Fucking hell I am feeling really nervous for them (and I haven’t really given much of a shit about the band for the last couple of years)

They’ve been touring here long enough to know what a big deal this festival is in the UK. I bet they’ll be feeling the nerve’s tomorrow omg :nervous:

Glastonbury is overrated. Slash has played before and axl probably rates Rock in Rio of more importance.

Does anyone have an idea of the situation of food and drink at the park because there's no going and leaving the grounds.  Will there be many options on the food and drink (alcohol) side and what kind of prices i'm gonna be looking at?

    Loads.

    Expensive.

Simple, Glastonbury isn't in Belgium or Denmark. The mainstream press in the UK largely praised Axl and the band at last year's shows in London even though the shows themselves were a disaster. The only negativity surrounded the issues at the venue. The band was praised.

"Axl’s virtuoso vocals as impressive today as ever." You won't find anyone here say that...

And 2018's Download set that wasn't great for Axl:

"...showing the band are back to their best"

Kiss has been getting positive reviews too even though their latest UK shows aren't great. The UK press loves a legacy act, and I guarantee that the UK press will find a way praise the band while the forum will find something to moan about, even if it's Slash holding a note for 0.001s longer than he did on the record 😂

Do reviews really matter? Positive or negative. I'm not sure they hold their worth like they did in the past. Especially with steaming and the internet when access to performances are so accessible. It's not as if the reviews will make or break the reception or alter future sales.

It's not, and it would be impossible for a 61 year old man to come close to that. However, the renewed energy is great to see, and some of the notes he hit tonight were very impressive. He looked he could've went another hour.

I'm wondering if they were restricted to 3 hours cause of  the late start and the festival. Interesting to see how they push it out at their next non festival show which will be Glasgow.

That prostitute was AMAZING! N I'm not talking bout my date last night (?)

MAN! Those Axl screams and Melisa backing vocals were perfect. Think is one of the best versions live out there from this song

Thought the screams were good but the mid range is weak like estranged. Lots of great vocals throughout tonights show but not convinced on the majority of the song.

Why does Axl sing Prostitute in that manner? It could be a half decent song but it's doomed from the start when he approaches it with that no power kinda off key mewing. He doesn't even sound like a professional singer.

This is not complaints complaints complaints, I generally think he's sounding decent for his age just wonder about his approach to this song. The style he chooses has zero chance for success.

I don't care how he sings it as long as he sings it at either Glasgow Rome or Paris. That's a rare track I want to hear.

It was already played apparently. Here’s the first 9 songs according to someone at the show:

    It's so Easy
    Bad Obsession
    Slither
    Chinese Democracy
    Live and Let Die
    Hard Skool
    Mr. Brownstone
    Rumble/Welcome to the Jungle
    Double Talkin Jive

They're wrong cause I've heard absurd on live and not hard skool
