  1. What's funny is I got the complete opposite view of Axl from Slash, Steven, and Duff's autobiographies, and other stories as well from Izzy. The impression I got was that Axl didn't have a lot of game lol the supermodel thing I get though. That's any ego of any rockstar, and I think a lot of them are scouted out not just by Axl's camp but by the promotors of shows as well to keep up that image of attractive women wanting to go to their shows like a lot of bands did and do
  2. First impression of Axl, I was maybe about 10. I'd technically heard their music for my whole life up until that point, my mom is a massive fan, but I was into country at the time and never paid attention to what she played. I was going through her stuff, bored and found Axl's Rolling Stone magazine she'd saved from the 90s and I was in love after that I listened to everything of hers, starting with Appetite for Destruction and was just blown away after really listening for the first time. Especially Mr. Brownstone, I didn't believe her when she told me it was the same singer, and I was so impressed with the different registers he could use for his voice. I never looked back, he has remained my favorite singer and band since then and that was 17 years ago now. Got me in trouble at school quite a bit too for wearing their merch and listening to their music. First baby act of rebellion was refusing to turn a skull logo shirt of theirs inside out and got sent home, good times lol
  3. I would be upset if they broke up again, I haven't had the chance to see them in concert yet and I finally have a vehicle and the money to go when they start touring again, so don't you all put that bad juju out there just yet! They can break up after I see them if they want lol, I maybe in the minority here, but I'd rather take a book over any interview. Axl doesn't do well in interviews, it wouldn't matter to me how long or how long winded the book would be, it would be read within a day
  4. I know nothing when it comes to legal things, is that a meeting between the lawyers or is this to determine the next step in the case?
  5. I could be totally wrong, but I think they also so books or do it periodically. I was looking and it seems like they teamed up with Bono in 2022 for his book tour, unless I just misunderstood the article
  6. I was wondering the same thing, it's the first I've heard it
  7. I am very interested in what this could be, hopefully it means Axl will be using his down time productively
  8. For me, the oddest thing is the bandaids. I know most men Axl's age don't need/want a mother hanging around, but I have no idea what goes through Axl's head. Everyone knows he's not exactly been mentally healthy, so if that's what he needs to get through his day I'm not going to judge for that. I don't hate Beta either, but I do think she saw her goldmine back in the 90's and isn't letting go one bit, she seems affectionate as well, but I wonder if the money wasn't there would she still be doing what she does for him? I had a good laugh about the umbrella, but the bandaids, whoever is doing that seriously please stop it lol
  9. I totally get that, what I was mentioning was not the fact that people couldn't retire at 65 for financial reasons , but that we have some people who would like to remove the legal retirement age from 65 in my area to not having one at all if they had their way
  10. I haven't got to hear that particular rant myself, but I'll give props to Axl, even during his divaish manic moments he had a good eye for spotting trends and future events. I know not everyone here is from the US, but there are some folks who believe the retirement age at 65 is "weak" and no one should be retiring at that age. If those people get their way, we may very well be working until we are all 80
  11. EWW! Axl no, stop doing that I would honest to God rather take a microphone to the face then take home a bloody bandaid
  12. That is... I don't even have words. Who, in their right mind would make a used bandaid bracelet and wear it?? I honestly gagged at that. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt those are even Axl's. Has anyone actually seen him toss his used bandaids into the crowd? I feel like he is too clean to do that
  13. Loved it! I'm a huge Chris fan and he and Slash sounded great together, I can't wait for the rest of it to come out. I keep hoping the one with Beth Hart would be released as a single too but it looks like I'm going to have to wait
  14. Happy birthday Izzy! Still holding out hope you'll be back someday
  15. So amazing to finally see this, if only they would release all the footage they have, but a huge thanks to the one who uploaded it
  16. I'm excited! Any word on when it could be released if it is?
  17. Idk why, but I've always wanted to hear a collab with Bob Seger. Now if we're talking about past artists who are no longer with us too, a Janis Joplin/Axl duet would have been amazing
  18. I wonder what made him do that now? Maybe it was the gas station pic, a lot of people were making fun of it, but I thought he looked fine
  19. It is very normal for our brains to process trauma differently, we're under stress and not registering things fully as they happen. I'm not blaming these women for that, because I don't think that is an excuse they can even use. Little Michelle is saying things that could not even have happened, if she was so pregnant to the point she had a noticeable belly that Slash was able to see outside the bar, and she miscarried in the bathroom, there is no way she would have been able to just get up and go back out to the bar. I don't want to be graphic, but there would be blood everywhere, she would be in pain, and not to mention what happened to the miscarried baby? Her details about what happened in the storage unit were not concise, and she was refusing to answer questions about it back in that thread, which was weird on her part for someone who wanted to get her story out as she said she did. Why not answer questions then? Why dodge them? Everything I've seen from what she's said does not make sense, at all. I am being rational, I don't care who I am a fan of, if they are accused as something like rape, and there is evidence against them to prove it, I'm siding with the victim. But she's not provided anything to prove her side, except a lot of stories that don't even fit her timeline of happening. I feel sorry for her, but I don't believe her.
  20. Good to see him! He looks better than I do when I run down to my gas station late at night, those poor people have seen me look my worst
  21. And with Trump, there is audio evidence of it. "Grab 'em by the pussy." So gross and embarrassing a U.S president said that and it was caught on tape, along with literally everything else you can find about him with credible evidence. If Raz is so against abusers as he says he is, he needs to take a look in the mirror and sort of some issues of his own first and who he is supporting, because he sounds like a giant hypocrite.
  22. @Scream of the Butterfly Duff brought up Trump's comments because Trump is literally insane lol, and there is video and audio evidence of what a scumbag he is. If there were video and audio evidence of Axl behaving this way, then he'd be on my scumbag list as well, but there isn't, it's a lot of he said, she said. Now, of course there are predators in the music industry, but as I am not a huge follower of the other people mentioned and have no clue about them, I can't say whether they are guilty or not unless I had their case information. I'm not trying to say Axl was some gentleman, he wasn't, none of them were. They acted like cavemen where women were concerned. I think everyone can say he had Erin had an abusive, toxic relationship and if this were something she was talking about, I'd be more likely to believe her. Stephanie I'm not so sure, she only sued him for DV after he sued her first for retaliation. I'd like to learn more about the Chicago girl and what happened there, was this a case of someone trying to be mean and abuse a girl, or was this a BPD or bipolar episode where everyone got kicked out of the apartment? I don't enough about that to make a judgement either. So far, Sheila and Little Michelle come across as liars, I know it's popular to make Axl out to be this cartoonishly evil villain, but I'm not placing blame on him for two things that sound like absolute lies. Their owns words are against them. Do I believe that Slash was picking up and twirling this girl in front of a bar, noticing a pregnant belly and being concerned about it? No, that sounds like some self-insert fanfic on Tumblr. Do I believe she miscarried in the bathroom two seconds after this, was able to clean herself up, got propped up by the band and sang Don't Cry to? No. Do I believe Axl at 23 would have been wanting to settle down with a 15 year old that was having his baby and then was heartbroken and blaming her for an induced abortion or something? Again no, we're back at the fanfiction with that. Then, when it comes to the rape and assault, one second Izzy is there and one second he isn't. At one point it's only Axl, and then its 2-3 men, then no it's just Axl again. Her mother's boyfriend was there and got her, but had nothing to say about a 15 year old being gang-raped and beat? Different mindsets maybe, but in my area, if any man went to pick up their child or a girlfriend's child and could see her beaten and raped, that storage unit would have been torn down with their bare hands. And Duff going around her house, begging her not to press charges and Axl crying everytime he seen her afterward? Just not believable. It sounds like this woman does have some mental issues, and I hope she gets help for them, but as her podcast and book never went anywhere, it doesn't sound like she's a very credible person.
