  1. I don't think he is lazy per say, I just think Axl is a complicated person. I don't believe he is a perfectionist either, I think the reason he doesn't release a lot of music has less to do with that and more to do with anxiety/insecurities.
  2. No, Axl should retire only when he is ready to and not because some fans are not happy with his current voice. Personally, I hope Axl/GNR keep going for years. As for Axl's decline, yes, it is there, but I look at it in a badge of honor kind of way. He has given amazing shows, has albums that will always go down in rock history, mended relationships and is no longer the joke of the rock world, there is still a lot to be happy for that outweighs the negativity imo. I would say that for any of the band, they have paid their dues and if they sound or play weaker it is not a big deal to me because they are already living legends that have given so much of themselves.
  3. I'm going to be honest, I had no clue what a music box was and I feel so dumb now but it is cute idea for a collectable
  4. It's always nice to see Axl out and about. I agree with a few others, his lower voice still sounds really good, and he looked good too
  5. I absolutely love Monsters, maybe I am just being too hopeful but if/when it gets official released, I think it would get a lot of positive feedback. The General was a little underwhelming, but as it's a deep and personal song for Axl I am not going to judge it too hard, I mostly just wish the mix would have been better.
  6. Axl has gotten quite a few online diagnoses over the years, and I'm not going to be hypocritical and act like I've never wondered or talked about it myself, but if it was something he wanted to be known he would say. I think quite a few things about him do fall under a neurodivergent umbrella, but whatever that could or could not be is his business only. He obviously operates differently than most people, but if what he is currently doing helps him than good for him.
  7. They really were, and what I never understood was people making fun of his weight and then complaining when he wore a lot of layers during that time. It was obvious the comments were getting to him, anyone would want to hide the way they looked after that. Slash seems to be the one getting the fat jokes now, I called it out on another site and got called a snowflake lol but I just don't like anyone being made fun of for how they look.
  8. That is some amazing detective work, great job! Do you think it means some things have been accessed recently by the band, or just where that documentary is being made?
  9. This is so funny to me, who in the world even made that cd I was gonna say maybe they mistook Axl for a woman but then you said there were other men as well, idk about people lol
  10. That is really sad, if it's true. I know the internet was brand new then and I have no idea if people trolling was a thing. I suppose they could have been, but the responses to that message seemed to think it was him. But with as private as Axl is, I'm not sure his brother would be telling that kind of stuff. It's a bit out of pocket to share that kind of information around if the person/people it's happened to haven't said anything first imo but everyone's family is different
  11. That is the first I am hearing about this story, that was a very kind thing for him to do. I'm a fan of Jessica Chastain's and had no clue she had a connection to the band at all
  12. I'm curious what Axl's thoughts on Matt are as of now, I've heard several times that he is the reason that Matt was not in the reunion because Axl doesn't like him, but is there anything solid that shows that? I thought the last time they spoke they were on decent terms, other than the uncensored version of Matt's book that we never got a comment on. Obviously Frank was going nowhere, but if Axl was willing for Steven to play some, I don't think it's that far fetched that Matt could have been asked in that same capacity, and I'm not sure I buy he was asked for an unpaid position for a couple of songs. What are Slash and Duff's thoughts on him, it seems he caused some friction in VR too and that they wanted as little to do with him as Axl. I think his not being included was a unanimous group decision, and for all we know was the right one to make. I like his work and don't have strong feelings either way and he has a right to complain/vent, but it doesn't help his case any. That being said, I wish he would leave Carrie Underwood out of the drama fest that is the band lol, she's too nice to be dragged into this and he's coming across as very bitter towards Slash that is rivaling Axl from back in the day if that's possible
  13. Good interview! Bernard seems like a nice, chill guy. I did laugh about him getting a fan's account and Izzy's account mixed up about who posted the picture first in the article I wonder what Izzy has been writing, it would be awesome to have him and Bernard on a song together. I like how he talks about being a team player, I think a lot of band's forget just how important that is. Touched my heart a bit too about him speaking with Axl who was sitting off by himself at that soundcheck. Good stuff!
