  1. https://blabbermouth.net/news/erik-gronwall-why-i-decided-to-leave-skid-row Erik has decided to leave Skid Row. "Yes, I have decided to leave SKID ROW. The main reason being that it's proved difficult to prioritize my health and full recovery as the lead singer of the band. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ "In 2021 I was undergoing treatment against leukemia and that gave me a superpower called perspective. I decided to use that perspective and write down the values I wanted to live by for the rest of my life. On top of that list it says 'health first'. ⠀⠀ "I've had to look at that list a lot of times this last year, questioning if I'm really living according to my values. At the end of the day I realized the answer was no. ⠀⠀⠀ "As a result of the treatments and transplant my immune system was impaired. You can think of my immune system as a 4 year old kid bringing home all kinds of viruses from preschool. It takes awhile to build up that resistance again but my immune system is getting stronger every day. However I'm still doing regular check ups (blood tests) at the hematology department in Sweden, which has proved challenging while keeping up with the SKID ROW schedule. I have way too much respect for my medical history to push myself to the limit.⠀⠀ "I love SKID ROW, I have nothing but respect for the guys in the band but I love and respect my health more. I understand that SKID ROW is a touring band but like I told the guys: 'if I can't prioritize my health, then I'm not the right guy for the job'.⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Please note, I'm NOT sick and it's not that I don't want to tour. I love being on the road. And of course we have tried to find the right balance together but at the end of the day I realized that it was better for me to step aside. ⠀ "So now I'm going to focus on my full recovery, and come back stronger than ever. Meanwhile I'm finalizing my biography. And I'm going to start writing my own music again. ⠀⠀⠀ "Lastly, once again thank you to everyone who accepted me as the singer of this iconic band. ⠀⠀⠀ "Always remember that no job, no money, no fame is worth your health or well being. Health first always. I owe this decision to the guy in the second picture [ in the post below] and I'm proud to be able to say that I kept my promise to him. Health first!"
  2. 130€ for 4LP version and 99€ for 4CD version where I pre-ordered.
  3. Probably not. Here's what Iommi said about the remix: “I was never happy with the guitar sound, and Cozy was definitely never happy with the drum sound… So, I thought it would be nice to do it for him in a way.” He adds, “I just felt that, without changing any of the songs, there was an opportunity to go back and bring out some of the sounds and make it more what people would expect Sabbath to sound like.” https://www.iommi.com/2024/03/anno-domini-1989-1995/
  4. Headless Cross' remastered music video. Uploaded on Iommi's own YouTube channel. Probably also has something to do with that original four deal.
  5. According to the Danish music store iMusic, BMG has set a May 31 release date for the "Anno Domini 1989-1995" box set of the Tony Martin-era BLACK SABBATH albums. The set contains newly remastered versions of "Headless Cross" (1989),"Tyr" (1990) and "Cross Purposes" (1994),plus a new version of "Forbidden" (1995) that guitarist Tony Iommi remixed specially for the collection. Several albums make their vinyl debut in the LP version of "Anno Domini", while the CD version contains three exclusive bonus tracks: the B-side "Cloak & Dagger" and the Japan-only releases "What's The Use" and "Loser Gets It All". A booklet comes with the set featuring photos, artwork, and liner notes by Hugh Gilmour. The collection also contains a "Headless Cross" poster and a replica concert book from the "Headless Cross" tour. "Anno Domini" picks up BLACK SABBATH's story in 1989, two decades and multiple lineup changes into the band's groundbreaking career as metal originators. At the time, membership had solidified around riffmaster and founding member Tony Iommi, legendary drummer Cozy Powell (JEFF BECK, RAINBOW, WHITESNAKE),singer Tony Martin and longtime BLACK SABBATH collaborator and keyboardist Geoff Nicholls (QUARTZ, BANDY LEGS). Included in the set: * "Headless Cross", "Tyr" and "Cross Purposes" newly remastered * "Forbidden" newly remixed by Tony Iommi * 1989 "Headless Cross" tour replica concert book * 40-page book with photos, artwork and new liner notes * Replica color tour poster Headless Cross / Anno Mundi released as single.
  6. In 2019 when the locker leak happened I think GNR could've done what Kiss did when bootleg copies of Carnival of Souls started circulating during their reunion tour. They just released the album officially. Didn't really promote it and never did play any of the songs live. But they were like here, you want these, pay us. Same with GnR. Release it officially, call it Chinese Democracy II: The Final Sessions or something like that. Done.
  7. Yeah WTTJ and SCOM Atmos mixes have been available for a while at streaming services. Besides Amazon Music, Tidal and Apple Music also has those. I think they were released when the remastered version of Appetite box set came, I think, and on the bluray there's Dolby HD and DTS HD 5.1 mixes of the album. I'm not the biggest fan of Atmos/360° mixes in general. I usually listened them once or twice and then end up listening the original stereo version instead. I like Atmos with movies but with music they seem bit gimmicky. More of an curiosity than the real deal.
  8. Deep Purple just released a new animated music video for Smoke On the Water. And according to the credits there's AI technician too. I think this kinda video would have worked better for The General too.
  9. Well he's not the one who's paying studio time for the Schenker record. Gotta save those bucks were you can 😅 Also if he had recorded new vocals for the new songs, I bet people here would probably say something like "Why didn't they just the demo vocals from tha leaks, those were perfectly fine and in fact superior! Only GnR!" 😄
  10. Yes it's Finnish and Estonian name. Basically Finnish version of the name Jeremiah or Jeremy. Here's some famous Jarmo's! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jarmo_(given_name)
  11. And? Even Axl doesn't get sole credit for November Rain or Estranged in a new UYI booklets. Still doesn't mean that he didn't wrote them.
  12. You know she mostly writes her songs solely by herself. There's more songwriters on "Chinese Democracy" than any of her records. Now back to listening to some "Folklore"!
