Not really. I get it that Myles has EXTREME control over his voice and can do wonders with something a little more minimalist like acoustics or pop rock but Rock N' Roll isnt only about soft and sweet flowers, we need the dirty and ugly too which Myles cant really deliver.

Please go listen to the "Pop rock song" by Alter bridge Isolation or ties that bind (Blackbird would be another one as well) and then tell me his voice isn't suited for hard rock

  2. Couldnt Keep it to just 2 had to put in a 3rd, moved some songs around, added an acoustic set with alternating songs, only song ive added that i doubt would happen is Locomotive, although dead horse could be considered a stretch.

I just got back from a Halestorm show. They dropped their new record yesterday and played 9 out of the 12 songs on it. The show was at least 2 hours!

Havn't had a chance to pick up the album, how were the new songs?

  4. Pros:

    - Got to see GNR since I wasn't born when they were together

    - Hearing Deep cuts like Coma live

    - TIL 2016 I found wonderful

    - Seeing them a 2nd time in 2017

    - Getting a long show both times cause who plays for more than 2 hours these days.

    - Hearing the classics SCOM, OTGM, MM, NR, RQ, DC, ISE, WTTJ, Estranged patience, YCBM even if the vocals weren't the best this isnt the 90s anymore.

    Cons:

    - Missed Sorry and whole lotta rosie both times despite being played close to the dates

    - Missed Maddy, Prostitute, slither and SOYL since they were added after.

    - They didnt come close enough for round 3 :(

  5. Saw Robert Plant the other night, holy fucking shit is he still amazing, his screams during Babe I'm gonna leave you and Whole lotta love were great. Also hearing when the levee breaks was great as well.

  6. Ok, so I've had more time to think since February and with the rerelease of Appetite here is what I propose for the setlist changes:

    Proposed Changes:

    1. Shuffle the Set to reduce the number of ballads at the end of the main set; And move some positions within the Set
    2. Add an Acoustic Set
    3. Drop number of CD songs to 5 Max
    4. Drops Some Covers
    5. Add In Older songs.

    1. It's so Easy
    2. Mr. Brownstone
    3. Chinese Democracy
    4. Welcome to the Jungle
    5. Better
    6. You Could be Mine

    6. Paradise City[Mother Intro]

This Keeps all the classics, adds in alternating of songs we want to hear but aren't the biggest hits, spreads the ballads, and has a fast hard hitting end of the encore

  7. I personally am super interested in seeing how Slash's set changes from previous tours, since at this point I feel like if he can get Myles and Todd to do a 24 song set it could be unreal, especially if they add in some stuff from GNR that they don't play often or at all.

My Ideal Set would be something along the lines of:

    1. New Song #1
    2. New Song #2
    3. You're a Lie
    4. Nightrain/You Could Be Mine
    5. The Dissident
    6. new Song #3
    7. Slither
    8. Starlight
    9. Civil War/Beggars and Hangers-On
    10. Shadow Of Your Love/Out Ta Get Me/Welcome to the Jungle [Todd]
    11. New Wong #4 [Todd]
    12. Locomotive [Myles and Todd]
    13. Back From Cali
    14. Halo
    15. The Unholy
    16. Rocket Queen
    17. New song #5
    18. Fall to Pieces
    19. Beggars and Hangers-On/Civil War [Acoustic]
    20. World on Fire
    21. Godfather Solo [Segue into Slither from WOF]
    22. Sweet Child O Mine
    23. Anastasia [Mainset Closer]
    24. Paradise City [Encore]

Maybe Toss, in a Myles Solo song here or there. Depending on the quality of the new album Id be totally fine with him dropping SCOM and PC.
