  1. No, he just changed his settings for not letting other people tag him in pictures.
  2. I never considered GNR as a "hair-metal" band, unlike Motley Crue. I don't see the two bands as part of the same thing at all. In fact, GNR is one of the few hard rock stuff that I care about.
  3. Well, the thing is: could Axl release something now without Slash and Duff's approval? I strongly doubt it. So no, they are not just employees with minimal partnership status.
  4. Yeah, the Silkworms, OMG and Going Down leaks are very good hints at this possibility.
  5. Is this where the next GNR single will leak?
  6. Did we have all those snippets before? Really liked the Chris Robinson track, though it sounds a lot like Black Crowes (which I like anyways).
  7. Don't know the details. But let's hope someone from the band show up there at the gala.

  9. Its for SKMC. You can see the waveform on the screen, if it was for GNR it would be clipping
  10. Yeah, Brain was there with the band in the 2022 South American tour at least.
  11. IMO, they don't have to release a cover album, but I wouldn't mind if they did. And I love Wichita too. Ideally, I wish they just release anything in a proper manner - I mean, in album format. They don't have to expect that every song will be loved, so release whatever they already have and move on. From when they released Absurd to now, they could've already released 2 albums worth of new songs (and I'm including CD era tracks here too). The best way to deal with all the pressure is to release it.
  12. I can't keep up with this thread, you guys are faster than my ability to read all of this.
  13. Very impressive. I didn't hear the whole thing, but the parts I've heard were pretty good. I mean, I understand the thing with Axl's imitations, but the guy is very talented in his own right. I almost feel like he could do better by not trying to imitate Axl's voice and go with a more unique approach. The acoustic renditions were very good too, the guy is talented. I do think it would be better with a more different arrangement, as some stuff was too close to the electric guitar version.
  14. So do we know if the guy singing is any good? He said he wrote leads for Madagascar and TWAT and I 100% believe this is what we heard in some parts of the Village demos, which are horrendous. I doubt he played the acoustic rhythm guitar on TWAT. It's an important part and integral to get it right with timing, tone and all.
  15. Not sure, but AFAIK it was present in the 1999 version, so I'd say it's either Paul or Robin.
  16. Thanks. I agree with you, but I doubt Melissa had anything to do with it. I think it's way more plausible to be Caram and Axl. Everybody does this on pro tools. The secret is to not make it sounding like it. Kinda like movie CGI
  17. Thanks for sharing this info! It's really fascinating! Maybe the lack of interplay between drums and bass is only some editing fuck up? Arguably, Duff recorded his parts after the drum track, but maybe he played following a different version/arrangement. My theory is that this was a heavily edited combination of real drums, samples and fake drums put together by Caram and Axl for some reason.
  18. It may be the case indeed. We sure don't know if he started working on something already. My comment about his lack of awareness was based on his live performances. He often struggles to sing something that he thought he could, or just ignore the options he considered (like Perfect Crime, OMG) probably because he found out he wasn't comfortable singing those.
