  1. Yeah, I guess. To be honest I'd rather have another experimental Steven Tyler-solo record. His country album was really good and I'd love to see what he could come up with if he wouldn't focus on a single genre. I just need to hear that voice again, man.
  2. Steven Tyler sounded ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE on Dolly Parton's most recent album. I'm a bit sad we don't get to hear him on any records anymore.
  3. GNR has a very small catalogue, so there's not much choice besides the playlist we already have, is there?
  4. Also got tickets for Hannover, very excited. I don't expect them to be on the level they were at 10 years ago, but PowerTrip was good enough for me. Can't wait!
  5. It baffles me aswell. New songs are awesome and all, especially Perhaps. But if you exclude that, it's still the same 4 albums for years and years. I'm not trying to shit on the band. I love them. But to me it feels like we're growing apart, as weird as that sounds. I stopped hoping for an album, I stopped checking the news and the setlists. I much rather listen to other stuff, like the idk 15 AC/DC albums that all sound the same (in the best way possible) excite me so much more.
  6. I love GNR, but man. Over the past couple of months I really stopped caring. I wouldn't even say they're my favorite band anymore - not even Top 5. And this is different than usually. To me this band just feels like a dead horse (pun intended) and I'm really not holding my breath for anything they do anymore.
  7. Am I just remembering it wrong, or were the vocal effects worse on the leaks? Not trying to make any excuses, just haven't listened to them since they came out and I remember hating The General because of this. But now with the release it doesn't seem too bad?
  8. Anything but a deal. If he is innocent he has to go to court. Making a deal ruined Michael Jackson's entire life, he even said himself that his biggest regret was not going to court in the 90s. It just makes you look guilty as fuck. He has to fight it if he is truly innocent.
  9. Also, Axl was a piece of shit back then and I can imagine him doing many bad things. For what it's worth, I could never imagine him being a rapist. I don't know him personally, but I'm pretty good at reading people. (Ellen and Chrissy Teigen are some of my success stories) Axl IMO is much too soft, gentle and hurt to be a rapist.
  10. Look, I'm all for justice. But be Michael Jackson, Steven Tyler or Axl Rose: coming out with this shit 30+ years later is utter bullshit. There should really be a limit for this to avoid cashgrabs and false accusations.
  11. I'm not a fan of The Darkness or Justin Hawkins, but my god people you have to be the whiniest bitches out there. "Why should we care about his opinion?" If you don't, just shut the fuck up. Reaction videos aren't even half as bad. Yes, they are low-effort. But so are GNR single releases. I don't even know why I'm being so fueled about this, but it just really pissed me off what a bunch of ridiculous people are roaming this forum.
  12. The General live was SOOOO MUCH better than the studio version. Those vocal effects ruin the song.
  13. I thought The General would be something like TWAT or Sorry, I don't know what this is but it's not what I expected. I don't like it. After the second listen, I do think Monsters is growing in me. Especially towards the end it gets really good.
  14. Ehm, damn. I gotta be honest, these songs are growers. After the first listen I found them both to be pretty bad. The entire vocal mixing kills it and the instrumentals, while very clear, are just lumbering along.
  15. Off-topic: I absolutely love The Struts, can't wait for their new album! My favorite of the more modern bands.
  16. Did I miss something, or were the 60 pages since Sunday just for this fake cover? After all, this is GNR and MyGNR we're talking about
  17. You're right, Brian sounded really good on everything that wasn't from Back in Black. Maybe he would need a couple of more shows to get his voice warmed up. While it overall seemed to be a great show, but I don't see them touring tbh. At least not a 50+ date world tour. I'd love a final farewell, but not sure. I am sure however that the band will announce plans soon if they have any. Would be a bit random to just play this festival after their hiatus and then not do anything else.
  18. As long as they tune down, he shouldn't have a problem. The voice is still there, he's just been struggling with the really high stuff. Usually when he does guest spots they play it like it is on the album and he can't keep up with that. I'm sure the band has been rehearsing and found a way for Brian to go through the songs without struggling.
  19. I gotta say, I couldn't give a pigs arse about GNR this weekend. AC/DC is where it's at. Would love for Axl to join them on stage, but I don't think it will happen. I doubt there's any bad blood between Axl and Brian, but I don't see them sharing the stage.
  20. I think people underestimate how much it takes to film such a thing. Nearly all concerts by modern artists are filmed, but never professionally. It's mostly the feed that then goes up on the big screen. That's also where the NITL selects come from and it's honestly not as enjoyable to watch for 2 - 3 hours. To really record a whole concert movie, that's a completely different thing. You have to get a different crew, different cameras, different angles - and I doubt they did that in 2016.
  21. Honestly, I could dig that as an album title. That being said, not going to happen and probably not intended for that.
