I had one of the worst days of my life yesterday, but still came here at 12:00 only to find out that Perhaps was finally released, but along a music video, and The General on vinyl. Crazy that it had such a happy ending...
Lol fuck the casuals, they just want generic rock and roll, that’s why the reception to HS was so good, if Anything Goes was never released but released in 2023 as a re-recorded demo they’d go crazy, again, fuck them.
Fuck i tuned in to that station and got chills when they said we've got a surprise for you, and it was a fucking diaper commercial that ruined the moment
Exactly, and if the lyrics are any close to what Evader deciphered, what a weird ass song to play live tbh, but yeah it'll be like finally hearing The Beatles "Carnival of Light", a relief for sure.
Yeah i can see that, but no fucking way anyone would be waiting here every Friday until 2026 for one fn song, the most realistic scenario in my mind if it's not out in two days, would be that we'll get Perhaps when GNR's own Xscape comes out in 2045.
If in an alternate universe "Perhaps" was actually a whole EP and not just a single, that means no The General for us, no way that shit is just gonna be a filler track on an EP
There’s no way they are giving up on tens of millions of dollars touring Europe and South America.
I bet that they’ll be back headlining festivals in 2025
...
The link is still leads to nowhere but the GNR page. So whatever countdown - pre save campaign they planned was also canned, likely.
They've pulled down the song from the jukeboxes. If the song is out by the 18th, what was the problem with leaving it? Nobody cares besides us.
And now we know through Reddit that they are treating this as a leak.
Does nobody see all of this as very bad signs regarding a Friday release? I don't think they are doing it to fuck with us, but whatever problem they had with the song has probably gotten way worse now. Them not acknowledging (at least) the existence of something coming out this weekend at tomorrow's show is gonna put the final nail in the coffin to this saga imo.
Somebody just slapped that "g n' f'n r's!" text into an existing art, if this was legit and that was part of the layers, it would: 1) match the perspective (instead it's just diagonally placed) 2): be affected in opacity by the shadow of the skeleton and 3) follow the shape of the rock structure or cliff or whatever that is.
Yeah just stay away from GNR reddit, it's literally the stupidest place to discuss the band.
The main problem is that the sub is literally comprised of kids sharing Axl drawings they did and school and casuals starting "Jungle vs SCOM" polls everyday, so i could make up a "The General" artwork right now similar to the Atlas one, then pretend to be an insider and they are gonna fall for it. So all you got is just endless trolling plus those stupid entitled mods.
I was just thinking the same, now that we know about the lower vocals, that playback part makes sense, no way he was going to let a backing track do all the job
