I just can’t get my head around how Peter Kay is so popular. Phoenix Nights was a work of genius but I’ve not liked anything else he’s done.

I’ve not seen Halloween (2018) but of the ones I have seen I’d agree with that ranking. Halloween 3 is great. It has no relation to any of the other movies. The plan at the time after 1 and 2 was to release a new movie every year under the Halloween name but with a completely different story. This one’s about an evil toy maker who tries to kill millions of kids on Halloween. Got a kicking from the critics when it first came out because there was no Michael Myers but it’s been reappraised in recent years as a bit of an overlooked cult classic.

The franchise has been a pile of shit for the majority of the movies. I think there's probably been about 3 Halloween movies with Michael Myers as the main character than have been decent. The original is a classic and after that I think the second best Halloween is probably Halloween 3 and that doesn't have Michael Myers in it at all.

Haven't seen the last two but quite enjoyed this one.  Was expecting it to be a lot worsehaving seen a couple of the reviews.

Hey do you guys(or anyone else) know of a retro console I can buy that is nice quality and plug n play with great games pre-installed ready to go?

Buying as a gift for someone so don't wanna fuck around with setting up ROMS etc. I was looking at the 'Miyoo Mini V2' which looks really good tbh but it doesn't have an HDMI port and I'm wanting a console that fully supports 2 players. Also, while it does have a fuckload of games it has duplicate entries which is a minor gripe but quite annoying.

Hey man. Sorry, I built all mine from scratch so don't know of any prebuilt retro arcade consoles. If you want Nintendo games you can buy the SNES mini classics which have about 30 old games on them. You can hack them and install a bunch more though. Think I squeezed about 200 onto the one I had. 

My 7 year old and her friend were playing at ours yesterday. They found an old phone and I just heard a voice from the other room saying “I’m Karen and I want to speak to the manager!”  😂 Apparently playing Karen is a thing for younguns these days.

If I had to hazard a guess I'd say that the way out of this is via involvement from China and India. Xi isn't going to be too pleased if his plan for world domination via belt and road etc is put on hold by a nuclear holocaust. I'm betting that China puts the brakes on this via economic pressure unless Putin really decides to go full retard. It's in China's interest to have Russia in the conversation as long as it's advantageous for them. Once the balance tips too far I can see a major reallignment on the cards and China doesn't want to be butting heads with NATO be it militarily or due to sanctions imposed as a consequence of getting too cosy with Putin.

Also interesting to hear Russian politicians at the local level are now calling on for Putin to resign.

This could be a good sign or might lead to much scarier moments ahead as both Putin and Russian forces being backed into a corner. 

I found it very amusing that the Ukrainian military thanked Putin for being their largest single donor of tanks and equipment after the Russians shat themselves and ran.   😂

Anybody seen this on Disney? Ryan Reynolds and the bloke off It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia buy a lower league Welsh football club. For real. I’m loving it so far. 

Played an Arcade 1Up for the first time last night. Not impressed to be honest. Joysticks were terrible and the 3/4 cabinet size makes it very tricky to comfortable play two player games. 

Still in the process of getting the new house sorted but my nerd shrine is taking shape. 😂

'Ballad of Gay Tony' in particular is one of the greatest DLCs ever.

My favourite GTA is always gonna be Vice City if only for the fact that it completely nailed the 80’s setting. Enjoyed GTA IV but the driving in it was absolutely awful.
