  1. Seems likely that person's full of shit. However, if memory serves he actually said the line was from "Me and My Elvis" which later became "In This Grave". At the time, we all assumed that "Me and My Elvis" was the same song as "Soul Monster", but that no longer appears to be the case. It is a different song, so in theory could still be true lol.
  2. He also said this: “The General,” which he calls the B-side to “Perhaps,” also was long in progress and could join the show soon.
  3. it looks to me that they walk down a wide hallway and then turn to go through a door in a much smaller space. Bumble happens to be either in the way or walking the other way, and Mayhue sees him at the last second and puts out a hand to "guide" him out of the way as they're walking through. Totally misrepresented earlier when it was stated that he was thrown "against the wall" lol.

  5. there is a dude who posted a bunch of comments on YouTube, one of them was that a song name (pretty sure it was Soul Monster) had changed to In This Grave. It's almost certainly bullshit.
  6. Would love to hear a finished mix of Atlas Shrugged, always enjoyed the demo. Where was it mentioned that the name of this song was changed to "Never Said"? Read that somewhere but I can't remember where. It does make sense, the book is kind of bullshit and Axl said the song doesn't have anything to do with it anyways. It is a great title though.
  7. i do tend to agree with this, certainly the demos feel like they're demos, and not the final mix, so there's an obvious upgrade in quality. i really like what they did with Perhaps the most, and Slash and Duff's contributions improved Absurd as well. With Hard Skool, I'd rather listen to the release than the demo, for sure. But I will say that it's a pretty mediocre mix. And I'm not a drummer, but I think Brain is playing just slightly behind the beat and it gives the song a sense of excitement on the demo that's totally missing from the release where the drums are sterile and lifeless.
  8. gotta say, the video is pretty great. surprised they managed to keep it under wraps, but even more surprised they made one in the first place. Well done GNR!!
  9. previously released as a b-side in 1987 so it doesn't count. surprised that Hard Skool is winning handily so far. it is really close between that and Perhaps for me.
  10. i don't know if the space-time continuum has just been broken, but i'm pretty sure I just ordered The General on vinyl
  11. Since no one's done this yet, let's start a poll. Absurd, Hard Skool or Perhaps ... Whatcha got?
  12. can't wait to hear it again when it's released to the streaming services in a few months
  13. obviously need to hear it a few more times, but thought it sounded pretty good on first listen. definitely seems like a different vocal than the demo, and slash's solo ended really well. as someone mentioned early, seems like a more interesting depth to the mix than the last 2 as well.
  14. all things considered ... this is a pretty cool idea. perhaps gnr was right.
  15. dj just said that perhaps something special will happen in a few minutes
  16. can a single be pulled 20 minutes before its schedule radio debut? (asking for a band)
  17. at that moment, deep in the lair of Team Brazil ... "NOOO! This isn't the Drums up 1.5 db version!!! Abort the release!! ABORRT!"
  18. Imagine telling these people that this song will be a hit when it's released in 6 years ... and then in the distant future, Axl will take WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY longer to release new songs.
  19. After the success of the "Jukebox Incident", GNR should look for new (ie. old) methods to get their music out to the people. Next up is a "The General" flexi-disc in random magazines.
