So far, this has been the case with Absurd, Hard Skool, and Perhaps. They have Slash re-record superior leads as punishment to the fans, so we never get to hear the best versions of these songs.

The General, Cuban Skies, Soul Monster, Seven, Oklahoma, etc. have not leaked. So maybe they will keep the CD-era mixes of them.

Bet your ass, Atlas has been re-recorded since it has leaked in full. Damn it, the Bumblefoot OMG too leaked years ago, looks like we're getting Slash on that as well.  

Yeah, when Chinese Democracy was released, I had the clear impression that those were not the best songs. They were just the songs that had been leaked bt that time.

Later, look up for "Deliverance rides", a Metallica AI generated song. The lyrics are a mixture of words and terms you can identify in other of their songs.

Fun fact: Garden of eden was shot on the same day as Yesterdays, in the same warehouse. They just kinda used.the cameras that were already there. 

The thing that differs the most to me is that in the demo the song kinda explodes when it gets to the chorus, while in the official release it just continues the hard rock guitar riff of the verses. 

I don't know. The thing is that something recorded by that time might surface now. I think I read somewhere that they went to China or something to shoot a video for Catcher In The Rye. And remember: videos for It's So Easy and I Don't Care About You became public 30 years later. 

I wonder if there's any footage of the making of Chinese Democracy. It would be interesting to see that.

One thing I prefered in the leak was that the guitars and the song kinda exploded on the chorus. On the released version, the guitars remained tamed during all the song.

Minus the melodic intro, I prefer the demo.

Hope he gets better soon. I've never imagined him suffering with this kind of thing.

"The Chinese Incident" and "Chinese Lies" really would be interesting titles for an album right now.

Use Your Democracy

You know what song I think really would work as a closer? Doible talkin jive. The acoustic guitar outro would be a nice way to end the album.

I had no idea old school cartoons like Looney Tunes or Scooby-Doo are still being produced to this day. To me, it was all hyper crazy flash animation.

Could have been huge if CD was released in late 90s/early 2000s. But, by 2008, industrial wasn't a thing anymore and it souded dated already on the day of it's release.

For those who followed the evolution of some tracks, there was a clear de-industrialization to go back to a more straight foward rock sound. I particullary highlight the drums on the track Chinese Democracy. By 2000, it was very NIN and it seemed to change in the last minute before CD release.

IMO, Smile is, indeed, the best Beach Boys album of all and one of the best albums in general music. On the other hand, CD ia a hit and miss.

Normal, Abnormal and Little Brother Is Watching are the last albums by Bumblefoot, very GnR influenced. Argentina and I Don't Know Who To Pray To Anymore were supposed to be GnR songs and have the Use Your Illusion vibe all over them.

You do realize that songs like November Rain used synths, not a real orchestration, right?

But I agree with you about the production on CD.

I also read on Slash's book that the original November Rain was 18 minutes long and they had to cut it down to fit on the record. Boy, I would love to hear it the way it was intended to be.
