Yeah she's really gone off the deep end in the last couple years. Honestly the only reason that I'm still interested and go to her shows is because of my friend.
I'm not sure if you follow her on social media but she was completely unbearable. I had to unfollow her Instagram quick lol.

Anybody knows Dorothy? I’m not familiar with their/her songs but there’s a Slash guest appearance in the Troubadour on Gifts From The Holy Ghost. Not bad. I also like the studio version. Here’s the song with Slash
I don’t know the song she sings on Slash’s album either so I have no idea what to expect.
I saw Dorothy live a couple years back and she puts on a great show and can really sing. Unfortunately she is an unbearable follow on social media and crazy religious to the point where she has stopped shows to rid audience members of evil spirits lol

Mötley Crüe isn't a stadium band, never has been, never will be. It needed Def Leppard to justify the move to stadiums, and from what I've seen, they're only booking things like county fairs now they've gone it alone
Motley Crue is headlining some of the DWP festivals like Louder Than Life, Aftershock and Rockville and people are not happy about it lol. I am going to LTL and I have not seen one person in the community say they want to see the Crue there. I know I'll be leaving early. I might stay a few songs to see the train wreck tho lol

Fall To Pieces in Axl's lower register would sound great, I reckon. He'd no doubt use his clean voice if GN'R ever did that song, but we can dream, right?
Most GNR songs would sound great with gus lower register! I hope he eventually makes the transition

What about the song Slash did with Demi Lovato?

Also Frank posted this today:

Dude can't you see Frank is clearly lying?? The writing is on the wall. Slash's new song got a lot of YouTube views so obviously he has had it with his old band and is done with them. Isn't it obvious to you that some random internet posters at mygnrforum know Slash better than this frank guy does?

Besides, he’s still playing arenas outside of the US. That’s where the money is with SMKC.

You can believe that, but in the year 2024 I will believe it's not really realistic to think he won't check something that is so instant and easy to look up, especially for an older guy in his 50s who isn't preoccupied with partying and drinking. He can't lay in bed with Megan in the evening, and check on his phone literally within 30 seconds how well his new single is doing? Especially since it's a new project. I think you're still thinking it terms of older life and not in terms of a realistic life of people in the 2020's. And EVEN if not, probably no single he released has garnered that much attention and so quickly in probably 14 years, trust me he knows and if he didn't he was told by somebody, even if he doesn't follow it himself.
If the album really takes off in terms of popularity and how it does, he WILL know. If he really wanted to just crap something out on the side and wasn't really interested in following how it would be doing, he wouldn't have hired Mike Clink who with his credentials can charge artists more to only walk through their door than other producers can charge for an entire session.
All I'm saying is that, after churning out the same WOF clone (and it being worse, with 4 now being the absolute bottom with now newly added crap production) and this new album looking like it's going to completely overshadow the last SMKC singles in terms of success, that maybe it would now be somewhat time to wake up and smell the coffee.
This is such a wild take lol
You do realize the single has Brian Johnson on it right? Of course people are going to check it out.
I really doubt slash is going to compare the success between this album and anything SMKC. As long as he gets along with those guys and can sell tickets to shows he is going to do it. Slash likes playing clubs and likes playing with his band. His world doesn't revolve around YouTube views

Lol no.
There are a lot of songs I love on that album but fuck if it isn't super cheesy. The intro to mean bone, the race car noises in speed parade, the lyrics to alien. What a fucking corny album. It sounded dated when it released and it sounds even more dated now lol
Love he title track and serial killer though. Two of slashes best works.
I prefer rod Jackson over Dover. And I think all and all it's a good album. But I don't think it holds up super well.
I went to a record shop in Philadelphia when I was young and they were giving away this giant promo cardboard stand for the album. It was seriously as tall as me and as wide as my arms could reach but I took it anyway and hung it on my wall. I had an hour train ride with that thing lol. It's just the album cover and the release date, which was actually my 17th birthday!
What a terrible cover too. I can't remember who is between rod and slash but I just remember his face was super wide and mushed together. It looked like slash and rod were fish waiting for food lmao

Not in a million years. When they first played it I was bumped as hell, especially when we learned it was Axl's request. People do really change.
Honestly it's so cool they play it. I hope it's a setlist staple til they retire. Unless they swap it out for fall to pieces.

I looked at getting tickets during the presale and only a handful of tickets were sold so I'll just grab them later tonight lol
I ended up getting my tickets for Bethlehem. Paid a little more than I would like but the venue is like 15 mins from my house and I don't get a lot of good concerts around here. Really excited to go to this show.

I'm wondering if with the whole 'festival' thing Slash's set may be shorter than it would be regularly.
Envious of people getting to go to this!
I'm not too sure. There are 3 bands playing before slash at the Bethlehem show and the show starts at 615. So if the 3 bands take 3 hours with setup Slash would come on around 915 and play for like an hour and 45 mins. I wonder if Slash might rearrange some GnR songs into a more bluesy style 🤔🤔

The venue for the Redmond show says $65-70. https://www.marymoorlive.com/tm-event/slash-s-e-r-p-e-n-t-festival/
Bethlehem is 30-100. Concerts at musikfest are always a little overpriced imo. But 30 is a steal

I'll be going to the Bethlehem show. It's at a 10 day music festival we have over here called musikfest. Should be a great time

This album will be bigger than anything Conspirators.
I mean SMKC had 8 songs in the top 10 US mainstream rock charts, including 2 that hit #1 and 2 albums that landed in the top 10 of the billboard charts.
I would be really surprised if an album of blues covers surpassed anything SMKC have accomplished but I would be glad for Slash if it did

I feel like if there's any GNR songs he could work into a set like this, YATF would be one of them. But I'm almost more interested to see what Snakepit songs he dusts off, if any. This has the potential to be the coolest tour he's done in a long time...
Ain't Life Grand would rule!!

No.
Always liked the live versions, I'd like to hear Slash play it either with this band or for GNR to bring it back on the next tour.
Honestly I'd like to hear any GNR song live that I haven't heard in person before so I'd gladly take it. It was never one of my favorites tho.
Wish I got to see SMKC play Don't Damn Me 😓

I’d like to see him in a smaller venue as the main act tbh. Supporting Aerosmith means playing in front of empty stadiums by daylight like Lenny Kravitz did during some of the reunion shows. IDK… I don’t even know if he should play festivals with a blues set like this. I guess I should wait for the album to build an opinion.
Most of the festival lineups are already announced, and slash isn't playing any of them. Seeing slash in a club is always great but he isn't going to fill a full 90 minute set just playing these blues covers. He could fill the set with GNR or SMKC songs but then why not just tour with the conspirators you know?
Either way I hope to get the chance to see him on this tour.

Have faith...he's been outta action many times and always finds a way back....for what he's put his body thro, he's pretty fit for coming on 80! May have to put more gaps in but he'll complete the tour!
Ya know I was thinking. If Slash is touring without the conspirators and is just going to tour on this album I wonder if he is going to be playing these shows as a support act.
What if he is going to replace the black crows on the Aerosmith run since they are doing their own tours now
There are rumors of the rescheduled shows being announced soon and I found it weird slash didn't announce the tour dates along side of the album
