Would it kill Axl to appear in a music video not using compilations from live shows?
This.

Not necessarily merch-related, but I stopped spending money on GNR shows because of the high ticket prices and very similar setlist for years. I used to try to hit every show within a few hours of NJ, and sometimes even flew to see more.
Only recently has it peaked my interest again with all the setlist additions and previously unreleased music.

I remember radio stations playing the leaks back in like 2006. I don’t know what laws or whatever have changed in the last 17 years though.

Slash has pretty audible vocals on Dust N’ Bones, Attitude, and Buick Makane.

Anyone notice how there’s basically no footage of Melissa in these last two videos? Besides seeing her back once in the second video, you only see her in the ending bow both times. Even The Black Keys members got more screen time than her.
Just something I noticed.

Surely no-one can think the pre chorus and chorus vocals on The General are good? I'm pretty confident it's just a sound quality issue and the real thing will sound much sharper but the vocals in those bits are close to unlistenable to my ears
The vocals on both songs could definitely use some pitch correction, in my opinion.

I've never understood the these are old songs don't rework them argument, it's no different than any band member coming up with something on their own and then showing the rest of the band a few months later. Maybe they need to present the song in the most stripped back form to slash duff etc so they don't get stuck rerecording the same stuff with a similar solo
How is it “no different”? The songs are nearly 25 years old and have vocals and other instruments on them that were recorded back then.

Sure.
To this day I still prefer 'The Blues' (Boston, 2002) to any other rendition of 'Street Of Dreams', including the album version.
Did you ever listen to the locker leaks? The Blues on there is basically a studio version of that. My personal favorite.

Just saw this, from the perspective of Brain back in 2010:
-Are you out of the band? If so, did you get any official confirmation? Give us details about that.
Brian: i'm out of the currant touring band. i hope i can still be a part of the recordings!!!-In February 28, 2009, when asked if you were still in the band, Axl said "Last I checked. Brain works on several things with Guns either from his home or in the studio." How does that work?
Brian: i'm doing some top secret shit right now!!!!!!!!http://www.gnrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?pid=172599#p172599
I just don’t think it makes sense to go off this because it’s in regards to the state of the band literally 13 years ago.

As Axl said, GNR has two drummers.
How long ago did he say this?

Reasonable theory I'd say.
It's equally likely though that there was just no need to replace the drums.
Slash and Duff needed to be added, for publicity and authenticity and personal politics reasons......other than that, there maybe just wasn't a reason to re-do stuff that already sounded good?
This. The drums were recorded years ago and already sounded good. Having Frank re-record the song playing the same thing would be pointless. It’s not like they had Brain come in recently and record these drums parts.
If they actually decide to make a brand new song from scratch, Frank will record the drums.

I’m surprised Frank didn’t bother to do the drum-fill into the last chorus correctly.

Any song will grow on you if you actively listen to it enough.

Cause with NR he could sit behind a piano. With Kohd he would've have to stand there awkwardly
He could absolutely play that song on piano if he had to, just saying.

Bets on where Hard Skool will be in the set?

For those who haven’t heard yet, just imagine if Hard Skool was on Use Your Illusion 1.

I actually wonder what stations this will appear on. Octane? Boneyard? Liquid Metal?
Unfortunately I don’t think it’ll last long on any of them haha.

Can I ask a genuine question to you guys that attended, because I have tickets for shows coming up in a few months in Australia (possibly cancelled though). Is there any COVID requirements? Like do the band, or the event promoter or venue require everyone to be vaccinated and show proof of that? Any other COVID regulations at all?
Nothing.

The lengths that were gone through to avoid having to record any vocals. Instead of just writing a new chorus, let’s just copy and paste this one word from the end of the verse a bunch of times.

I mean, not literally. It took 20 years to see its final form and release. It probably took a handful of days to record haha.

Ever seen Duff’s version? It’s really beautifully done.
