Fun little idea I thought up. Let's say you want to introduce a friend to GnR who either hasn't ever heard any of their music, or only casually knows of the hits like Sweet Child, Jungle, Paradise City. Instead of tasking them with listening through a whole album, you put together an EP. What four songs would you have somebody listen to to give a good taste of the band? Mine would be: 1. Perfect Crime 2. It's So Easy 3. Yesterdays 4. Hair of the Dog

You would imagine wouldn't you? Unfortunately, I think the likelihood is these songs never were worked on beyond what we have. Those instrumental demos are some of the rawest shit I've ever heard. There is no way an album comprising these songs, in a complete and finished state, were not released to follow up ChiDem. I hope I'm wrong.

While I understand your point, I just simply cannot agree. Everything this band does, for a long time now, is extremely calculated. It's not coincidence that both pairs of songs were released during US legs. I'm not saying the attempt is to boost ticket sales, they know people only come to hear the hits. It's just a cheap gimmick to make it look like there's something new and exciting happening. That's it.

I think you're all kidding yourselves contemplating single release vs album release ... It's sooooooo so obvious that what they're doing is drip feeding us songs to add excitement to each new tour lol this has nothing to do with artistic / creative integrity

The same songs that would have made up this album are also not being received well outside a small core of diehards ... ??? It doesn't matter what way they chose to release them, the general public thinks these songs are garbage, and quite frankly, so do a lot of the diehards!

But those songs didn't take over 20 years to be released, and after the members that wrote and recorded the songs had long been out of the band. These songs being released now have more credence to be dubbed leftovers than songs like YCBM

The leftovers, and yes, they ARE, quite literally, leftovers, they've released so far, plus the one or two still to come (if any do), would not only be the shittiest GnR album, but a contender for shittiest album of ALL TIME

It's amazing how people here will measure the level of vagueness of comments regarding new music, as if there's some answer to this mystery we dont already have. Everything is happening exactly as Slash said it would. We are due one more batch of ChiDem leftovers, whether it's one or two more songs. They released the first batch during the '21 Tour, and then the second batch during the '23 tour. There's obviously a formula being followed here. The next US leg of a GnR tour will most likely be in '25 and we will see the next (and most likely final) one or two ChiDem leftovers released. We'll continue to get these "vague" comments from Slash and Duff regarding NEW music, all the while never having ANYTHING materialize. Keep holding on to Mayhue's AFD Part 2 comments though lol

Haven't listened to it again since the day it was officially released. I also don't listen to Absurd, Hardskool or Perhaps at all. When I am in the mood to hear Hardskool, I will listen to the old leak. I will never on purpose listen to the official version, and that goes for Absurd as well.

Doubt it's real but sounds pretty cool
