Personally if I was Axl I would be mortified at writing my own biography.
He would have to address so much pompous bullshit he did in the 90s.

    it would be embarrassing.

I agree.  but I'd love to hear his side of the Cobain thing and what was going  through his mind when he found out Kurt died. which is also around the same time Duffs pancreas exploded....

can you remember if Axl Rose told the crowd to take a step back. The speech of Axl after "Mr. Brownstone Live Era Version" ?

It's unknown where the speech came from. But the "probably a year or so", (Omaha 1993) and "step back" (Live Era with a layer fake crowd over the speech and real crowd) sounds similare... atleast in my subjective opinion and ears

I know this sounds crazy, but I swear I remember reading that the "take a step back" thing was actually recorded in the studio.  I'll see if I can find the article.

It depends. Maybe if the Indiana Fever make the final he could play and it would be more low-key than if say the Los Angeles Spark or the New York Liberty are there. A bit less media.

I also just spoke to my source and he is actually a massive WNBA fan. Like massive. It's apparently all he talks about backstage. They pass out WNBA talking points to the workers as part of the rider so that when Axl says "That was a crazy layup in the Dallas Wings game last night" the worker who was instructed not to look him in the eye knows enough to say something like "Yeah, I really thought Kalani Brown had a great game".

is this serious?  Like, on all ends?  no disrespect, but I've never heard of anyone being a big WNBA fan.  and workers can't look him in the eye.

let's be honest, Super Bowl would have been good in 2004.  not now.  we are more likely to see Axl as the next star of "the Bachelor" than halftime of anything these days.

  4. afd5 at this point would be for the hardcore fans.

so If I were them I'd book a theater in Los Angeles, charge 2500 per ticket, no Pyro, minimal screens.  then I'd have a profession camera company come in and do a paper view event for the hardcore fans all over the world. they could probably charge 100 or 200 bucks for that.

one and done show.  they'd be happy to make a ton of money (with minimal overhead) and the hardcore fans could be happy all over the world.  No having to rely on Izzy or Adler to make it thru a whole tour.  just one night.

donating the proceeds to charity would be a very cool thing to do, but I don't see gnr doing that.

  5. I'm cool with letting Ozzy be retired or whatever his current status is. that's his business and I'm happy if he's happy.

but what pisses me off is how GNR is such an fan UNfriendly band. and I put Izzy at the absolute throne of that statement.  Guy doesn't interact with fans on social media.  Ducks autograph requests.  Has any fan even taken a photo with the guy in the last 25 years???

Does anyone remember that Izzy film one of the forum members created a year or two and tried to get it to Izzy?  No luck there.  Or how about that fan petition. asking Izzy to play a set (even online)?   Izzy didn't even acknowledge it.  I find it hard to believe he didn't know about either considering I accidentally stumbled upon both while sitting on the toilet and he had multiple people reaching out to him.

He doesn't want to be bothered, then fine. But he needs to keep in mind that royalty money is still coming in because of GNR fans.  Would be nice to get some kind of occasional acknowledgement once in a while.

  6. I'd be surprised if Axl went on JRE just for fun (ie not promoting anything).

he went on Kimmel to promote the Vegas residency and was stiff as a board.  if I recall correctly that Vegas residency wasn't selling well.

maybe he will go on before the next boxset gets released. but my guess is he will never go on.

Totally agree with that and hope Slash’s just focusing on the guitar. It's sad to see Slash being emotionless and kinda ignoring Axl. Duff and Axl or even Richard and Axl seem more interactive on stage.

I agree as well.  but when you look at other singers Slash has performed with, he's usually not that interactive when they come over to him (Myles, Scott).   So I don't think it's anything anything against Axl necessarily, Slash is just doing his thing.  Slash is more of an introvert so I don't think we will get much more out of him on stage with or without Axl.  Sober, anyway.

It’s easy to understand. 99% of them earn their money from hard work and don’t appreciate others profiting off of they’re hard work by doing absolutely nothing. People don’t go to venues to see the venue. They go to the venue to see the artist. The venue makes money off the artists performing there. Artists have been getting screwed by promoters, producers, managers and ticket agencies since the beginning. There’s nothing wrong with an artist asking for profits from whatever is being sold at the venue due to them being there in the first place. You can blame the promoters for tickets costing in come cases thousands of dollars a seat. They are doing everything they can to exploit popular acts and make as much money off of them as possible.

That’s great. Ask him if he would like my Zelle information.

agreed.  and don't forget about bands getting absolutely zero percent of the knock off merch sales outside the stadium.

and if that rumor about getting the booze sales is true, then that's probably why they play some many CD songs in their sets.  lol.  I swear every show I've been to, as soonas a cd song would come on people would race to the concessions stands.

  9. it's just going to be GNR touring then Slash and Duff tour with their bands.  Repeat.

so many missed business opportunities for GNR.  no new songs.   no releasing the uyi tour videos on netflix or even on nightrain (where members can pay a monthly subscription fee for unreleased shows, songs, videos of Axls cats, etc) .  No writing one new tune with the AFD5 with proceeds going to charity.  No Paul Huge interview on Eddie Trunk.

just more touring and more mickey.  Maybe Axl makes a new celebrity friend and we will have the Will Smith join GNR on stage for paradise city, which then will follow with GNR covering "gettin jiggy with it" for the next 7 legs of the tour.

if we are lucky Dizzy leaves his basement unlocked and a cleaning lady releases the 417 CDs he's got of unreleased music.

  10. I always thought Axl could do a good job on "Dirty little thing", but maybe it's kind of like Perfect crime where it's too many words and he'd be out of breath so it mighy be too hard to sing live.

always wondered what Axl would sound like on Anastasia... but it's also cool if I never hear it.

No. You are completely making up a reality that does not exist, per Slash's own words. He clearly and plainly stated they have not wrote or worked on ANY NEW MUSIC. I've already had to say this about a dozen times today alone. Why is that such a hard fact to grasp?

you are 100% correct.  as recently as October 2021 slash said they have NOT written anything new and were just reworking some of Axls old songs.  this was after Absurd and Hardschool came out.  and we haven't heard any (new) reworked songs come out since this interview, so why would they dump those and all of a sudden release music that they wrote in 2022/23?

we are getting CD leftovers for the foreseeable future.

here's a link if anyone needs it.   like it or not 2020 intentions is more than likely correct.

  12. Hellrose Place.  let's see.  it can't be anything music related bc, well Axl doesn't release.that kind of stuff.

I'm guessing it's a traveling haunted house.  filled with hot chicks.  who are super annoying and bitchy.  the scary part is that doors stay locked and you can't get out until GNR releases a new album.......  YOURE GONNA DIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!   LOL

This person called Glenn on celebheights has claimed to met Axl rose frequently.

    https://www.celebheights.com/s/Axl-Rose-1189-2.html
(Note: the site displays newest guesses first, so start from page 2, from the bottom, and move up, to read from oldest to newest)

The page also mentions people seeing Glenn's photos of Axl, but none of the images are showing up on the site. (I was trying to look at the Wayback machine to see if the photos were available, but unfortunately it appears this site is on an exclusion zone)

It's too long to copy and paste all of Glenn's responses and the people chatting to Glenn to put the responses in context.

Glenn's responses are around a few years before Chinese democracy released.

Some of Glenn's responses to get an idea of what kind of chat is going on:

he left 2 or 3 weeks ago.so before that.the album or albums were done awhile ago.mixing and mastering too.i was given the green light to air this info awhile ago too.i was initially afraid to invade his privacy or should i say recording privacy.the record company is holding it up this time and axl isnt to blame is what im told.he was here to record a song with steven tyler which im not clear on what it was for.and maybe a touch up with the bach song.the rest of the time was spent leisurely as he loves nyc. in his words "i live here now".of course one of a couple or few homes.

he left new york almost or exactly a month ago.he was here 6-8 weeks before that.long before the fires.im not sure whats going on with the cd.my educational guess, being im a music and industry expert,is that they are preparing a promotional campaign.trying to figure out best time to release, first single, track listing and order.and like i said, there was monetary issues involved.or to be settled.and he fired his management team over a year ago.so maybe he deciding what label to have it released on and have whole different team behind it.not sure.didnt really talk to him this trip.only his people.he can be moody.nothing new.usually a great guy.

Axl recorded a song with Steven Tyler??????
