  1. Just for context: after Axl messed up by saying the wrong city (quickly corrected himself though), he said he was pleasantly surprised about the crowds mild reaction despite him calling out the wrong city, and said he expected a lot more fuck yous. So yelling fuck you once as a reply to that is funny, but to keep on repeating it is just crossing a line. Have some respect
  2. My 2 cents on this show: it was absolutely amazing, this was the happiest / most excited I've felt this year . Love the energy these guys give off by just making music together. Axl seemed in a good mood and sounded as good as can be expected imo. The band did start 45 minutes late. After 30 minutes of waiting we saw a helicopter fly past and I joked to my friend "oh there comes Axl". And then the helicopter made a turn above the venue and started dropping altitude and eventually landed on the side of the field . At least we got the proper 90's experience with them starting late I guess. I purposefully didn't check setlists from previous shows or check the forum since the start of the tour, cause I feel that not knowing what comes next adds to the experience. So I was very pleasantly surprised when I heard Bad Obsession, PTU, Anything Goes and especially DOTF (my favourite song off spaghetti incident, only recently discovered it since I'd never given that album a chance). I did miss Sorum's tight drumming and machine gun snaredrum sound though. Only thing that bothered me was the slow tempo on the AFD songs. I know it's probably to give Axl some room to breathe, but WTTJ just sounded comically slow, almost as if I was listening to a rumba version of the song. You'd think they would be able to crank it up just a little. Also I miss the live McBob introductions. All in all a great show. When they announced the Euro tour I kinda had my doubts whether I should go or not, but I'm very glad I went.
  3. Iron Maiden is playing tonight at a different venue in NL and they announced before GN'R. I guess they draw kind of the same audience. GN'R have played here 3 times now, so all the casuals have already had a chance to see them. Also, a lot of people farther north in the country can't be bothered to drive this far south, especially since it's a working day. All things considered (), these are hopefully the right ingredients for an intimate 3,5 hour show with a good setlist . I haven't checked the setlist yet for the shows on this tour because I want to be surprised tonight. Something special about not knowing what songs they'll be playing or which song's coming up next
  4. An article in the local newspaper states that about 20k tickets have been sold. Quite a big contrast with the other shows on this tour, at least from what I've seen on social media
  5. Not a clue, but there was a full page ad in the newspaper a couple days ago promoting the show, so I feel they are pretty desperate to sell some more last minute tickets.
  6. For the Dutch people here who are planning to go last minute and haven't bought tickets yet: if you are a customer of Vodafone or Ziggo, you can buy the standard tickets through their Priority service for € 65 instead of €100. Not sure if I'm allowed to post links here so just Google it.
