Not really following your logic here, Lady Gaga sang on a blues song on Rolling Stones new album aswell, what does it matter..?
I'd say that was more gospel

Scandinavian rock music is still great - particularly norwegian.
Has its own style. So much better than US or UK in my opinion.
The good the bad and the zugly, gluecifer, combos, blood command, silver, turbonegro, barren womb, bokassa (first album), flash house, magick touch, nude pube banglers, shevils.

I feel like I need to apologise to CD fans who have been going on about Slash ruining solos that they love......
He just ruined a solo that i love

It sounds fake to me but I actually quite like the song!

I really think that thye could have made an Ok album out of the 2 they released this year if they condensed it in to 1.
Way too much filler.
I quite liked a lot of UL but not much on ROTDC grabs me to be honest.
I thought the getaway was a much better album than both of the new John albums.
Also saw them live with Josh and he was fantastic.

That could ease the public into the new band, and they would be more receptive to a second single like SOD or Madagascar. But because Axl does everything ass backwards, he releases OMG as the first taste, and CD as the first actual single. Both radical departures from the old style and neither having a catchy chorus (or arguably any at all).
IRS sucks a bit though....

I'm equally an AC/DC and GNR fan (don't care about Metallica) and I would never compare Black Ice to CD. Black Ice had some interesting ideas, but only a few fully realized songs. Rock N Roll Train is one of the worst songs they've ever done. But it's stupid and simplistic with a big chanting chorus, and it was the lead single after a long hiatus, so of course it was successful. It's also exactly what people expected from AC/DC. CD was never trying to be a mainstream hit and serve up that low hanging fruit.
Money Made should have been the lead single, that was the best song by a mile.
The first single should have been "Whats that? Look out! Dog on the Road!"

I have been a fan since 1952 and I think its the best song I've heard since Bill Halley and the comets Rock around the clock.

It sounds like he pressed the demo button on his 1995 casio keyboard and then decided to sing some burt bacharach style karaoke over the top.
I'm desperate for new gnr songs but not this desperate.

A-sharp or D-sharp? This same thing you're doing is used in the second chord (with the root in D) on Monster's verse.
I think Slash plays something else in The General chorus, but I couldn't figure out exactly what that was. It sounds a bit dissonant, almost like Patience when Izzy is playing E major while Slash plays E minor.
D sharp sorry 😩
There's definitely something going on there I agree.

Great stuff. It takes a lot of work to do those tabs and have it synched with the song and video.
Just a heads up: the chorus chords should be played with the low E string also to make it heavier, it's not just those power chords.
I've been playing the A-sharp chord in the chorus with d string on the 9th fret rather than 8th.
Not because i necessarily have any strong belief it was correct that way.
I just started that way when i first played it (just from my head - not listening closely) and i kind of like the way it sounds. Just adds a bit interest in a simple way.

I simply refuse to believe that anyone could seriously think the released version of Hard Skool is in any way better than the demo lol
I prefer it - you've got a pretty limited way of thinking there!

I can't remember Slash being as into performing a song as we saw with the general! I loved it.
I thought Axl sounded great.
Is slash playing with his guitar slung lower this tour like it used to be?
He definitely had it up higher for a while.
Oh God - I used to make fun of people who asked weird questions like this....
-
Lot more people saying:
"I was right it is 2 songs!"
Than saying:
"I was wrong its not buckethead"
Funny that....

Is this Slash on Monsters and The General?
These are some wild Chinese-era sounds. What was Axl doing? Wish he had shared this stuff in the prime CD years.
The General definitely disappoints. Not the “super heavy” song Sebastian Bach described
Ever give any thought to the fact "super heavy" may describe the song lyrically not musically?

I don't get why it's such a big deal. It's not like there hasn't been cheesy stuff on GN'R songs before. "Cool ranch dressing", for example - I haven't seen many people being so put off by that.
How about Axl going "ph ph ph ph ph ooooh yeah aaaaaaaahhhh" at the start of So Fine.
It's more pornographic than Rocket Queen!

When a song comes out that's one long track comprised of these two songs edited together, then I'll consider it a single song.
Until that happens, they are clearly two separate songs.
Is it "heavy-handed" to point out when people are being stubborn dumbasses about it cause they simply want to believe SOOO bad? They NEEEED an "EPIC" like Estranged or Coma or else their lives will just feel incomplete or something?
Rocket Queen isn't two songs. November Rain isn't two songs. The two tracks we got on Friday are two songs.
Playing two songs back to back doesn't make it one song. These are two songs. Who gives a fuck why it said "General and Monsters" on some legal document? Most likely that was some kind of careless error on Fernando's part.
There is no "evidence for both sides."
Here's the only fucking evidence we have: someone leaked TWO SONGS on Friday. TWO SONGS. We don't even know the official titles of the songs. Guns N' Roses, as always, has told us NOTHING.
Right now we are in possession of TWO "new" GNR songs. That's all we know. That's not my opinion, that's a cold hard fact.
Fuck. Whenever anyone uses a little logic, reason, and common sense around here, they inevitably get attacked by a collection of morons.
Whatever. Enjoy your fucking "singular sonic journey made up of two compositions" you imbeciles.
Yeah I honestly have no idea why anyone would accuse you of being heavy handed with your comments and opinions.
You seem very level headed and full of self awareness to me....

Would love it if Slash shares some more moments with Richard on future material....the guy is so clean and smooth, he's earned some more solo spots on new material! Too talented...
🎸🔥🔥🔥
There was nothing in that solo that I ever want to hear again - just give me Slash.

The first time You Hear a song what makes You like it is the music not the lyrics. None of My musicians Friends liked it. They hate Axl's vocals effects. They did like monsters tough. And Perhaps/Hardskool. Absurd don't
Oh well if you're "musician friends" don't like it then why are we even bothering

Surely it's going to be called The General n'f'n' monsters...
Can this band get anything right?!?

If they're gonna try to recapture the classic sound on future material, then it should be Lies, not AFD. Wichita Lineman has been one of their best live songs for years, stick Axl, Slash, Duff and Richard in a room with some acoustic guitars and you'll probably get some good songs. I'd rather hear them do a covers album of their classic rock influences (Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper, etc) than attempt a new 10-12 song album of rockers.
That said, I hope we eventually get to hear more 'experimental' stuff like TG, Monsters, SOG, etc.
I've been saying that about Lies for ages!
Would be amazing.
