  3. The Divine Wings Of Tragedy [Album] - Symphony X

  6. I'm super excited, he had mentioned he demoed 2 albums worth of material, I wonder if he will release another album in a shorter time, if not I'll be happy for the new music.
  7. This weekend has been decently productive: Michael Schenker Group - Immortal Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings Nightwish - Human :ll: Nature Aldo Nova - Aldo Nova Seeing as tomorrow is a holiday, I likely will add one or two of the following to the list: Queen - Hot Space, potentially albums after as well but I'm going through in order Kiss - Asylum Alice In Chains - Facelift
  8. Nightwish - Imaginaerum Queen - The Game
  9. I purchased Lies in the summer, the sound quality of that album on Vinyl blew me away, I guess I need to pull it out again soon.
  10. I really need to go on a record shop sometime soon. Maybe I'll celebrate my 25th with that...
  11. Nightwish - Dark Passion Play What a phenomenal record, Anette isn't as strong as Floor or Tarja but still a great album
  12. Nightwish - Dark Passion Play
  13. In the last month (aka since my last post) 2020 Black Sabbath - Tyr AC/DC - Stiff Upper Lip Black Sabbath - Forbidden Black Sabbath - Cross Purposes AC/DC - Blow Up Your Video Dio - Magica Yes - Drama Iced Earth - Night Of The Stormrider 2021 Kiss - Creatures Of The Night Nightwish - Angels Fall First Queen - Self Titled Queen - Queen II Queen - Sheer Heart Attack Nightwish - Oceanborn Nightwish - Wishmaster Queen - A Night At The Opera Queen - A Day At The Races Queen - News Of The World Queen - Jazz From Queens debut onwards has been this past week. I'm sure there were others from 2020 but those were albums I heard for the first time ever at the end of the year.
  14. From what I read in Slash's book the record label was only willing to let him do a tiny tour for the first album and then said they wouldn't do anything else until a new GNR record came out, soon after Slash quit. I don't recall if the two snakepit albums were on the same label so that might have played a role and as others have said rock was on the decline.
  15. It really is endless, just when I think I'm going to be content with finishing one bands discography I get hooked on another couple and the cycle begins again.
  16. I've been toying with it for about a year, and decided to hit purchase over the weekend. The box the records comes in is really well done, and the book upon a quick glance is very detailed. I respect the choice but they have so much that wouldn't make it onto the Hits albums and their early deep cuts are amazing.
  17. I have acquired the Queen coloured Vinyl box set, playing the first album now, the sound is pretty good, and the packaging is amazing.
  18. Forbidden did at one point I believe get a vinyl release.
  19. Tony Martin is my second favourite Sabbath singer behind Dio. Amazing albums, even Forbidden has its moments.
  20. I didn't dive into a lot of new music in 2020, but I did discover "new" music to me. Actually new in 2020: Ozzy Osbroune - Ordinary Man [The title track is my favourite track by him... including Sabbath] Halestorm - Vicious Stripped and ReImagined AC/DC - Power Up Deep Purple - Whoosh! Sons Of Apollo - MMXX Purchased but unlistened Blue Oyster Cult - The Symbol Remains Bon Jovi - Bon Jovi: 2020 Discovered in 2020 Yes - Close To The Edge Yes - Relayer Yes - Going For The One Nightwish - Once Dream Theater - Black Clouds And Silver Linings Black Sabbath - Headless Cross Helloween - Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II Dream Theater - A Dramatic Turn Of Events Iced Earth - Alive In Athens Crimson Glory - Transcendence I really only discovered all of these bands barring Black Sabbath in the tail end of 2019 and afterwards. Of them Crimson Glory was the one I was most familliar with having heard their debut a few times. Phenomenal bands some of which I'm still looking into.
  21. So a somewhat local record store posted they had Whitesnake's Lovehunter so I had an impromptu shop and picked up some absolute gems! Whitesnake - Lovehunter Michael Schenker Group - Assault Attack UFO - Lights Out Yes - Going For The One Black Sabbath - Seventh Star Black Sabbath - The Eternal Idol A great way to kick off 2021
  22. My dad gave me his records a little over 3 years ago when I really started getting into vinyl, his was a combination of his and his sister's. From his taste there was Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Pink Floyd, among others. While his sister's was purely from the 60s and earlier, mostly Beatles and their individual side projects. Although I was surprised by finding a very well taken care of copy of Live After Death by Iron Maiden, another nice surpise was Screaming For Vengeance and British Steel which I suspect were my moms since she was the Priest fan when they were big.
  23. An hour and a half to 2 hour show with hits being rotated in and out of the set would be ideal, I loved the 3 hour shows because I got to hear a ton of music and I don't mind how Axl sounded in 2017. Even reformatting certain tougher songs that have to be done could be cool, like why not an acoustic rendition of Sweet Child O Mine yes it isn't what you want to hear but you still hear it, like The Who did for Won't Get Fooled Again on their latest tour. Although I don't see Rocket Queen getting dropped, nor YCBM. I feel Estranged could be alternated with November Rain as their big ballad of the night or something like they did with Don't Cry and Patience.
