  1. The intro has pronounced similarities. Not looking for deeper meaning.
  2. I'm not surprised at this collaboration given that "Bohemian Like You" has a very similar riff to "One in a Million"
  3. I think this is what may have happened with that one, based on nothing other than the timing
  4. At the time I thought that Contraband probably put the brakes on Chinese Democracy. Its a very strong album with a sound different to GNR. A Contraband/CD best of would be interesting.
  5. I had the chance to listen to it 3-4 times before it was taken down. This leak definitely had my favourite moments of all the latest songs. A little bit disjointed, but something that I feel has staying power and needs several listens.
  6. I like both for different reasons, I always find myself tapping along to Adlers drumming. Its just very natural and bouncy. At the same time I love Sorums hard hitting drums on the Illusions and VR records. I like the fact he had a bit of balls in terms of challenging Axl. He's also got one of my favourite Post-Gnr songs "The Sea". Question for those who know more than me: How much of the Illusions did Matt actually create the drum parts for?
  7. I love You Got No Right Also. One of the first songs they ever wrote and performed (think it was the fashion show they played it at first, with Izzy). When I heard it live first I thought to myself "Its a long time since i've heard a solo like that in a song"
  8. Not sure if this has been discussed yet, but did Duff look a little “out of it” on stage? He looked dazed. Also, Slash was drooling during a couple of songs!
  9. I thought KOHD was the best song of the night. Everyone sounded good. There was a great image of Axl with what looked like Angel wings behind him too. I watched on BBC. The sound wasn’t great for the vocals. I was skeptical because Axl’s lower register was coming through fine.
  10. I'm not sure what version i'm listening to, but Axl is doing the backing vocals and it sounds like Buckethead is playing lead at the end. In my opinion it would sound better without Axls vocals. I love "Village Gorilla Head" and think this would sound better there than on a GNR album.
  11. VR - twice SMKC - twice (maybe a third) Gilby Clarke - once The first VR show and the Gilby one were special. The VR one because there was such a massive buzz at the time, and they were really good live. The Gilby one because I got to meet him and the band. It was a really small venue and I was surprised they were playing there. I was about 10 feet from the stage the whole time, and i was really into his music at the time. Their drummer gave me a free album from his band. They were very down to earth. Great experience.
  12. I would say Axl is an admirer of Madonna's "Frozen". That would make a nice collaboration.
  13. UYI 1 for me. Even as a hardcore fan, its easy to forget just how great November Rain is. YCBM is my 2nd favourite GNR rock song, but I dont think UYI 2 was helped by the fact it phased out after YCBM, and then no original album followed for years.
