. Clearly the union in 2016 took time to gel but they are so good now - everyone. Slash and Fortus compliment each other so well…Frank is absolutely fine in my book - keeps things ticking along and no flubs….Dizzy/Melissa are more key as time goes on - backing vocals are MILES better than at any time (including Duff who helps out here). Melissa adding strings/effects really does enhance the experience. Duff - a total steady eddie. I’ve seen comments re Slash straying too far from the iconic solos….I thought he was bang on the money…added little bits here and there but nothing major. Songwise - I got my Reckless Life so I’m over the moon! Didn’t expect Shadow of your love so that was a bonus…..then Anything Goes…so good. Absurd went over really well - Slash clearly gets a kick out of it as he was very animated. Crowd were digging it too (the sight of middle aged/older folk jiving away to that song was a sight to behold)! Hard Skool though just doesn’t do it for me live - it’s in that place where Axl can’t get to and it doesn’t sound good (and I’d say is the weakest song in the set). Interesting observation of SOD….went over fine in general but some folk around me were absolutely over the moon it got played. Proper elated - some looked quite young too which was surprising but pleasing to see that ‘latter day’ tunes can still really invoke strong feelings. In summary - The band is firing on all cylinders and everything is in a good place….I hope the band can see all the support and goodwill they are getting at the gigs and makes them pull the trigger on more new stuff. I like Perhaps and judging by what gets airtime on rock radio in the UK I reckon it could do very well indeed.
  19. I was a fair distance away….and could still clearly see what was going on there. I think Axl thanked her and blew her a kiss. 🤣
  20. I’d deffo like to hear Bad Apples 👍
  21. That’d be awesome. We really have been waiting bloody ages! Any of the following please 🤣 :- Dont Damn Me (1% chance of that TBF) Back Off Bitch Zodiac 13 The General Perhaps
  22. TBF - it’s pissing down so just go for it as no-one will be able tell the difference 🤣
  23. Hardly taxiing singing his stuff though is it? Even then Oasis fans were saying he had his awful spell a few years ago and seems to have improved.
  24. Whilst I agree with your overriding point - that review is a clear hatchet job. And almost all of the comments on the article say as much. Criticism is good….you should learn from that….but that’s just a nonsense and reads more like he’s bitter because Axl or Slash (or both) had it off with his missus or something. 🤣
