I know it's old news to have a go at RHCP lyrics but I've got to ask about this one in tippa my tongue:
'the sexy art of continence'
I agree Anthony - nothing sexier than not shitting your pants....

Tough to pick up from my cryptic message but my point was that the average male height in The Netherlands is 183.78cm.

6'3 is 190 cm to be precise.
I'm from one of the tallest nations in the world. (if not the tallest nation)
I realize in most other countries 6'3 is considered tall, but here it's just not. I can't help that. This is a stupid discussion because you guys don't live in my county, so you wouldn't know. The Netherlands is the tallest country in the world with an average male height of 183.78cm.

that weirdo with a KFC bucket on his head is probably in the top 1% of guitar players in the world in his style. Axl didn't "let him into the band" he bascially courted him musically to join Gn'R when Bucket wasn't even interested. It's the opposite of letting him into the band. Bucket let Axl hire him and even that was possible cause Bucket was under the impression it was going to be more of the Axl and Bucket show according to Brain I think it was.
That may be true but he is still a weirdo with a KFC bucket on his head....

Yeah this sounds like a terrible idea.
It's in poor taste considering how the relationship between dimebag/Vince and Phil was.
It's disrespectful and opportunistic.

I honestly find Axl's singing on this comical.
It's like an Axl impersonator doing all the cliches. Yeeeeaaaaaauuuuuhhhhh! Of my gaaaayyuuuuumm.
It's like that Nancy Vandal song 'when i squeeze my nose i sound like axl rose yeeeeeaaaaaauuuuuhhhhh!

It's only natural
Whatchu Thinkin
Bastards of light
White braids and pillow chair
She's a lover
Nerve Flip
Pretty Good Songs
Black summer
Aquatic mouth dance
The heavy wing
Alright Songs
Tangelo
The great apes
Let em cry
Poster child
Not so good
Veronica

On another note I feel as though JFs guitar style has changed from a strong, muscular style to an almost apologetic style.

They'll probably be lyrics relevant to the time when the songs were written - so watergate and that type of thing.

WTF is this??
This site is really running low on options.
A poll on what the lyrics of a non-existant album are going to be about!!
Lets have a poll on who Axl will thank in the liner notes.
Or whether song 3 will be better than the song 5.
How many pages will the booklet be?
How many words will in the title?

Whatchu Thinkin is probably my favorite song on the album, albeit with a dissapointing guitar solo. Anthonys vocal melody sounds fantastic all over.
The verse melody on The Heavy Wing is great as well. Chorus is great
The album definitely picks up after the first 5 songs. The first 5 songs seemed like they were just kinda jamming for the sake of jamming.
Whatchu thinkin is my favourite too. The guitar line line in the chorus is beautiful.
I also agree the best songs are in the middle of the album - although i am a big fan of here everafter.

Did you really like this thing?
I think its a muture album with beautiful melodies.
Much more laid back and a really happy feel to it.
It sounds to me like they had a great time making it.
I felt that JF took over stadium arcadium too much at times.
I'm very glad he has cut back on the falsetto backing vocals - he went way overboard with that on SA.
I like the more stripped back sound they've gone with - closer in feel to Californication at times than anything else they've done.
Of course there's songs I don't love (it's not a perfect album!) but overall I'm enjoying the feel of it.

Ranking all the songs since Stadium Arcadium. There's a HUGE quality drop from Stadium Arcadium to I'm With You and from The Getaway to Unlimited Love, IMO. There's just an abyss between John's two albums in terms of quality.

Yeah I hope they at least still play Dark Necessities. Guess we will find out come June. And yeah I’m pretty sure the kid in the video was an allusion to Josh.
Looks just like John when he was younger.
Josh always looked as though he was trying to look like John when he was younger so who knows!

Is this the first time he's sung a lead part on an album track? I know he does a tonne of backing vocals, but I don't recall him ever doing a lead vocal on a RHCP track before.
Knock me down is pretty much John on lead for the whole song due to dodgy mixing.

Having my first listen. Sounds really good.
Sounds like they had a lot of fun making it.
Such a relief - poster child and not the one are the two worst songs in my opinion.
Seems to have been written with no thought of writing a hit - just writing some cool songs.
Interesting song structures and different sounds.
Looking forward to giving it a few more listens.
Bastards of light is my early favourite.

I totally agree with you on your assessment of the new material with John. It’s so disappointing. Frusciante is a virtuoso. I expected so much more. DK6 where do you see comments on the new songs?
just YouTube and that sort of thing.

I'm in a bit of shock about the quality of these songs to be honest.
They were heading in a really interesting direction with Josh.
The Getaway b-sides are both quite a bit more interesting than these songs.
Black summer is pretty good - nothing groundbreaking.
Poster child - cringeworthy
Not the one - completely forgettable with no distinguishing feature to it whatsoever.
The most enjoyable thing about these 3 songs is reading the comments from the diehard Frusciante fans - he could amplify his own farts and they would say it's genius!
I've always been a big Frusciante fan myself but you have to be honest about things - poster child and not the one suck arse!

At least SMKC doesn't make joke music like the Darkness.
Some SMKC songs definitely make me laugh though.....

Thank God we have Myles so that we can hear those tracks. I love Axl, but he hasn't had an original idea lyrically that didn't involve getting dumped by someone (Slash/Stephanie/basically everyone outside of team Brazil) in almost 30 years now.
What about the bedouins?!?
